Deckard Shaw didn’t like asking for help, especially outside of his family.
There was only one exception. You.
You could find out anything about anyone, any place, any time. He had no idea how you did it and he’d learned early not to ask questions if he wanted your help. So, he kept his mouth shut and paid you dearly for the information. You’d yet to fail him.
Except this time, you weren’t responding to his messages. He was more than a little annoyed, but truth be told, he was also concerned. It wasn’t like you to drop off the radar. And knowing things people didn’t want you to know, didn’t want anyone to know, placed a giant fucking target on your back.
He gave it three days and then he headed to the one place he was sure to find you. You owned a small estate in Southern Ireland that you’d turned into a private library. Access limited to only those you allowed. Books. Maps. Information. Weapons. A veritable treasure trove. Unknown to most, your private residence was tucked away in the guest house on the grounds. He’d been inside exactly three times and he was hoping for a fourth.
He drove to the estate and decided to start with the main building. Jogging up to the door, he looked at the camera that confirmed his identity to allow him entrance. The guard just inside nodded as Deckard walked in. He returned the gesture and headed for the actual library. Every time he’d been here, he’d found you curled up in a chair with a book in your lap and a smile on your face.
His eyes scanned the room as he stepped inside, but he didn’t see you. Instead, he found your assistant Benjamin. “Mr. Shaw. Is there anything in particular I can help you with today?”
“Where is she?” Deckard’s voice was clipped, rough. His worry had him doing away with pleasantries.
The man didn’t blink. “I’m afraid I’m not at liberty to share that information.”
Deckard took a step forward, stopping when he heard the click of a safety disengaging behind him. He held up his hands to show he wasn’t a threat. “Look, she’s not responding to messages or answering her phone. I’m concerned for her wellbeing. That’s all.”
Benjamin’s brow furrowed. “I assure you that we have received no messages.”
Deckard clenched his teeth and a muscle in his jaw twitched. “I didn’t send them to you.”
He watched the realization cross the younger man’s face that he had direct access to you, a privilege you didn’t give to many. He opened his mouth to respond but was cut off by your voice coming from the level above.
“It’s fine, Benjamin. Mr. Shaw is a friend.”
Deckard glanced up and found you standing at the top of the curved staircase that took up the middle of the room. His gaze ran over you, making certain you were whole and unharmed.
“Leave us,” you instructed as you started down the stairs. “Close the door.”
Your assistant hurried to comply with your instructions and soon enough you and Deckard were alone. “Hello, Dove,” he greeted.
The corner of your lips kicked up in a smirk. “Hello, Deck.”
He immediately moved into your space as soon as you on the same level as him. His hands found your hips and his lips found yours. Eventually he pulled away to breathe and rested his forehead against yours. “You didn’t respond to me. I was worried.”
You hummed in acknowledgement before pulling away from him and moving to your desk. Your fingers traced the edge of a thick folder on top of it. “The information you’re after…it was better that you come here.”
“And you couldn’t just tell me that?”
Your eyes found his and for the first time since he’d met you, he saw genuine fear there. “They can’t know I was involved. That I told you anything.”
His brow furrowed as he stepped forward. “I never even told you what I needed.”
“You didn’t have to,” you said as you picked up the folder and held it out to him. “This is everything there is to know about Eteon.”

Notes: gardener!reader; reader works outside of the palace; takes place pre-thor 1!
word count: 1.3k
For as long as you can remember, you’ve always loved the gardens connected to the palace of Asgard.
Nature was your calling, and many a time have you stopped tending to your duties as a garden keeper to just allow yourself to be completely immersed in the lavish, tranquil greenery.
Your job never felt like one. In fact, it was the highlight of your daily life.
One of two, at least.
As you’re maintaining the soil of recently planted herbs, a fleeting noise manages to whisper in your ear. You turn, scanning the area, but no one has made their way into your space.
Perhaps it was the wind.
You return to your duties, smoothing over one last patch of dirt before looking on with satisfaction.
“Quite the green thumb you have.” Although the one who utters those words is completely discernible, the lack of warning to his arrival is what causes the startle.
“Loki!” A hand flies to your chest right behind a small yelp from the suddenness of his appearance. “We talked about this, you cannot keep materializing out of nowhere whenever you see fit. Unless you wish to see my heart fail one of these days.”
“Oh, it was just a bit of fun,” the one in question responds, making no effort to conceal the amusement that your reaction brought him. “Plus it was all worth it to see the look on your face.”
You shake your head, relenting to his antics.
See, Loki is the younger prince of Asgard. Despite your polar opposite roles in this kingdom, the two of you have seemed to form a bond with one another.
The first meeting must have been a decade or so ago, when you caught the raven-haired man nestled among the rows of flowers in a desperate attempt to find a new place of solace from his louder older brother and the company he voluntarily kept—his words, actually, not yours.
Since then, he’s visited often, and you make the room to accommodate him every time because you truly adore his company despite his tendency to scare the remainder of your life force out of you more and more whenever he shows up. The company is mainly consistent; sometimes it ranges between the pair of you hosting deep, thought-provoking conversations. Other times, it was enough to simply sit with each other after exchanging pleasantries.
And sometimes, like now, he would watch you work, examining the way you delicately cared for the life thriving within these gardens like it was your own.
“The usual?” you inquire, referring to whether or not he had run away again.
“For a change, no,” he says. “My brother and his companions have set off on a conquest that I had no desire to join, so I decided to relax here. Ensure you’re still doing your job, of course.”
“I’m almost honored with how highly you think of me,” the dry quip follows, matching his humor in a way that has him cracking a small smile.
“How have the amaryllises been faring as of late, by the way?” His question has you shifting, sarcasm swapped out with glimmering excitement.
“Come! Come and see!”
Loki strides behind you as you move to one of the farther expanses of the garden, where a large patch of rows—all exclusively containing the amaryllis flower—sit, the sunlight hitting the petals like they were having their own personal golden hour.
“I figured you’d rather enjoy seeing them up close.” It was clear how much pride you took in them, and the prince was impressed with the fruit of your labor.
“This is… quite magnificent, dear (y/n).”
The compliment has you beaming further, “Aren’t they the most beautiful thing you’ve ever laid eyes on?”
Loki noticed your spark—this truly was your element.
“I wouldn’t say the most.”
You miss the most passing of glances in your direction, laughing off the statement and marking it as another one of his naturally satirical quips.
“Well, pretend for a moment. For my sake.”
He makes a small laugh at your insistence, “...They are quite something.”
You nod in satisfied agreement, “Ironically, these flowers are actually the symbol of beauty, or so I’ve been told. And if it is true, then they certainly live up to the tales. Maybe even more.”
“The passion you hold for nature is inspiring, to say the least.”
“Be glad, it’s what keeps this place lively. All the more comfortable in the end for you, no?”
“I suppose so,” he replies. “That reminds me. I found something for you just this morning.”
The revelation piques your interest, “For me?” You don’t speak again until after a confirmation has been received. “What is it?”
Loki steps forward, placing his hands behind his back. When he’s deemed himself close enough to you, they’re brought back into view, this time holding a thick view, its cover decorated with gold vines leaves and vines that wrap gracefully around its entirety.
There’s no doubt about it that the book contains much about the very thing that takes up about 80% of your daily occupation, meant to fuel the flame that keeps you so engaged.
“I was going through the selection in our library when I stumbled upon this,” he explains. “And before you ask, it’s completely fine that I give this to you, it’s a guarantee no one will even notice it missing, really. I thought you could…find enjoyment in it.”
“This is…” you’re left speechless, a deep appreciation for his observation and thoughtfulness squeezing at your chest. “This is so kind of you. I don’t know what to say.”
“Shall we start with you actually taking the book into your own hands, then?” he teases, drawing a chuckle from you as you do just that, brushing a thumb lightly over the cover.
“...Thank you.” The features of your face soften when the two of you make eye contact, conveying how deep the sentiment touched you. “This is a wonderful gift. I owe you.”
“Nonsense. I beg to differ. Just knowing that you’ll put it to good use will be enough for me.”
You nod in return, “That I certainly will.”
After that, Loki remained with you until he sensed the return of his brother, bidding you a goodbye before using his magic to return somewhere within the palace.
When the time came where there was nothing more to tend to for the day, you took your own leave, embarking on the brief journey to your nearby home, the weighty book clutched to your chest the entire way.
Opening it was the first thing you did after getting settled in, turning to the first page. There was something inside of it, though—two things, actually.
The first was a flower, one that was unmistakably similar to the ones you’d shown to your mischievous companion. How he’d managed to get his hands on one, you’ll never know, but it left you smiling regardless.
What was paired with it was a small, folded note. Curiously, you reverse the handiwork, smoothing out the paper creases.
There, in neat, elegant handwriting, it read:
Beauty should become acquainted with its originator.
It lacked a signature, but you knew exactly who wrote it, the words sending an exhilarating flutter throughout your body, along with a wide smile that you’re sort of glad no one else can see now, lest you go hot with embarrassment.
Twirling the stem of the flower between your fingertips, the message the note carries feels ever more intimate, such a small gesture making a large impact.
“...Thank you, Loki,” you murmur into the empty air, hoping that despite the distance, the man with raven hair and emerald eyes would be able to magically hear you someway.
Your most adored treasure whom you found hidden among the flowers.
AN: I watched See How They Run over break and of course a blurb popped into my head about Inspector Stoppard. I’ve Got A Crush On You by Sarah Vaughan stayed on repeat as I wrote this.
Word Count: 523
It started with three words.
