Important OOC post!
Dear friends and followers,
This might sound strange, but I have decided to stop roleplaying with any other blog aside from @putyourbabyfangsaway. I just canât find find any inspiration to reply on any other thread than the ones I have with ââmyââ Eric, which makes me feel terrible. @putyourbabyfangsaway is pretty much the very reason I did keep on roleplaying after Hyves.nlâs ââshutdownââ, so for her I will stay active.
I hope you guys can forgive me and I hope to perhaps talk to you in the future again <3 This was a very hard decision for me.
Xoxo, madamedebeaufort
.... I still have these two accounts on here....
Mercutio nodded vehemently. âVal? Well, heâs about fifteen now.â Did he really need to count his fingers to come to that conclusion? Whatever, he was fairly certain he had it right because he knew how many years he differed from his younger sibling and he knew he always forgot ages and birthdays. He cats Tybalt a sidelong glance - how old was his nemesis by the way?
He shrugged the thought off. âHis hormones are working so giving him something slightly sensual will be lots of fun.â Mercutio reasoned with a sly smile. âAlso, Iâd love to see the look on his face when he opens the package. Heâll be so ashamed. Uncle will be so mad at me. Yes, really looking forward to it.â
He leant back in his chair and took another sip of the wine, then hummed softly. Of course he could ask Tybalt what heâd be doing for Christmas. He could ask him any of those nagging questions he usually carried on his mind whenever he was thinking of the strong and tall Capulet. But somehow something was holding him back and he didnât. Perhaps he was afraid that if he would talk, the Capulet would grow angry and theyâd be in a fight again while he was just enjoying his peace and quiet. His eyes closed on their own accord when the next slosh of wine went down his throat. His Adamâs apple bopping, darn this tasted good. It was slightly warm and the after-taste gave him a nice tingling throughout all of his body.
âI seeâŚâ muttered Tybalt, his voice trailing off a bit when he caught himself staring at Mercutioâs Adamâs apple which moved while he was swallowing his drink. Tybalt couldnât really come to terms with how disturbingly attractive the red-haired man looked like. Or wait, did he really call this Escalus âattractiveââŚ? Perhaps that was wine talking through him. He shook the thoughts off. âFun. Is that what you call tormenting people, even if theyâre your family?â he asked, but without venom - only pure curiosity couldâve been heard in his voice. He slowly moved his fingers, so that his hand was even closer to Mercutioâs.
Tybalt took a sip of his wine. He really appreciated the sweet taste and brilliant quality of the drink. He closed his eyes and sighed. âItâs all fun and jokes for you, isnât it?â he murmured.Â
This comment made Mercutio halt. Tybalt always kne whow to get to him, one way or another, and to hear sucha s erious tone from him - and with it such a seriously meant question- made the young man pause. He turned to face him, the glass of wine forgotten in his hand. âWell, yes. Shouldnât life be all about joy?â The corner of his lips twitched into a small smile. âDear Tybalt, you really need to learn the art of life. Youâre much too rigid, too stiff. Here, let me be your teacher.â
He had sat his glass on the table and reached with both hands for Tybaltâs shoulders, as if he was going to give him a massage. The cheeky smile never left his face.
Mercutio nodded vehemently. âVal? Well, heâs about fifteen now.â Did he really need to count his fingers to come to that conclusion? âWho knows what happens in this silly head of yoursâ huffed Tybalt. âDo you suggest that I couldnât deal with such a nuisance as a denaturant? Never underestimate me, Escalusâ
Tybalt didnât want to appear incapable or worse. Not in front of Mercutio. Not to mention that he wanted to somehow cover his lack of knowledge - what was that he had in this little bottle? He somehow failed to notice. And no, obviously he just didnât notice, itâs not that he had a vision defect. And surely, not because he preferred to be incapable of reading instead of wearing glasses in public. If only he was not allergic to lensesâŚ
He looked at their joined hands and thought of snatching his own from Mercutioâs grip. But then⌠never give up, he reminded himself. He smiled and tightened the grip even more.
âShall we go?â he asked with a grin. âI know the place where they serve the best drinks in whole Verona.â And not waiting for the answer he pulled Mercutio forcing him to follow.
Now this was something new. Usually when Tybalt pushed and pulled him around it was to push him against a wall or to pull him aside so he could hit him with his fist. But this time he was being pulled along just as roughly as usually but for a completely different purpose.
Heâd love to deny his cheeks had turned red.
âSusprise me Cat King.â was all that escaped his lips. Could he really not think of anything better to say? Surely he knew the best places in Verona, his uncleâs budget allowed him to know so many spots expensive and not.
