a headcanon is a fact that you have personally made up as an elaboration of canon. it is your invention. e.g. i think morgana and gwen had a teenage lesbian situationship before the events of canon. or, i think modern morgana would love evanesence.

an interpretation is how one reads the existing text. it is not an invented fact nor is it a headcanon, it is a reading. e.g. i think merlin tries to poison morgana out of misplaced self-hatred. or, i think that one line was delivered with suppressed malice and shows a nuanced relationship.

fanon is the general fandom’s accepted headcanons and interpretations that elaborate or recontextualize canon. e.g. merlin is a badass waif and morgana is a bitch.

My god, it's fascinating how much I missed drawing SAMLB; messed-up-Sun in specific. I dunno why. I was doing the bent metal and something in my brain felt at peace. He's out of the horrors now, he's looking cute and fancy sure, but oh burnt chicken nugget Sun you will always be famous.

Summary:

A tempestuous night, unlike the others before it. An automaton that shouldn't exist. A mission gone awry, by no one's fault but your own. The downfall of everything you believed to be true, of all the ghosts you so desperately tried to keep buried. -- Sun thought himself to be a unique robot, for reasons he's never learned. After spending his life searching for answers that everyone around him knows, but won't tell him, a storm is the thing to bring him a chance in the form of an automaton eerily similar to himself. That fire to learn is ignited again, stronger than ever, but he must be smarter this time. There are things happening behind the curtains that Sun has no way of knowing about, unless he breaks that fragile trust that keeps you and him at an arm's lenght. This is his life; ...not just his, he soon discovers. There is so much more to everything than just two automatons that share enough similarities to raise concerns left and right. Because if the second one shouldn't exist... Sun shouldn't exist either. It's only logical. An odd alliance forms between two beings, one on each side of this war, desperate to learn about what they were made for, and what they want to become.

Some of them are! There will be a lot of 'canon' ships in GITM, but not all of them are quite as allo as some of the fanart would suggest. My interest is more in character dynamics and non-sexual intimacy, so I expect that many of the relationships will lean that way. Several of the characters are foils, and will have really ramped up chemistry and very intense relationships that will make them very easy to ship together- but whether those ships will come to fruition romantically in the story is up in the air!

HAH this was never about snacks I fooled yo ass (silly) nah but fr, this was a personal exercise in: drawing them faster/simpler, brainstorming, and figuring out their energy sources. Personally it helped a lot.

I didn't feel like cleaning up this one because I can feel burnout approaching in the horizon, so that's why Sun's rays are straight. He kinda looks neat like that anyway so gg.

The timeline of this one is: finale arc. The Final Showdown. And that's why I'm giving None Context at all to what the fuck is going on :3c