"Dance with me,"
Inspector Stoppard whispered against Hazel’s ear, his bushy mustache tickling her neck as she washed the last of their dishes from dinner. He wrapped his arms around her waist, his chin laying on her shoulder. It’s how Hazel found herself ensnared in such an intimate position. Her fingers laced together with Stoppard calloused digits, worn from his days in the war and now his work as an inspector. His other hand rested on the small of her back, pulling her against him, gently swaying her to the jazz record flowing through the den.
"Switching it up, are we?" Hazel asked, a playful lilt to her voice. "I'm usually the one who has to drag you from your seat to do this," she said, with a grin.
"I believe you once said, 'you could stand to lose a button,'" he reminded, staring warmly down at her.
"Or two, John," she remarked, her eyes glinting mischievously.
The quip made laughter fill the air, mingling with the music from the record player which played in the background.
"Lucky me," Stoppard commented, letting his forehead rest against hers. "I happen to know a lovely woman who’s helping with that," he said softly.
Another smile tugged on Hazel’s lips, giggling softly as they continued to sway to the swell of strings from the gramophone. A blissful sigh escaped her and Hazel closed her eyes, enjoying the feeling of being in the arms of Stoppard. She could stay like this forever, dancing with him every night in the comfort of his den. Silence lulled over them as they easily swayed back and forth to the soft music. Stoppard pulled her closer and tighter to him, the heat from his body enveloping her like a blanket. Laying her head on his chest, she listened to his heartbeat and closed her eyes.
"This is heaven to me," Stoppard said, his tone hushed.
The sentence sent shivers up her spine. Hazel drew back slightly, smiling warmly at him. And without words being exchanged, his lips found hers. It started out as slow, lingering, but the soft kisses slowly grew into greedier ones. Hazel’s eyes slid close, letting the feeling of his lips against hers consume her. Effortlessly, he started walking her backwards towards his bedroom, never breaking contact with her mouth as they went, his hands pulling her flush against his chest. When they reached the door Hazel pulled away, her lungs needing oxygen. Stoppard’s forehead came to rest against hers once again as her fingers softly played with the hair at the nape of his neck.
"Aren’t you going to invite me in?" Hazel asked, a coy grin on lips.
Stoppard smirked, lowering his face into the crook of her neck and nuzzling the area with his nose.
"Won’t you come in?" He asked, pressing a trail of kisses against her neck.
Giving him a smile, Hazel let two of her fingers walk along his tie until she lightly grasped it.
"I thought you’d never ask," she said, walking backwards and guiding him through the door frame by his tie.

Theme Song: ALWAYS BEEN YOU by Chris Grey
You fell straight into the water, Loki’s chest coming in contact with your cheek that made you thrash all the more.
You were completely soaked, weighed down by your drenched clothes and could feel Loki laughing below you were you shot up onto your knees to glare at him.
‘’What the Hel??”
‘’Careful darling, booze or not at least try to contain your tongue.’’ he smirked, hands on your waist while you found yourself having straddled him, watching how he leaned close with a predatory grin. ‘’Or perhaps put it to better use.’’
‘’Your highness- please no more of your tricks,’’ you reasoned, holding your glare but doing your best to properly communicate with him while you rose to stand.
Loki’s hands tightened and pushed your hips back down, keeping you sitting on him with enough force that had your hands shooting forward onto his chest so you wouldn't face plant again. ‘’No tricks darling, there’s a perfectly good reason for my antics.’’
‘’For your amusement?” you dare say, shaking from not necessarily the temperature while you looked at him with a plea to let you go. Especially when you began feeling what was happening beneath you that raised you up higher significantly on him.
‘’Shhh, now hold still..’’ he whispered, a hand rising out of the water to have his fingertips caress across your cheek before his palm cupped it. He felt your stiffness and the beginning want to pull away so his fingers then glided back and tangled themselves in your hair, gaining a slight pressure that now gave him control of your head.
It didn't hurt, but it startled you enough to have your own hand rise and grasp his wrist- not at all strong enough to pull it away before you felt him lean forward- simultaneously pulling your face forward to meet him half way.
Your whole body was rigid, fear, anger and confusion all mixing into one where your eyes just stared into his that seemed to be busy studying your facial features. The corner of his mouth tugged up while he explored his view, smirking upon catching your gaze finally before he began turning your face a bit to the side.
‘’My my don’t we have some interesting features, quite unique if you ask me.’’ he teased and made you frown.
Everyone was unique, different.. What was he playing at?
The feeling of the tip of his nose ghosting against your neck now made you try to tug away, merely having his fingers grip your hair harder and pulling a whimper from you. ‘’Stay darling, i want to explore you..’’
The way he whispered it had his warm breath seem to caress your flesh. His other hand had stayed put on your hip, but now began using his thumb to gently stroke at what exposed flesh your dress had revealed upon its movements in the water. Your free hand was still at his chest, making great effort to try to push him away but he barely budged. It was almost as if he hardly noticed while he continued to brush his nose amongst your neck and under your jaw before you began hearing him take in deep inhales.
Your heart immediately jumped and you once again began trying to rise to your knees. ‘’M-my lord please- if there are no other duties for the night then i really should be-’’
‘’Serving me is your duty, as does your new position require and right now, i wish for you to stay.’’ he said firmly but his voice held no anger, seeming distracted before he tipped his head back ever so slightly, letting you feel now the brush of his lips from where his nose had just explored.
‘’P-please-’’ you panicked, clearly shaking while his other hand continued to tighten and hold you down onto him.
If he were to discover the true scent of you- that could lead to many, many bad things. To let in a stranger, an off-worlder, a non-Asgardian into this realm upon a lie, let alone in the palace itself, would cause an uproar. ‘A traitor among us’ where accusations would then stir if you were a spy. After tonight with the pastries, it wouldn't help your case in the least and you just might be locked up for this.
Let alone discovering you were the princess, of all things!
Now it would grant many opportunities for not only ransom, but all kinda of blackmail towards your own realm.
‘’I do not like liars Y/N, nor those who chose not to answer the question, so let's play a game.’’ Loki murmured against your skin, continuing to smell you before you’d now and again feel his tongue slowly flick out to taste your explored flesh.
‘’I d-dont want too..’’ you whimpered, sucking in a breath when you felt him shift, not knowing if it was intentional or not to brush his cock up against your clothes sex but it might be due to the fact that it was uncomfortable because he was aroused.
That was no fault of yours, but you hated how he seemed to smirk at how your cheeks reddened and your eye contact abandoned him when he pulled away just a little to look at you.
‘’Servants hardly get choices, if any. My hand is going to stay here,’’ he squeezed your hip now to emphasize where he was talking about. ‘’If I'm satisfied with your answers to my questions, it will remain still. If you lie, or refuse to speak, it shall make its way.. Elsewhere.’’
‘’Loki-’’
The hand that had been in your hair was quick to slide to your throat, squeezing just a little to hold your attention while his thumb pressed into your jawbone to make sure you were looking at him. ‘’That is twice you have dared to use my name. In all the years of your service, how do you find it acceptable to find yourself speaking so casually amongst the very being who holds your life in his hands?” His words were sharp and you squeezed your eyes to compose yourself before looking at him.
In all honesty, you had no idea while his name instead of all the royal titles came from your mouth. If you thought about it, perhaps it was all the unfortunate bonding time- as cruel as it may be- had grown a strange type of relationship between you. He’d never admit it, but he’s constantly said your name plenty of times when it’s deemed appropriate (to him) rather than his usual negative nicknames like slave, servant, quim, wench and pet.
‘’It might be the.. Influence of the alcohol, sire.’’ you squeaked out, his hand having gotten a tad tighter as if to amuse himself with how your voice would sound while he used himself as a necklace.
It wasn't a lie, not entirely, but enough to pass where he looked over you, seeming now distracted in his new position of power with your throat in his hand, to pick up anything negative. Or he just didn't care.
‘’Are you a virgin?”
He must have decided to get started on this game and it had your eyes boring into his with every accusation becoming true that you wish to see him meet his end. He saw this, and only had him smirk more- as if it was a familiar look he only took joy in purely because he knew he drew in a truthful, pure and amusing reaction out of you.
Swallowing as best you could, you drew in a breath when you felt his hand’s tightness lessen to allow you to speak. ‘’..no.’’
Loki didn't particularly react, more so you probably just confirmed what he had already guessed. As shy as you were in particular matters, you were no prude. Which is most likely what sent him to be curious on the next following factor but at least his hand remained still- other than his stroking thumb.
‘’Do you hate me?”
Your eyes lessened their glare, more so curiosity invaded your features while you looked him over as if to check- but there was no obvious hesitance while you sucked in another breath. ‘’Yes.’’
‘’Why?”
Your words were caught off when you felt a particular twitch beneath you, causing you to close your eyes and try to will away that strange, tingling feeling that was being drawn out between your legs. There was no way in Hel you were actually feeling-
His hand began to move off of your hip, now caressing your thigh just below it. ‘’You’re hesitating.’’
Quickly, you opened your eyes and tried to maintain a glare. ‘’Your cruel to your people.’’
Loki smirked and raised his chin, looking down his nose at you when you winced before lessening his grip again. ‘’I am fair to my people. I treat them as such to maintain order and the balance of service.’’ His eyes narrowed and leaned forward to get closer, almost brushing his nose against yours while you felt your body tensing. ‘’I am cruel to you, aren't I?"
You felt your body shaking, curling your fingers into your palms in hopes for a distraction from your nails while also realizing both hands had made their way onto his chest. You hated to admit it, but truth was no substitute for weakness. So you looked at him with no fear and prayed he saw it. ‘’Yes.’’