When they reached the destinated area he started to look around, feeling slightly uncomfortable in this part of the city. There were mostly Capulet supporters around.Â
âI do understand why you go here.â Â He muttered.Â
Tybalt only smiled in return. He enjoyed making Mercutio feel uncomfortable. Usually, it was the other way around, but now, they were on his ground and he felt triumphant. If asked, he would never admit it, but he enjoyed Mercutioâs smaller, warm hand in his own.Â
They walked through almost empty streets (this hour!) of Capuletâs part of the city. Tybalt decided not to take Mercutio to the pub where he sat most often (He didnât want to be recognized, right?) but he headed to the bar, which he liked when he wanted to be alone and reasonably anonymous. They entered a small room, which was placed in the basement. It was very warm and cosy. Not very big, round, dark, wooden tables with ashtrays on them, red, comfortable chairs, pleasant, yellow light⌠Somewhere before entering the place Tybalt let go off Mercutioâs hand with a reasonable amount of remorse that he had to do so. He chose the table in the corner of the room. Itâs greatest advantage was that it was not very visible for anyone else, but Tybalt had a perfect view for the whole surrounding. It made him feel safe. Not counting them, there were only three people in the bar and fortunately, Tybalt knew none of them. âSo, what would you like to drink?â he asked, not sure of Mercutioâs tastes.
âWell,â Mercutio said as he licked his lips and sat down in the corner. âIâd like a Orange drink, please.â
He knew how to keep his face straight and serious, and though he secretly preferred soft drinks over booze, he said it just to see if he could piss Tybalt off. eventually his cheeky grin made his way through the facade and Mercutio couldnât help but chuckle.
âWith the risk of sounding boring, mulled wine for me please. Itâs a bit cold outside these days and one has to get up as early as this in the mornings⌠wellâŚâ His voice drifted off as his eyes sought for Tybaltâs, trying to see if the other man understood him. âI just wish to feel warm.â
The market hadnât been exactly as sunny as it would be in summer time.
Tybalt raised his eyebrows, called the waitress and ordered two mulled wines. Though, he shifted uncomfortably under Mercutioâs gaze. He still wasnât sure what to make of the whole situation. Not at all. He moved his hand on the table, so that it rested only inches apart from Mercutioâs fingers. But not touched them. He wouldnât dare to take this slim fingers into his hand on his own, despite the great desire to do so. He wouldnât risk making fool of himself, he still didnât know if it wasnât just some mischievous plot, or some kind of foolish joke of the other.Â
When their drinks were brought, Tybalt focused on his glass right away, using it as an excuse not to look exactly in Mercutioâs eyes. âSo, what exactly got into you, that youâve decided to spent this accursed morning with a Capulet?â he asked in a conversational tone.Â
âChristmas shopping.â Was the simple reply. The red-head kept his eyes fixed in front of him, as if the glass of wine was the most interesting thing in the world.
Oh, he had noticed that Tybaltâs fingers were a tad too close to his own; he only needed to reach out just a little to touch them. Those long, slender fingers peaking out of the black leather of the fingerless gloves the Capulet was wearing were so tempting that Mercutio had to bite his cheek in order to compose himself not to touch them. As long as he could keep his hands off the other manâs digits heâd be fine, right? He rolled his eyes. âI know. I donât have as many family to buy gifts for as you have but itâs still a task all the same. I mean, ValentineâŚ.â Here he paused to take a sip of his wine and spluttered. âDarn, this is good stuff.â He quickly took another sip again. âAnyway, Val is starting to get in that certain age where girls become interesting and stuff and now I need to find him something dirty and fun. Like a drinking game or those dice you can buy that tell you what position to use?â Did he just look straight at Tybalt as he said that?Â
âYou would allow your younger brother to play⌠a drinking game?â Tybalt couldnât believe this, imagining his beloved Julia involving in such practices. She was a girl, sure, but kids these days⌠Though he greeted the seemingly neutral topic with some relief. âHow old is he anyway?â he asked. He was never really concerned with the younger Escalus - it was his older brother whom he had to deal with most of the time. And now, said brother, this red-haired clown, looked at him in such a way⌠Tybalt unconsciously licked his lips, and took another sip of his wine. âAnd potions? Really?â he asked, because he felt something more to that. Not wanting to ponder longer on the thought, though, he forced himself to stop feeling this weird sensation in his stomach. What was this guy doing to him?
Mercutio nodded vehemently. âVal? Well, heâs about fifteen now.â Did he really need to count his fingers to come to that conclusion? Whatever, he was fairly certain he had it right because he knew how many years he differed from his younger sibling and he knew he always forgot ages and birthdays. âI do understand why you go here.â Â He muttered.Â
It was certainly not the best day of Tybaltâs life.
And it was not even because he was woken up by Julietâs Nurse at some ungodly hour. It was not even due to the fact that despite his grumbling and vivid protests, he was forced to get up and ran errands for the household. Finally, it was not even because of the splitting headache that he managed to woke up with and which didnât seem to cease even a little. And he took extremely strong painkillers. Still, it wasnât helping at all.Â
But all those things were irrelevant. More importantly, it was a certain Escalusâ heir who managed to set his teeth on edge. Unfortunately, there he was - a mess of red hair which looked like the fire even from the distance, this condescending smirk, this oh so irritating posture, as if he owned the whole world. Tybalt sighed and lowered his head, in futile attempt at not being noticed. But again, it wasnât his lucky day, and the witty greetings stopped him right where he was. Â
âUp for a fight, pest?â he growled in response through greeted teeth. âOf all the misfortunes that mightâve fallen upon me, thouâst been the greatest, Escalus.â And with saying that, his hand moved unconsciously to his belt, where heâs been carrying his dagger.
