people think the problem with being bipolar is that it means you’re bipolar. actually it’s the fact that people who know about your disorder will overanalyze your behavior and think everything is a symptom. and it’s impossible to convince someone who thinks you’re hypomanic that you’re not hypomanic because they’ll just be like “sounds like something a hypomanic person would say....” like YES I cut my hair or spent some money. people do that all the time like please am I allowed to be normal
just remembered i have a sprite in my fridge
this cat has more furniture than most ppl

When ppl kno about ur depression and they randomly ask “are you okay? How are you doing?” In that special voice
Whats up u depressed bastard
you are allowed to be proud of the victories that no one else can see. like showering without completely hating your body, not breaking into tears at the thought of the future, talking yourself out of a dark mindset, calming yourself down in public, or like waking up every single day and choosing life. be proud of the progress no matter if it is visible for others or not. you’re doing great, keep up the good work!
think about how much blood there is in the world
sorry i meant to type “thinking” this wasn’t a command
great thank you

Controversial opinion but let’s stop praising and admiring and worshipping people that get into relationships with mentally ill people or disabled people. It’s dehumanizing as a bipolar person to hear society praise this person for “putting up with” a mentally ill person It makes me feel absolutely disgusting and horrible at myself for being mentally ill. When I hear people be praised and admired for dating a disabled or mentally ill person I think I’m not worthy of love that my only hope of love is some “nice” person that will “put up with me”.
Just stop praising people for dating disabled or mentally Ill people it’s gross dehumanizing and makes us feel unworthy of love. People aren’t automatically great for “putting up” with us they aren’t deserving of praise for dating someone in a wheelchair. They are simply dating and both of them should be treated normal like any same abled couple
We should acknowledge the challenges and barriers the couple and individuals in that relationship has overcome but we shouldn’t praise them for being in a relationship simply because they are differently able. We can acknowledge it’s harder without praising them for it and we can treat them humanely and fairly without taking it over board
We really need to stop praising people as heroic or whatever for loving anyone with disabilities/mental health issues/neurodiversities, that not only includes dating but also parenting children, friendships, just everything.