Loki smirked and you could feel his own heart beating hard below your hands. Curiosity made you wonder why that was. Now and again his cock would twitch below you, causing your breathing to sharpen before you glared at him, knowing partly he was doing it on purpose with how he smirked from your reactions.
‘’Do you know what I smelled Y/N? Radiating off of you like pure ecstasy..’’ his eyes then began to explore your face again, his grip almost lessening before he began turning your face side to side. ‘’I smelled it once before, earlier.. When you decided to go swimming in the water trough.’’
You glared at him before you tensed when he turned your face back harshly to look at him head on, daring you to move while his hand began to shift, curving up enough where now his thumb began to run back and forth across your bottom lip. You wanted to lean away, but knew better while you continued to glare at him. Only did it break when you felt his hand begin to creep again by your silence, curling downwards to where his palm was now pressed against the inside of your thigh, his thumb dangerously close to your sex and causing you to quickly speak up.
‘’No.’’
‘’Mm lies,’’ Loki hummed, knowing damn well you knew what he smelled and you could feel his thumb now begin to stroke in that one place that connects the thigh to your intimates, just one breath away from your sex.
Your heart raced, knowing your hesitance would cost you again while your mind panicked for an answer. Loki looked extremely calm, as if happy with or without one- either way, his hand was on you and your stomach twisted into knots with not necessarily knowing what you were feeling.
If living a lifetime under his thumb (literally) was going to be your fate, then you were no better off than home. The only decision you had was picking which headache to live with.
The moment Loki’s hand tensed to begin moving, your mouth opened with the truth.

Summary: Based on "Imagine Deckard Shaw trying to ask you out." by @thefandomimagine
You watched Hobbs throw another soldier in the air as if he weighed nothing. The scream cut off sharply, as the body hit the ground.
"That must have hurt," you observed, casually leaning against the wall. The red alarm lights blazed around the facility.
"He'll be fine, just a few broken bones," Deckard wiped the blood off his face, standing next to you.
With a strange sort of detachment, you watched as a new surge of soldiers ran to face Hobbs. Quite a number of them were already lying on the ground.
"Maybe we should help him?" you suggested. Hobbs had run out of bullets some time ago and was now using whatever wasn’t bolted to the floor. With his height, he reached a lot of things.
Deckard pulled a face.
"Look at him, he's doing just fine."
Hobbs roared. A soldier hesitated before pulling the trigger. The weapon was ripped out of his hands.
You whistled quietly. Deckard rolled his eyes.
"Come on, since when are you a fan of brute force?"
"Maybe since that brute force could crack my skull open with one hand?" you laughed, noticing his grimace. "Come on, Deck, that's impressive and you know it."
Deckard ostentatiously looked at his watch. You already had what you came for and were waiting for Hobbs to finish off the rest of the guards.
"Impressive or not, if he doesn't pick up the pace, we won't get out in time for lunch."
"It's not like we'd be allowed into any restaurant anyway. We still got that warrant on our heads."
Deckard shot you a quick, careful glance. This was his chance. Even standing so close to you, it was difficult to read your expression.
"Well," he started. "I know a nice, quiet place if you wanted to-"
A body slammed into the wall between Deckard and you. Something cracked.
With all eyes back on him, Hobbs, almost out of breath, stared angrily at you.
"Thanks for the help."
You laughed breezily, pushing from the wall.
"Come on, it's not like you actually needed any."
You found a car nearby and moved to start it. Without the keys, probably well hidden in one of the bad guys' pockets, it was going to take a moment.
Hobbs watched you go. Deckard stormed up to him, buzzing with anger. His fists itched and he wished he could wipe that smirk off the man's face.
"I see what you're doing," he growled through gritted teeth. "You're an asshole."
Hobbs laughed, crossing his arms over his wide chest. He was showing off his muscles on purpose and savored the look on Deckard’s face.
"Well, then maybe, Mr. Subtle, you should try something less subtle next time?"
He knew how many times Deckard had tried to ask you out in the past- after all, it would be difficult to hide something so obvious while being on the same team. Well, you managed not to notice, but you had a lot on your mind lately.
"Interrupt me again and I'm going to rip your bald head off and play-"
"BOYS," you leaned from the driver's seat. "We gotta go."
They looked where you were pointing, and noticed reinforcements coming their way. A lot of reinforcements.
With a final look of mutual hatred, they rushed to the car.

You were officially past due. Your belly hung heavy like overripe fruit on a branch, ready to snap at any moment.
In the week leading up to your due date, you had tried everything to induce labor. A vast array of spicy foods. As much exercise as you could endure. A desperate prayer to any god who would hear you. None of it worked. Your prayers seemed to fall on deaf ears.
The Asgardian midwives you had trusted to care for you and guide you through your pregnancy assured you that you were perfectly healthy, that your daughter was safe in your womb, and that she would make her glorious appearance when fate decided it was time.
But that didn’t help the dull ache in your ribs that flared whenever your daughter squirmed inside you.
You had almost rolled your eyes during the midwives’ last visit, but Loki had placed a consoling hand atop yours.
“I am not trying to silence you,” He reminded you gently after they’d left, brushing his thumbs tenderly over your cheeks. “I am simply trying to protect your peace. Now, please tell me all of your worries, that I may listen and alleviate them.”
You burst into tears against his chest.
Now nearly a week past due, Loki insisted on you resting as often as you could. He stood straight as an arrow at the kitchen counter, preparing dinner. You envied his perfect posture now more than ever.
You sat at the table, your swollen feet propped up on an ottoman. You rubbed the stretched expanse of your stomach absentmindedly. As you looked out the window into your garden, you realized how much you had neglected it over the past few weeks. Your flowers wilted lifelessly. Your vegetables had developed leathery, rotting patches at their bases. Weeds were beginning to creep up your trellises.
It didn’t help that it had been an unusually dry Autumn. New Asgard hadn’t seen so much as a sun shower in days.
“We could really use a good storm.” You mumbled to yourself.
“Did you say something, darling?” Loki turned to face you, concerned and doting.
Then, the thought struck you like lightning on a distant prairie. An old wives’ tale.
Babies are often born in storms.
You looked up at your husband with a mixed expression of desperation, conviction, and hope.
“Call your brother.”
With the promise of a home cooked meal prepared by his dear brother, Thor made his way to your cottage in the hills. His hearty knock rattled the doorframe.
“Come in!” You called urgently from the kitchen table. The door creaked open. Thor ducked as he crossed the threshold and smiled sympathetically at you.
“Hello, sister.” He leaned down to wrap you in a brotherly embrace.
“Thank you for coming.” You draped your arms around his broad shoulders and gave his back a pat. When he pulled away, you motioned to the empty seat beside you. “Please, sit.”
Loki placed a colorful, well-balanced plate in front of his brother. A seasoned salmon filet, mixed vegetables, and crispy potato wedges sprinkled with herbs. Adjusting to life without servants preparing meals had been a bit of a struggle, but you had taught him well.
“Thank you, brother.” Thor grinned teasingly up at Loki.
“You’re very welcome,” He answered curtly. “Though I advise you not to expect this treatment in the future. I am only doing this to ease my wife’s burdens.”
Thor chuckled in response and began to eat. “So,” He said in between chewing. “Why have you summoned me, sister?”
You opened your mouth to speak, but were cut off by a sharp kick, which caused you to gasp. Your daughter, startled awake by the voices around her, was seemingly expressing her frustration the only way she knew how. You winced and rubbed your stomach, trying to appease her.
Loki noticed. He always noticed. He reached down and pressed his palm to your side, a warm light emanating from his hand. A tingling sensation spread like carbonated bubbles through your torso. You exhaled slowly as the pain dissolved. Your daughter stretched, then settled. Like balm to a wound.
“Thank you.” You whispered and gave his arm a grateful squeeze. You steeled yourself and returned your attention to your brother-in-law, who had nearly cleared his plate at this point.
“Could you please summon a storm for me?”
“Of course, but…”—He paused to swallow a bite—“Whatever for?”
“It’s an old wives’ tale,” You began. “Some people believe that the drop in barometric pressure during a storm… can… induce…” You gestured vaguely, hoping Thor would catch on. Unfortunately, he only stared at you, his brow furrowed in confusion.
“Induce… what?”
Your face fell.
“Labor, brother.” Loki sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose in exasperation.
“Ah!” Thor broke into a wide, delighted smile as understanding dawned. “You wish to evict the child!”
“Something like that, yes,” You laughed, despite yourself. “I don’t need a hurricane. Just a few hours of rain and thunder. Worst case scenario, the baby resists and my hydrangeas get the water they desperately need.”
Thor laughed, his booming voice shooting up to the weathered ceiling beams. Your daughter jumped inside you.
“The child will be in your arms by this time tomorrow. You have my word.” He vowed, his eyes sparkling with determination.
“I’ll hold you to it.” You gave him a watery, cautiously optimistic smile—but optimistic nonetheless.
Shortly after Thor left, the storm began. It started with a light patter of rain against the roof and windows, which quickly turned into a downpour. Eventually, the thunder began its slow descent over the hills, echoing through the peaks and valleys.
“I should warn you,” Loki drawled as you both climbed into bed. “If this plan of yours works, my brother may request to have the child named after him.”
“If it works, I just might grant that request.” You huffed as he pulled the quilted blanket over your shoulders.
He chucked and leaned in for a kiss, which you happily returned.
“This may be our last night as a duo.” He said softly, running his fingertips along your arm. Your eyelids began to droop with bone-deep exhaustion.
“Here’s to hoping.” You murmured, your vision dimming like a flickering candle.
He pulled you close, the swell of your bump pressed carefully against his midsection, as rain poured down the window in a rippling current.
