Stopping By || Sebcedes
Sebastian smiled into the kiss with a tiny, almost inaudible hum that accompanied it. She was a sight for sore eyes, though the doctor would admit that his eyes hurt mere minutes of not seeing her. “Ah, really,” he asked as his hands locked together at the small of her back. “They have great taste and you, well, you have a real talent in doing that matching thing,” Sebastian responded with a few approved head nods. He chuckled lightly at Mercedes reply. “I mean, it wouldn’t be much but I can round up some snacks and drinks. Get our impromptu picnic on,” he said with and amused smirk on his lips. When she asked for the reasoning behind his gifts, Sebastian could feel his cheeks burning with a blush. Of course she was going to ask and he had tried to prepare for it, but obviously the mutant butterflies that flapped around in his stomach proved that it was an unsuccessful mission. His brows quirked at the thought of her racking her brain for clues and answers. For a nanosecond Sebastian entertained the thought of messing with Mercedes, but that sounded like it could go down the wrong path very quickly. He cleared his throat and shook his head. “Well, it’s not that important of a date. Not one that you had to remember, anyways. It was just a day… that, uh… is celebrated by some. It’s just… we can call it a ‘just because’ gift if you want? I mean, I.. uh, yeah,” he stumbled as her gorgeous chocolate brown eyes bore into his. “It-uh-it’s a thing, just… one of those days.” Sebastian mentally kicked himself as he couldn’t get the words out. It seems as though that every time he was around Mercedes it was a hit or miss for him and the act of remaining calm, cool, and collected.
She grinned when he said that she had talent for matching. “You should have seen me in college. Even my phone case and glasses matched sometimes.” She even had a few different Tardis phone cases in different colors. “You say it wouldn’t be much, but with you present is more than enough.” Literally all she ever needed was him present and it felt like she was the luckiest woman in the world to just spending time with him. No matter what they were doing. “But I’d be down for an impromptu picnic. My schedule is clear, I can spend time with you here, and just hang out until you have something you need to do,” she offered. Mercedes hand lifted when his cheeks flushed, to caress his soft skin. “It’s a day that is celebrated by some?” she asked wanting a little bit of elaboration. “One of those days? I mean I’m glad for the just because gift, and I love it. But my curiosity is spiked, especially since I’m getting this adorable stuttery blushing side of you that I don’t normally see. Which is cute, by the way.” Normally she was the nervous wreck, but today most of the time cool as a cucumber, he was not so cool this time around.