âAh, I knew it.â Mercutio smiled his cheeky smile; the one that signalled he was up to no good.Â
âHe sees me and the first thing he does is reach for his blade. I am flattered.â He said it as if he was speaking to someboedy else, though there was no audience to hear him.Â
âTybalt, come now. Itâs about time someone tells you that you shouldnât always play with your blade. Put your hand down. The sight of your fingers so very near to your fly puts a fire in me. A fire I can only explain to be dread.â
He reached a hand for his head, touching his forehead delictaely, then let out a dramatic sigh. âBut seriously though.â Now he had lowered his voice and his cheeky smile was gone. His eyes stared straight at the other man. âI need to get to the market to buy me some booze. Want to come along?â
Tybalt was completely taken aback by Mercutioâs behavior. What was he thinking?! What was that even supposed to mean? This arrogant, self-confident and infuriating pest was⌠âŚinviting him for a drink, apparently?
âYouâre incapable of seriousness.â he muttered, looking at the young Escalus with a newly gained interest. The low voice of the other sent a shiver down his spine and Tybalt wasnât entirely sure how he felt about that. Nevertheless, he let his hand go off the blade and drop down to his side. The invitation⌠even if that was just some mischievous plot, what could he loose anyway?
âMight as wellâ he sighed. âDonât think too highly of yourself, though. I was going to the market anyway.â He never returned Mercutioâs fierce gaze and headed right to the marketplace. And he had to remind himself that he wasnât curious. No, no curiosity at all.
As the two walked awkwardly next to each other - Mercutio doing his utmost best to avoid looking at the man next to him- they passed many empty alleys for which the Escalus heir was grateful. Suppose one of his friends would see him like this? What would they say? What could be his excuse? But as they neared the market there seemed to be more and more people awake. Chickens were sold, fine silks, pigs, expensive watches, stimulants - what was it he was looking for again? âAh, we need to get this,â Mercutio suddenly said, tugging Tybaltâs sleeve at elbow height. The red-haired boy had turned away from his companion to bend over some suspicious looking bottles in different tints and allowed for his nimble fingers to pick one up. It was a purple bottle with an ettiquette on it.Â
âDenaturant?â asked Tybalt rising his eyebrows. He didnât comment on being pulled by his sleeve, though. Other day heâd just kill the other even for the attempt at doing so. But this day was different. âMercutio, are you serious? Do you want to drink or get wrecked?âÂ
Seriously, the whole situation was awkward and Tybalt prayed to God for no one from his family would notice him hanging around with the Montagueâs dog. He wasnât even sure why he decided to do so and he slowly started to regret his decision. But, he was Tybalt Capulet. He wasnât going to appear weak and run away. He was going to take it all head on.Â
âIf thatâs what you wish, let it be my treat.â he stated simply.
Mercutio eyed him as if heâd said something silly. âIf you want to get wasted and buy me a drink be my guest...â He paid for the bottle and tucked it into his breastpocket - it was small enough for that- then took Tybalt by the hand.
âBut letâs do it at a proper bar or something.â he chuckled and ran his free hand through his wild locks, creating even more of a chaos hairstyle,
âThe bottle is for Valentine. I think itâd do him good.â
What had he just read on it? The pink bottles said Love Potion, the Red said Heart Throb, the blue ones said Love Tears and the yellow said Lust. But Mercutio already pushed Tybalt away from the stand before he could get a glimpse at the purple bottles.
âDenaturant sounds a bit strong in my opinion though. Could you seriously stomach that?â
It was certainly not the best day of Tybaltâs life.

Morning had come all too soon. The moment the birds had chirped had been the moment Mercutio had thrown his phone halfway through the room and against the window. He hated his alarm-clock whenever it would ring - and unfortunately his alarm-clock was part of his phone - and heâd been lucky that nothing had been broken. After groaning and pushing himself up on his elbows - since when had he developed the habit of sleeping on his tummy with his face buried in the pillow? - he managed to push himself out of the bed with a lot of grumbling.
Such had been his morning and it is therefore no surprise that when he entered the streets of Verona that day he was in quite a groggy mood. When he spotted Tybalt he couldnât contain himself. Blame the lack of sleep or the early hour at which he had risen but he could not help the words as they spilled freely without his control. âGood King of Cats, up already at this hour? My, no wonder you deserve the title of a King! I should clap my hands, alas, they are filled with more important matter.â He looked down at them. âWhat? You see nothing in them? I did mean the air, of course.  And now as the air itself I shall be passing.â