In the deep hours of the night, you jolted awake to a rolling sensation that crested at the highest point of your belly and tightened in your pelvis.
You reached over and shook Loki awake. He was instantly alert, his hand flying to your stomach, protective magic sparking from his fingertips.
“It worked. It’s starting.” You whispered breathlessly in the dark.

As a person who reads fanfiction you are not going to catch me complaining about what it is that people are writing. I am an AVID consumer of ‘x reader’ fanfiction and l hate to see people complain about “too much smut” or “messy writing” you guys have NO RIGHT to complain about the things that people write as a HOBBY for FUN. It infuriates me to see so many people shit on authors who write smut. I’ve seen so many authors say that it’s the only way to get people to interact with what they write. Or they could just LIKE writing smut. There are so many phenomenal writers on this app who could give you exactly what you’re looking for. You guys have become too prideful. A lot of you will say “ Well I’m the consumer so l have a right to criticize what I’m consuming.” or “Well l can say something because where would they be without me?” You guys have to check yourselves. Unless an author specifies that they are open to criticism do NOT give it. It is rude and uncalled for when people work so hard. It’s the same as someone showing you their art and the first thing you say is “the lines are too crooked”. Enjoy or scroll. Don’t be an asshole.

Perhaps this could be his ticket for gaining a throne after all! He just needs to convince you to marry him and forgive his constant years of teasing and torment.
Rating: R (Dark Elements!)

Theme Song: ALWAYS BEEN YOU by Chris Grey
Loki shot her a look that dared you to think he would forget that little comment before he turned on his heel, arms spread with an even wider grin.
‘’Mother! How does the day fair for you today?” he greeted, seeming to have a completely different personality than what you had just seen before. Surely his mother could see right through him.. Right?
‘’I am well, i’ve been summoned to fetch you for one of our treaty signings.’’ Frigga’s hands met Loki’s outstretched ones, the two greeting each other with the perfect mother and son relationship.
‘’As in, you’ve volunteered to seek me out yourself rather than have a servant do it?” Loki chuckled, knowing his mother never minded to venture through the palace herself, thinking the servants are merely two busy with their own workload to add some more.
She’s not wrong..
‘’Well i was heading this way anyway, i had a small hunch you’d be around the gardens.’’ she jested, the witch seeming to know exactly where he was no matter what his preferred settings were and Loki chuckled casually, reaching back behind him without looking to successfully find your arm, yanking you to stand his side.
‘’I have merely been busy complimenting our dearest maid we have in the palace,’’ he gestured to you with a hand that merely had you flinching , nearly hitting the tip of your nose. ‘’She’s quite skilled with her hands.’’
Somehow you picked up on the innuendo as casually as he had said it, making your cheeks redden but others may have just taken it as shyness by the compliments. ‘’Trying my best, All Mother.’’ you offered her a bow and she clasped her hands together, looking at you fondly.
‘’And that's all we could ask of you, dear one. You’ve always been such a hard worker, we are happy to have you.’’
Frigga has always been kind to everyone around her, a gene Loki must not have rubbed off on while he continued to smile innocently at his mother and turned to look you over briefly.
‘’Indeed mother, in fact, my chambermaid has fallen ill and has been scouting to find a replacement very soon. I think she’d do well on my wing of the palace.’’
His words nearly had your stomach drop while he basically hinted at a promotion. Most would be highly honored for the task, however for you, that would mean you’d be tending to him quite personally rather than the whole palace.
Hel no..
You laughed it off and rubbed the back of your neck. ‘’It be quite a change, one i’d truly have to think over,’’
‘’My dear Y/N, you'd be in quite good hands on that side of the palace. Your work ethic is highly cherished and would provide tremendous results for my son,’’ Frigga smiled, even offering a gentle hand onto your shoulder where you hoped she didn't feel your sweat.
‘’I would be looking forward to it, perhaps a trial run would be adequate to ensure that you would indeed enjoy your transfer?” Loki suggested with that innocent smile shooting towards you and you nearly flinched with how piercing his eyes were in search of your soul.
‘’U-um.. I don’t think-’’
‘’What a splendid idea! A trial run, perhaps we could discuss it over this evening’s feast my son, we’d need to ensure that we have no lessened numbers amongst the palace to make it possible,’’ Frigga suggested, already moving to Loki’s side and taking hold of his arm to ensure he walks with her- to your relief.
‘’Well Y/N is rather quick in work, i’m sure any extra labor we have floating about would be entrusted in her capable hands until we ensure the palace numbers.’’ Loki smiled happily and glanced at you over his shoulder with a strained expression, waiting for his mother’s handmaids to pass by your stiff form.
‘’Resume your chores Y/N, we shall be conversing very soon.’’ he smirked before his free hand waved at his side, just behind his cape where it sent almost a mysterious force that knocked you back, making it seem that you tripped over your feet.
The force knocked you back to land into the trough, just enough water to splash up over your head before pooling at your waist. You yelped, shock all over your features while you scrambled to get out.
Loki was already walking away with his mother, guiding her himself to ensure she wouldn't turn around to witness his latest mischief but something in the air seemed to catch his attention, something that stilled his features and looked upon you with analyzed curiosity rather than amusement.
Your fingers gripped the edges, yanking you out and onto unstable legs before your body took a pause, noticing how he was watching you and something told you it wasn't because your dress now clung to your body. No.. his eyes would have been roaming for that. His chin tipped upwards ever so slightly. Chest puffing out to indicate he was taking deep inhales and panic seemed to wash over.
If he smelled you.. How the water seemed to douse away your perfume that masked the scent of your true species.. It would mean trouble for you-
Picking up your wet skirts, you bowed quickly to excuse yourself. ‘’My apologies for my clumsiness, I'll get things done right away-’’ you said quickly before running off to change, dry and apply more of your floral scent.
All while Loki watched you over his shoulder, narrowing his eyes in suspicion while he half listened to his mother’s conversation.
~
“He does not favor me Delilah, he wants to see me suffer for some reason and i’m telling you- this is downright abuse!” You groan, your chopping becoming dangerously fast before her hand rests on yours, causing you to calm down before you cut off a finger.
‘’What the prince does.. The queen can't necessarily stop.. We’re servants, here to serve in any way we can.. Even if they require.. You know’’ she trailed off and looked uncomfortable, picking up the slices of apple you just prepared and placed them in a bowl- hoping to distract the bile from coming up.
‘’Surely they don't actually.. You know?” you questioned and looked at your friend with a hushed tone. ‘’At least those are willing, yes, but.. They’d actually-’’
‘’Look, some might be willing, but you’ve seen how they cry when they return.. You might say stop mid.. Event, but it doesn't mean they’ll listen..’’ Delilah shook her head and handed you more apples, urging you to keep working while the others scurried about the kitchen behind you both to prepare other things.
‘’There are far worse things than Loki’s cruelties and his favoritism in that regard should not be taken lightly..’’
‘’So.. What am I supposed to do? If they want to move me to that wing, i have no say in the matter.’’ you sigh heavily, not at all wanting Loki to touch you again. What if it went far beyond what he did this afternoon?
Delilah was silent a moment, thinking deeply while she began to slowly mix a few things in a bowl. With the way she then bit her lip, you knew her long enough to know she wanted to say something without wanting to say it.
‘’..what is it?”
She looked at you with hesitance, taking a breath before shaking her head. ‘’What if you.. I don’t know.. were bad at your job- on purpose- to prevent them from moving you over?”
You raised a brow at your friend and paused what you were doing. It would risk getting punished for possible mishaps and slowness, but surely the punishment for it wouldn't be half as bad from your supervisors compared to what Loki might do if you were to mess up on his side of things. What's a few lashes from another than the predictions of what the prince could do?
‘’I’ll.. Think about it..’’ you said quietly, shaking your head to snap out of your thoughts before nodding towards the bowl in Delilah’s hand. ‘’I’ll finish that, you go ahead and finish the table. Frigga asked for gold, not silver this time with the utensils.’’
‘’Right, i’ll see you in there.’’ she nodded, giving you a reassuring hand that squeezed your shoulder before she left.
Biting your bottom lip, you glanced over your shoulder to make sure everyone was busy before a shaky hand picked up the cup of salt- instead of sugar- and poured about a cup and a half into the mixture.
Gods you were signing your soul away tonight..
~
For the life of you, you kept your eyes on the ground, periodically just glancing up to see who was requesting a refill before they’d snap back down.
Your stomach was twisting and regret ran through your veins.
The fuck did you just do??
Salt instead of sugar.. In the very pastries that sat on the table. Guests and royals came trickling in the doors, spreading about and indulging in drink and feast. On some occasion, you saw a few pick a pastry and place it on their plate while they walked by. So far, no complaints as yet because it was an item usually reserved for last compared to the other choices people had picked from.
But it would soon happen..
Would you be thrown out? No, publicly whipped would be most likely, even if you’ve never seen it done before. Most heinous crimes were usually taken care of behind closed doors, and stories kept to themselves with only the fear of warning for your skills to not slip up.
But you did. Purposefully.
Why? You were willing to bet Loki would not want a useless slave, considering he chastised your abilities already- even if he’s the one normally messing things up. If punishment would be involved tonight, you’d at least pray he’d be the one to eat a pastry. Choke on it too.
The All Father and Mother had long since arrived, aiming to arrive before most guests and were wrapping up their speeches of gratitude that most of the guests have already heard before. Feasts tended to happen every night, and it wasn't too long after before everyone began toasting, cheering and the music competed to be heard above them.
By the sound of the heavy doors swinging open, it indicated that Loki had walked in without waiting for the guards to open up the doors first. He often used a hand to push both from the middle and simultaneously have them hit their walls as if he was making a dramatic entrance, and yet, he strode in casually as if he hardly cared the stares he pulled.
Somehow, his gaze fell upon you from an impossible distance across the room and your eyes instantly ducked to the floor while you scurried about in search of empty cups. The pitcher shook in your hand, almost as if at any moment, you’d feel that hardness pressing up against your backside and hands seductively caressing your hips. Your cheeks reddened, and a drink sounded good right about now as the aroma overwhelmed your senses to where you needed to hold it a bit at your side.
‘’Brother! How it’s been too long! Come, come sit- let us exchange tales of our adventures since my absence!” Thor’s recognizable voice filled the room while his words slurred ever so slightly.
Loki would no doubt make his way over to the chair beside him- whether he wanted to or not- and sit amongst the other royals where it would give you a good break to settle in his presence.
Now and again a cup would be lifted and you’d hurry over to refill it, pouring the wine carefully and watching your step from the broken glass every now and again from a cup that would be smashed (purposefully) on the floor.
“ANOTHER!” everyone would cheer and you couldn't help but smile a little. You almost missed the merriment amongst crowds, everyone laughing and enjoying themselves- all while you exchanged that life to dodge a man who would make your life a living Hel with a crown on. The irony in it was, a man here with a crown on already made your life a living Hel.
‘’Another glass! The Midgardian booze does not fare as fine as home’s,’’ Thor called over and you almost cringed, knowing you would have to make your way over before Delilah- with her own vase, caught your attention and subtly shook her head, volunteering herself to go over.
As she walked over, you relaxed a little before your eyes landed on Loki’s, the mischief dancing in them matched his growing smirk and you hesitated as if he were silently talking to you. Before you could decide to ignore him and work at the other side of the room, you noticed his hand raise and flick- that recognizable motion that indicated he was using magic before you heard a clattering sound not too far away.
Your eyes widened and looked across from you to see Delilah on the ground- having tripped with her vase shattered in front of her.
‘’Norns-’’ you cursed and rushed over, taking hold of her arm and helping her up. ‘’Are you alright??”
‘’Yes- yes, i’m fine, just.. Tripped over something..’’ she mumbled and brushed her wine soaked dress off with redder cheeks from embarrassment.
‘’Go and change, i'll take care of this-’’ you offered, feeling the gaze of drunk men beginning to eye your friend who’s dress now began clinging to her body so she immediately nodded and rushed off.
Another servant who had been carrying a now empty tray, paused and noticed the spill, waving you off while he pulled a towel from his belt. ‘’I got this, continue on the refills-’’ he whispered and you nodded, half turning before you paused, realizing what had happened.
Your eyes immediately found Loki’s awaiting ones, hardly containing your glare while you white knuckled the pitcher and began walking over to Thor beside him.
‘’My apologies for the delay, my prince.’’ you bowed shortly to Thor before filling up his glass.
Thor paid you no mind but with a nod of acceptance before turning his attention back to the table to continue his stories loudly. Taking in a breath, you turned quickly to depart before the sound of Loki clearing his throat caught your attention and you regretted pretending not to hear him as you turned around.
‘’Another refill darling.’’ he smirked, emphasizing the pet name as if it were a curse word while dangling the empty chalese in the air.
Drawing in a breath, you straighten your posture before going over, finding it best not to say anything and get this over with as soon as possible before he holds the cup away before you could pour.
‘’I have a request love.’’
You furrowed your brows, curiosity not in your features but of dread. All the same, you gave a simple bow and prayed to the gods for mercy. ‘’How may I assist you, my prince?”
Loki smirked, his eyes looking you over with a mix of seduction and much of it being contemplation, as if to say ‘what am i going to do with you.’ you gulped, thoughts of punishment coming to mind from when you called him a ‘pig’ earlier, where most of you hardly regretted it but.. He wouldn't do something against you in public, right?
‘’I wish for you to partake with me.’’
His words were of a gentle asking, almost as if he actually was asking, when a royal normally didn't. They left no choice, and the thought of sharing a drink with Loki, made your chest tight and your brows raise.
‘’You.. wish for me to join you?” you asked slowly, hesitant while you clarified and you began to take a step back if his hand didn't shoot out and rest right behind your lower thigh.
‘’Quite right darling, there is much to congratulate and i’d very much like you to celebrate, at least this once-’’ he then pulled you forward, you hand shooting out to catch anything to prevent your fall while the other hand held on to the vase before Loki’s other hand reached to assist you. Somehow, in one smooth motion, he spun you around to where your fall made you sit right onto his lap.
Your body instantly tensed and cheeks reddened, going to take your leave before Loki’s hand came to your thigh and firmly holding you in place.
‘’Come now darling, don’t be shy. There's no shame in taking some credit,’’ he smirked, leaning forward for his free hand to take hold of the cup again, his chest pressing into your side upon doing so while you heard him inhale against your hair.
You began stiff, moving both hands to grip the vase that shook in your grip before he held the cup around you for access, using his other hand to take hold of yours and grip your fingers that held the vase to guide your hands. It almost looked like a hug, Loki’s arms engulfing you while he helped you pour the wine generously into the glass.
His touch was soft, gentle and controlled. His flesh is not a common warmth but enough to feel it linger when he released your hand and left your strength to hold onto the vase by yourself.
‘’W-what are we celebrating your highness?” you asked, feeling his chest linger against your side while his hand reached up and brushed your hair to the opposite side over your shoulder.
You damn near flinched from his touch, his fingertips ghosting against the skin of your neck before his breath could be felt warmly fanning against it.
‘’Consider this dinner the last of your servant’s duties before you are promoted tonight to be.. Mine..’’ he whispered, causing you to shiver and turn your face to look at him wide eyed.
‘’I said i needed time to think about-’’
‘’Dear Y/N, have you not realized that within your position, you are given no real choice? If a royal wished for you to be transferred, it’s as simple as snapping our fingers.’’ he smirked, drinking up your sputtering reaction while he nodded towards the glass he was bringing closer. ‘’I’m sure you’ll find yourself quite enjoying my personal attention.’’
‘’But I can't be transferring, I have friends that- mmph!” Loki silenced you by pressing the gauntlet to your lips, tipping it continuously while you were forced to drink down the warm beverage until he found it suitable to stop.
‘’I’m the only friend you’ll need Y/N, and I promise you, they’ll hardly realize your gone.’’ Loki smirked, his voice growing husky as he watched how your neck tilted back to try to keep up with his pouring, even going so much as grasping at his wrist with your free hand while he leaned in with a hum, inhaling your scent.
‘’Besides, there’s something you’re not telling me, and I will soon find out what exactly it is.’’ he murmured before you felt the trail of his tongue run up from your neck, to your ear.
pairing : jack o'connell x reader
summary : you and jack had recently confirmed your relationship and you were invited by ladbible to do the couple edition of snack wars.
a/n : i was inspired by jack's snack wars video on youtube - had to create my own version now -ALSO THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I CREATED AND USED MY OWN GIF- so there's that, and look at how cute he is here oh my god
The studio lights flickered on as you settled into your seat beside Jack.
Almost immediately, he reached over and stole one of the snacks that had been placed in front of you.,"Oi."
"What?"
"Those aren't yours."
Jack looked down at the packet in his hand, "They are now."
The producer hadn't even started filming yet and already the crew was laughing.
You crossed your arms, "This is why people from New York don't trust British people."
"That's rich coming from a country that invented spray cheese."
"That's innovation."
"That's a crime."
The cameras started rolling.
"Hi, I'm Jack O'Connell."
"And I'm Y/N."
"And today we're doing Snack Wars."
The producer coughed loudly from behind the camera.
"And apparently we're dating," Jack added. Jack glanced at you. You immediately felt yourself smiling. The crew gave a collective "awww."
The first snacks were placed in front of you.
A packet of Walkers Cheese & Onion Crisps for Jack.
A bag of Lay's Classic Potato Chips for you.
Jack immediately grabbed his, "This is an elite crisp."
"Elite?"
"Elite."
You picked one up, "You're setting expectations very high."
"Because they're very good."
You took a bite. Chewed.
Chewed again. Then slowly looked at him. Jack was already grinning.
"What?"
"Nothing."
"You hate it."
"I don't hate it."
"You hate it."
"It tastes like an onion got promoted above its qualifications."
The crew exploded with laughter. Jack looked personally offended, "That is one of Britain's finest snacks."
"You have tea and David Beckham. Why are these one of your finest snacks?"
"You don't understand sophistication."
"You don't understand seasoning."
Jack put a hand over his heart, "That's hurtful."
"Good."
Then it was his turn. He grabbed a handful of Lay's chips.
Took a bite. And another. Then another.
You raised an eyebrow, "oh?"
Jack swallowed and gulped down hard, "they're alright."
"They're alright?"
"Yeah."
"You've eaten six."
"I was gathering evidence."
"You were enjoying them."
"No."
"You're literally reaching for another one."
His hand immediately froze halfway to the packet. The crew howled.
"Move on," he muttered.
The next round brought out chocolate.
A Cadbury Dairy Milk bar.
A Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.
Jack picked up the Reese's like it was potentially dangerous, "What is America's obsession with peanut butter?"
"Because it's delicious."
"It's in sweets."
"Yes."
"It's in sandwiches."
"Yes."
"It's in cookies."
"Yes."
Jack stared at you, "you people need boundaries."
You laughed and nudged at him to eat one now, "Just eat it."
Reluctantly, he took a bite. You watched his expression carefully. The second the peanut butter hit, his eyebrows jumped.
"There it is."
"There what is?"
"The face."
"There was no face."
"There absolutely was."
"There wasn't."
"You looked like you just discovered religion."
The crew practically doubled over laughing. Jack pointed at them.
"None of you are helping."
Yet despite all his complaining, he took another bite. Then another.
Then suddenly the peanut butter cup was gone.
You folded your arms, "So?"
"So what?"
"You liked it."
"It was alright."
"Jack."
"It was fine."
"Jack."
A smile finally appeared and winked at you, "Okay. It's good."
You threw your hands into the air, "YES!"
The crew started clapping.
"This is humiliating."
"You've betrayed your country."
"Don't tell Britain."
The candy round arrived next.
Wine Gums versus Sour Patch Kids.
You tried the Wine Gums first. The chewing seemed to go on forever. Jack was trying not to laugh.
"Well?"
You were still chewing. The crew was laughing before you could even answer. Finally you swallowed, "Why does it require cardio?"
Jack immediately lost it, "What does that mean?"
"My jaw is exhausted."
"They're sweets."
"They're exercise equipment."
Then he tried a Sour Patch Kid. The sour coating hit instantly. His entire face scrunched up. His eyes squeezed shut. His shoulders tensed.
You nearly fell out of your chair laughing and clutching at your stomach, "Oh my God."
Jack grabbed his water, "Why would anybody choose this experience?"
"Because it's fun."
"It's an attack."
"It's candy."
"It's warfare."
The producer pointed at the logo behind you "That's literally the name of the show."
Everyone laughed.
By the final round, things had become significantly less competitive.
A Jaffa Cake sat beside a Twinkie.
You picked up the Jaffa Cake. One bite Your eyes widened.
"Oh."
Jack sat up straighter.
"Oh?"
"Wait."
"Oh?"
"This is actually incredible."
His grin grew wider with every second.
"Say it louder."
"No."
"Say it."
"No."
"Say Britain won something."
"Don't push it."
Jack looked directly into the camera, "History has been made."
You rolled your eyes. Then he tried the Twinkie. Immediately he looked confused.
Then concerned. Then confused again.
"Why does it feel immortal?"
"It isn't immortal."
"I genuinely think this could survive a nuclear event."
The crew started laughing.
Jack examined it closely, "If civilisation collapses, the Twinkie will remain."
"You're being dramatic."
"I'm being accurate."
Eventually the producer stepped in, "Alright, guys. Final verdict."
You looked at Jack. Jack looked at you.
"America wins."
"The UK wins."
You spoke at the exact same time. The producer sighed.
"Helpful."
Then you noticed the final Jaffa Cake sitting between you.
"So..."
Jack followed your gaze.
"So."
You both reached for it.
At exactly the same moment.
"Mine."
"No."
"I saw it first."
"I touched it first."
"I've got longer arms."
"That's not a rule."
"It should be."
The two of you were still arguing when Jack suddenly took a huge bite.
You stared at him.
The crew erupted.
"YOU CHEATED!"
Jack was already laughing.
His victory lasted approximately three seconds.
The producer immediately pointed at you.
"Winner: Y/N."
"What?!"
"Cheaters never win."
Jack dropped his head back dramatically.
"This show is rigged."
You were laughing so hard your stomach hurt. He looked over at you, shaking his head.
"You're enjoying this far too much."
"Because I won."
"No."
A smile tugged at the corner of his mouth, "Because you're cute when you're being annoying."
For the first time all day, you were the one caught off guard.
The crew immediately started screaming. Jack instantly regretted saying it.
"Oh, brilliant."
"You called me cute."
"I didn't."
"You literally just did."
"I said no such thing."
The producer pointed at the cameras, "We've got the footage."
Jack groaned and buried his face in his hands while everyone laughed.
And for the rest of the shoot, every time he tried to argue about snacks, all you had to do was smile and ask,
"Who's cute?"
Which somehow annoyed him even more than losing.
Neither of you thought much about the episode after filming wrapped.
You and Jack left the studio still arguing about whether Jaffa Cakes counted as cakes or biscuits.
"They're cakes."
"They're biscuits."
"They're literally called Jaffa Cakes."
"And guinea pigs have pig in the name. Doesn't make them pigs."
Jack stopped walking.
"That might be the worst argument I've ever heard."
"Yet you have no comeback."
"I have several."
"You've got none."
The debate continued all the way to the car and by the time you got home, the episode was already edited and scheduled for release the following week.
Neither of you expected anything unusual.
You were very, very wrong.
A week later.
You were sitting on the sofa scrolling through your phone when a text from Jack appeared.
jackie baby boo :
Have you looked at YouTube?
you:
No? Why?
Three dots appeared.
Then disappeared. Then appeared again.
jackie baby boo:
Maybe look.
Immediately suspicious, you opened YouTube. The first thing you saw was the thumbnail.
You and Jack pointing at each other across the Snack Wars table. Both laughing.
The title:
JACK O'CONNELL VS HIS AMERICAN GIRLFRIEND | SNACK WARS UK VS US
You clicked and saw that it already has over a million views. Your jaw dropped.
"What the hell?"
A second later your phone rang. Jack.
You answered immediately, "One million views?"
"One point three."
"What?"
"It was one million ten minutes ago."
You refreshed. Jack wasn't joking, "How?"
"No idea."
"Jack."
"What?"
"This is ridiculous."
"I know."
You could hear him laughing.
Then another notification appeared.
And another.
And another.
Your Instagram was exploding. TikTok edits. Fan accounts. Reaction videos. People clipping random moments from the episode.
You opened X. Immediately regretted it.
Because "Jack O'Connell" was trending. And somehow...
So was your name. You stared. Then refreshed, still there.
Number three worldwide, "What is happening?"
"No clue."
"Jack."
"What?"
"They've made edits."
Silence.
"What kind of edits?"
"The kind with slow motion."
Jack groaned.
"Oh no."
You opened one.
It was literally a thirty-second montage of the two of you arguing over crisps. Dramatic music. Close-ups. Slow motion.
You laughed so hard you nearly dropped your phone.
"Oh my God."
"What?"
"They edited the Reese's scene."
"No."
"Yes."
"Please tell me they didn't."
"They zoomed in on your face."
Jack immediately started swearing, you were laughing too hard to speak, "They put romantic music over it."
"Oh, brilliant."
"The comments are even worse."
"I don't want to know."
One comment had over fifty thousand likes.
'The way he immediately grabbed a second Reese's after pretending he hated it is exactly how he looks at her.'
You burst out laughing again.
Jack groaned loudly.
"People need hobbies."
"There's more."
"No."
"There's absolutely more."
You kept scrolling.
Someone had made an entire compilation called:
Jack O'Connell Being Down Bad For His Girlfriend For 12 Minutes Straight
Jack made a strangled noise.
"TWELVE MINUTES?"
"Apparently."
"The video was twenty minutes long!"
"That's not helping your case."
—
The situation only got worse over week as the episode hit the YouTube trending page. Then number one, clips started spreading everywhere.
Even people who had never watched Snack Wars were suddenly discussing it. Every interview clip, joke, glance, and smile.
Nothing escaped the internet.
When you finally met Jack for dinner that evening, he looked exhausted.
"You've seen it all?"
"I've seen enough."
You sat down across from him, "They think you're obsessed with me."
Jack nearly choked on his drink, "Straight to the point."
"I'm serious."
He rubbed a hand over his face, "I know."
You grinned.
"They're kind of right."
"They are not."
"You crossed the table to steal snacks from my plate."
"That's not evidence."
"You remembered my favourite candy."
"Not evidence."
"You kept looking at me."
"Definitely not evidence."
You were practically glowing now.
Jack immediately recognised the expression.
"Oh no."
"Oh yes."
"What are you doing?"
You pulled out your phone.
"No."
"I'm making a list."
"No, you're not."
"Reasons Jack O'Connell Is Obsessed With Me."
"Delete it."
"Reason number one—"
"Delete it."
"Reason number one, voluntarily ate American snacks for love."
Jack looked genuinely offended.
"I did not do it for love."
"Reason number two—"
"Stop writing."
"Reason number two, called me cute on camera."
The smile he tried to hide gave him away immediately.
You pointed.
"There."
"What?"
"That smile."
"There is no smile."
"That's the same face you made eating Reese's."
Jack groaned.
"You'll never let that go, will you?"
"No."
His head shook.
But then he reached across the table and took your hand anyway.
The teasing stopped for a moment.
The noise of the restaurant faded into the background.
And despite all the millions of views, trending topics, edits, and headlines, the look he gave you then was softer than anything the cameras had captured.
"At least they liked the episode."
You squeezed his hand.
"They loved it."
A small smile appeared.
"Yeah."
Then he glanced at your phone.
"Are you still making that list?"
You immediately looked down.
"Reason number three—"
Jack groaned so loudly that half the restaurant turned to look.
And you laughed all over again.
One year later.
The original Snack Wars episode had somehow become one of the most popular celebrity editions LADbible had ever uploaded.
Clips still resurfaced online, people still quoted the Jaffa Cake argument.
You still got tagged in edits titled things like:
"Jack O'Connell Looking At His Girlfriend Like She's The Last Jaffa Cake On Earth."
And every single time, Jack threatened to delete the internet.
Which was why neither of you were surprised when LADbible called again. What did surprise you was the email subject line.
SNACK WARS PART 2?
You immediately forwarded it to Jack. Three minutes later your phone rang.
"Tell me you've seen this."
"I'm looking at it right now."
"And?"
"And I think they're trying to ruin my life."
You laughed.
"They literally wrote that the audience demanded a rematch."
"They're using us for content."
"We are content."
There was silence.
"Dreadful sentence."
—
Days later, you found yourselves back in the exact same studio.
The second you walked through the doors, the crew started cheering.
"Oh no," Jack muttered.
One of the producers pointed at him.
"We're not letting you cheat this time."
"I cheated once."
"You stole the final Jaffa Cake."
"I was hungry."
"You were losing."
"Allegedly."
The producer turned to you.
"Still keeping that list?"
Jack immediately looked horrified.
"What list?"
You grinned.
"The reasons you're obsessed with me."
The entire crew erupted.
Jack closed his eyes.
"Can we start filming?"
"No," the producer said. "This is already excellent."
—
Once the cameras started rolling, things became even worse.
"Hi, I'm Jack O'Connell."
"And I'm Y/N."
"And apparently we're back."
"Because people enjoyed watching us argue."
"Which is concerning."
The producer appeared off-camera, "Before we begin, we'd like to remind everyone that last year's episode currently has over thirty million views."
Jack dropped his head into his hands,"Oh for God's sake."
You laughed.
"What can I say? The people love me."
"They tolerate you."
"They definitely love me."
"They absolutely do not."
The producer interrupted.
"They're mostly here for the relationship."
Jack pointed at the producer.
"See? That's exactly the problem."
—
Round One.
American: Flamin' Hot Cheetos
British: McCoy's Flame Grilled Steak Crisps
You immediately picked up a Cheeto, "This is THE American culture."
"That sentence alone should get your passport revoked." You ignored him.
The second Jack tried one, his confidence disappeared, his ears turning red, "Oh."
You grinned.
"Oh?"
"Oh."
"Too spicy?"
"No."
"Too spicy?"
"No." , then his eyes started watering.
The crew immediately zoomed in.
"Jack."
"I'm fine."
"Your eyes are crying."
"They are not."
The camera zoomed even closer.
He looked directly into the lens.
"Turn that off."
The crew was laughing too hard to respond.
—
Round Two.
American: Pop-Tarts
British: Custard Creams
Jack looked delighted.
Finally.
A British snack he was confident about.
"You've got no chance."
"That's a bold statement."
"It isn't."
He handed you a Custard Cream.
You took a bite. Then another.
Then another.
Jack's smile slowly disappeared.
"No."
You nodded.
"Oh these are dangerous."
"No."
"Oh these are GOOD."
"No."
The producer immediately marked something down.
Jack looked betrayed.
"You're supposed to support America."
"I support good food."
"Traitor."
"You're literally dating an American."
"Different situation."
—
Round Three.
American: Lucky Charms
British: Chocolate Digestives
The second Jack saw the cereal, he looked suspicious, "What are the colourful bits?"
"Magic."
"Not a real answer."
"Magic."
After tasting it, he looked genuinely confused.
"It tastes like dessert."
"Exactly."
"For breakfast?"
"Exactly."
"You lot cannot be trusted."
Meanwhile, you tried a Chocolate Digestive.
Your eyes widened.
Jack noticed immediately.
"Oh no."
"What?"
"You've got the face."
"What face?"
"The face I made with Reese's."
The crew LOST IT.
You pointed accusingly.
"Don't bring Reese's into this."
"I'll never stop bringing Reese's into this."
—
Then came the surprise round.
The producer wheeled out two covered trays.
You looked at each other.
"What is that?"
The producer grinned.
"The internet requested this."
Neither of you liked that answer.
The covers were lifted.
One tray contained a full New York-style pepperoni pizza slice.
The other contained a plate of fish and chips.
The studio immediately erupted.
"OH NOW WE'RE TALKING."
Jack looked delighted.
"This is unfair."
"How?"
"Because fish and chips is basically your national treasure."
"It is."
"And pizza is New York's national treasure."
"Also true."
The producer shrugged, "Fight."
For the next twenty minutes, neither of you actually argued. You just passionately defended your respective foods. Jack insisted proper fish and chips was unbeatable. You argued New York pizza had changed civilisation.
At one point both of you were standing. Actually standing. Using pizza slices as visual aids.
The crew could barely breathe from laughing.
—
Then came the final round. The one everyone had been waiting for. The producer placed a single plate between you.
On it sat:
A Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.
And a Jaffa Cake.
The entire studio screamed. Jack immediately stood up, "No."
The producer nodded, "Yes."
"We're not doing this again."
"We absolutely are."
You were already laughing. The producer pointed, "One final choice. Which snack wins?"
The room went quiet. You looked at Jack. Jack looked at you. You looked at each other.
The crew waited.
After an entire year of arguments. Millions of views. Thousands of edits. Endless teasing.
Jack sighed dramatically. Then picked up the Reese's.
The entire room exploded. You nearly fell off your chair, "No way."
"Listen."
"You picked Reese's."
"I know."
"You PICKED REESE'S."
"I KNOW."
The crew was screaming. The producer was running victory laps around the studio.
Jack looked at the camera, "I want it officially noted that this decision does not represent Britain."
The producer pointed at you, "Winner."
You jumped out of your seat, "AMERICA!"
The crew cheered. Jack rolled his eyes. Then before you could continue celebrating, he grabbed your hand and pulled you back down into your chair.
"You've been unbearable for an entire year."
"And?"
"And now you're going to be worse."
You smiled sweetly.
"Oh, absolutely."
The look on his face made the entire studio erupt with laughter one last time.
Because everyone there knew exactly what was about to happen.
The second this episode went online...
The internet was going to lose its mind all over again.

Hiding for years as one of Asgard’s servants, the second prince of Asgard has taken interest in you being his primary target for his mischief and chaos; However, his behavior seemed to take a drastic turn when he has found out about your true identity. Perhaps this could be his ticket for gaining a throne after all! He just needs to convince you to marry him and forgive his constant years of teasing and torment.
Rating: R (Dark Elements!)

Theme Song: ALWAYS BEEN YOU by Chris Grey
Your hands flinched away from the rag as your scrubbing motion seemed to disagree against one of your hand’s soft spots. You supposed even after three years of this type of labor, you couldn't quite get rid of your signs of upbringing, being a royal and all..
Royal.
You huffed at the very thought of it and tried to push the very memories away from bombarding your focused duties. Although being a servant amongst Asgard’s palace wasn't necessarily a treat, it had to be way better than the fate that has been bestowed upon you as Princess.
Whoever thought of arranged marriages clearly had no respect for themselves.
In all honesty, you were surprised your parents hadn't found you. There was no doubt that they would have looked- you were their only heir after all and their only option for taking upon the throne if your father were to pass.. But of course you wouldn't have been taking it alone. One look at their chosen stud already began formulating your plan to escape.
Prince Del was the name- if you could even call that a name for a prince, let alone a future king. He was handsome, yes, but upon your first session in hopes to begin courting, you had already figured out the marriage would have been even less than tolerating. He was rude, selfish, a know-it all- and a womanizer. Even as you sat before him in your finest dress, jewels and hair done- he had wandering eyes for any female that passed- servants and all.
That was years ago.. Three to be exact and you’d rather scrub this floor everyday than live a lifetime being married to one who would bring your realm to shame while there being nothing you could do about it. At least with you gone, your home would be safe and continuously ruled by your father- the only one capable of doing a proper job of things and although he’s trained you well to do the same in his footsteps..
There was no way in Hel you’d do it being married to an idiot.
Was it selfish? Leaving your home and its responsibilities just because you didn't want to be saddled to an oaf? No.. by leaving, you were keeping your home safe.. And you were sure your parents would figure out something before their time would come.. You were willing to bet they were still searching for you, not willing to take on anyone else in your place- preserving the royal line- but it was strange for there being no signs of them showing up here or news..
After year two, you stopped being paranoid that you’d be snatched from here and gradually accepted the fact that you were now Asgardian. Well.. not exactly. Your species passed off as one, but your perfume had to mask your scent so they wouldn't detect that you were of another species. They were animalistic like that..
Shaking your head, you began scrubbing much harder and faster in hopes to distract yourself from the imposing memories.. Though the gods could be very cruel when they got involved and sent you in that moment the one distraction you didn't want.
His slow footsteps became recognizable without you having to so much as turn around anymore while those eyes felt like they were burning holes in the back of your head- roaming lustfully over the rest of you after because.. Well- he could.
Loki.
His pace indicated one not wanting to be bothered yet still held the grace of a royal. Second prince of Asgard, to be exact, who’s cape flowed behind him and the horned crowd framed his brow as it indicated a position of power.
Power.. Power wasn't enough.. He needed a throne, and he was running out of time.
Thor was currently gone on mission, granting him time to think of how to keep him gone while also figuring out how to gain the first position in line for the throne.
Options were thin at the moment..
What normally would ease his mind was teasing his favorite little servant, where you stayed diligent in your work and seemed to work harder than those having been here far longer. That is, unless he was distracting you from your duties for his sere amusement but thus far with the troubles he’s been dealing with in his dilemma, his antics have gotten a bit crueler.
He couldn't bring himself to pity you though, not even as you flinched your hand away again and held it to your chest with undoubtedly another cut. He paid it no thought, but found it strange how you hadn't gotten a complete handle on going about things without some type of injury- as subtle as you tried to make it seem but.. After all these years of repetitive work, it was almost as if you weren't built completely for this job.
Yet here you remained and here you would stay. After all, it only fed more reason to bother you while he seemed to mock pout where he stood behind.
‘’And here I'd expect these tiles to be clean by now. Come now Y/N, is it still that difficult to get a knack for things within the generous time you’ve been given here?”
You held back an exhale of frustrations while you sat on your heels, not necessarily wanting to continue being on your hands and knees when the prince was standing quite close behind you. You had no idea why he had felt the need to take his frustrations out on you all this time- let alone making you a target to rid of his boredom. Not that you’d wish anyone any hardships but you hardly found him bothering the others. Why you?
‘’My apologies my prince,’’ you started, turning to look at him over your shoulder but the dirt he tracked in from his boots- leaving a hard to miss trail behind him made your response change to something with hidden bitterness. ‘’The floor just keeps getting dirty.’’
Loki rolled his eyes as if it were a dumb excuse, knowing fully well what had appeared behind him that you eyed painfully. ‘’See to it that it gets finished before the afternoon meal. I’d hate for you to have to tend to cleaning my boots because of your unreliable timing.’’ though, cleaning his boots didn't seem displeasing to him..
‘’I will have it finished.’’ you gave him a low bow, biting back many choice words while you unclench your fists from your dress- a habit you hardly noticed you did until the first sounds of fabric ripping. ‘’Will that be all?”
You left the question as a means to wrap this up, figuring a long time ago it was better to go along with his antics rather than give him the reaction he was searching for. He got off on it and quite frankly, you were in no position to speak back to him. Talking back to a royal, stepping out of line by any means, was punishable. If only he knew who you truly were, you would have loved getting up in his face and even tipping the bucket of water on those damn boots who were to blame. Instead, you stood still, expressionless and waiting for him to hopefully make his leave.
By watching you bow, Loki got a sense of gratification- knowing that no matter what he did, you’ll always be his perfect little play thing, obedient to his mischief until he finally broke you. Oftentimes he would get you there- nothing punishable severely, but enough to add on your already frustrated demeanor. It was almost as if.. Someone else was having a worse day, his ultimately seemed better.
‘’Make yourself more presentable. We have standards in the palace, and i will not have you looking like we just take anyone in off the streets.’’ he said sharply, tapping a finger on his cheek to indicate the dirt that had barely gotten onto your face while strolling past you, using his other hand close to his face to send a flicker of magic to tip over the bucket of water.
You yelped and instantly stood up, already feeling the water seep into your dress while trying to rub at your cheek with your sleeve. Your heart pounded, anger twisting in your chest while you tried to remain in control but you couldn't help but shoot the glare towards the sauntering prince who smirked at you over his shoulder.
‘’My apologies darling, it would seem my magic has been.. Misbehaving lately.’’ he dramatically sighed as if he couldn't help it before he continued off, leaving you to clean up his mess.
You muttered under your breath as you wiped your cheek as best you could, blindly before squeezing out the skirts of your dress. At this point, you’d have to start over to get his footprints but also the now dirty water that began spreading amongst the floor.
‘’If he can’t even treat his people right in the position he has now, then norns help us if he does become king..’’
~
‘’Here, let me help you with that- I've finished most of my chores early,’’ Delilah offered, scampering to catch up while you carried the empty bucket of water down the dirt path to fill it up at the water pump.
You couldn't help but smile yet shook your head in dismay. Delilah was another servant amongst the palace, and a dear friend who strived to take care of you against Loki’s wrath as you did to her- as less harsh as he was to the others.
‘’I appreciate it my friend but something tells me he’s got an eye out on this particular assignment so it’s safer i see it through to the end.’’
Delilah groaned and walked besides you anyway with the shake of her head. ‘’It’s not fair.. why is he so much crueler to you? Gods if only we could speak to All Mother-’’
‘’You know this is normal treatment from the royals, and Loki would just weasel his way from the truth to make it seem like his actions were merely a jest or something,’’ you shook your head, keeping your voice low while you looked at her seriously. ‘’Though I would heed what you say about the prince, we’re not too sure of his powers and I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if you were punished just by trying to reassure me.. He’s troubled but i think he just needs proper guidance..’’
Your eyes glanced over your shoulder towards the palace, exhaling deeply at the mere thought and shook off your own memories of what royal stresses could make you unintentionally do towards others. ‘’..Though it's probably hard to do when the All Father has two sons to take care of and the realms..’’
‘’You need not defend him Y/N, he already has his mother to do that,’’ Delilah teased with her voice low, pulling a smile out of you that nearly had you cover your mouth.
‘’Hush Delilah and let me work,’’ you giggled and finally set the bucket down upon reaching the water pump.
It was an older model, probably kept to keep the servants humble and working where you’d have to constantly pump the lever until water spilled out- filling the trough below. Then, you’d dunk the bucket into the trough and fill it up. It would be easy if there wasn't so much upper body strength involved- something you always had a hard time maintaining and wished you could ask your friend for help if the risks were not too high.
‘’By the way, you're going to have to pump the lever a little slower this time. Whoever used it last, must have done something to mess it up.’’ Delilah shook her head with the roll of her eyes. ‘’It was probably that foolish stable boy.’’
‘’Oh leave him alone, he’s new.’’ you laugh before moving over to the level, stretching your limbs before you would begin. ‘’See you at the evening festival?”
Delilah laughed and crossed her arms. ‘’You make it seem like we are there to enjoy ourselves rather than work.’’
‘’Perhaps one day,’’ you shrugged, offering empty hopes but the dreams are what helped the two of you keep a peaceful mind. It would be fun one day just to feast, drink and dance.
‘’Right.’’ Delilah laughed sarcastically before offering a goodbye wave and scurried off to head towards the kitchens.
Your demeanor slowly changed from cheerful, to determination while you wrung out your hands to prepare yourself for the bullshit you were forced to do because a certain someone decided to dump your bucket. Grasping the lever firmly, you raised it up- the height having your hands stop right at your chest, before you pushed it down with effort, bending down enough where you were generously leaning forward before you were quick to raise yourself back up.
Up and down, up and down, the slow work managed to be getting a few drops in while you seemed to sweat much faster. What helped you cope was mumbling to yourself with choice curses towards the prince of Asgard and how one day perhaps the gods will give him what was coming to him.
Just as you began to watch the promising, slow flow of the water begin to spill out, remaining in your bent position to catch your breath, the feeling of two slender hands could be felt ghosting right over your hips, threatening to grasp.
You jumped so hard you nearly rammed your abdomen with the lever and spun around, wide eyed and shocked while the prince himself stood standing before you, clearly amused of your reaction he dared to have caused.
He just touched you!?
‘’My my, what a particular position you’ve chosen for yourself darling, are you perhaps trying to persuade the men around here to help you with that?” he smirked, looking upon you like you were some scared virgin while you glanced at your progress dripping away to a stop.
‘’I need no help, i am fully capable of doing it myself.’’ you ground out, your hands clutching at your dress nervously while you could still practically feel his hands ghost against your hips.
‘’Then why are you stopping?” he mocked, hands clasped behind his back as if to prove he had done nothing wrong but stand there and stood there he shall, making no effort to move away from his current position where your backside would practically pressing up against him if you were to bend again.
‘’I’m making sure you aren't in need of assistance with your presence here,’’ you said carefully, red cheeked but trying not to glare at him while you subtly demanded what he wanted.
Loki looked over the trough as if he were inspecting it before looking over you from head to toe with the shake of his head and a smirk hidden behind his intentions. ‘’Nope, no assistance. Just enjoying the lovely.. Lovely.. Outdoors today. Carry on.’’ his voice grew seductive at his hints, making your cheeks redden much more while you hesitated where he stood.
He had been cruel to you before, but never before dared touch you. It wasn't uncommon, you’ve seen him at play with the others amongst the palace who were more than willing to go along with him- often crying after- but you had never been set in his sights to be laid a finger upon.
Until now..
Clearly he wasn't going to move, and there wasn't necessarily a better angle to get into to get this damn water that was already difficult to retrieve, so you straightened yourself, jaw tense and he could see every ounce of hatred radiating off of your body while you slowly moved back in front of him. You hated giving him the reaction that he was looking for, but what were you supposed to do? If you didn't react, he might think this behavior was okay. If you reacted with anything other than hatred- gods forbid he would think you were liking this.
Your hands wrapped around the lever with so much tightness, you were almost picturing it being his throat while you could hear the low chuckle from behind you. Drawing in a breath, you kept your eyes forward and pushed down the lever, your body following down before you’d snap yourself up as quickly as you could.
The worst part was, you couldn't hear him anymore- and you weren't going to look over your shoulder to check because all kinds of emotions were running through you right now. Your cheeks were a permanent shade of red by now and you knew you couldn't move too fast or the water would never come out- curse that stable boy.
After pumping for a solid thirty seconds, you finally felt those slender hands return to your hips, this time adding more pressure where there was no doubt he was there.
‘’Mm one would think that you are doing this on purpose..’’ Loki said seductively, almost sounding like he was right at your ear but all you felt was his hands on your hips. ‘’Are you trying to seduce the second prince of Asgard? Ensure your stay here? Earn some type of benefits hmm? Perhaps thinking you’re better than everyone else?”
Your hands clenched harder while you white knuckled the lever, pulling it up with such haste, it was almost startling. ‘’I’m trying to do no such thing-’’
‘’Are you a virgin Y/N? You get startled like one but something tells me you’ve got better skills elsewhere than what you’ve been hired to do..’’
He cut your rebuttal out of your mouth when those hands pulled you back but an inch before you felt something large, something hard pressed up right against your behind.
Heat ran all over your body before you wretched yourself out of his grip and whipped around to face him, hands- by the mercy- staying at your side to keep from punching him while your mouth ran free.
‘’Pig-!”
‘’Excuse m-!”
‘’Loki!” Frigga’s voice rang out where both of you simultaneously turned to watch as the All Mother came smiling with her handmaid’s at her heels. ‘’I’ve been looking everywhere for you!”
