“ that’s definitely a plus. conjugation is a bitch. but after a while it gets pretty instinctive. except for irregular verbs, they’re the true evil in humanity and must be destroyed. ” she laughed. “ oh, no, never in the middle of a word. i’m not sure how that would even work, but it would definitely be funny. my brain is probably not ready for that yet, though. ”

“Well costume design for now for sure, but I might want to dabble my toes in the water of couture fashion one day.” She admitted, having her own line with a runway show was one of her dreams.

“Do you have pictures of your stuff?” she asked, tilting her head. “I’d love to see something.”

“Yeah I’m the designer, my entire life is clothes and fashion.” She nodded, it was true and she was so incredibly grateful for it. “You do the lights and stuff right?” Jordan didn’t mean to sound stupid, but the tech for the show was never something she really understood.

Mercury nodded. “You looking to be in fashion full time or you just like doing costume design?” She hummed and nodded. “Just lights,” she said, smiling. 

“This is a very good point, I wouldn’t be missing out on too much.” 

“And nothing will really change while you’re gone, I’d bet.”

“I’m always ready, it’s a gift and a curse.” Jordan admitted, sometimes she wished she could be more practical and just bring what she needed instead of what she may need. “I just get anxious when I don’t have the clothes I do need, it’s a whole thing.” She waved it off, Jordan just always had to be in control with clothing. “You’ve got a cute kid.” She mentioned, shifting the subject to the small girl.

“You never have to worry about forgetting something,” she said, shrugging slightly. She laughed quietly at the clothes comment and nodded. “You’re a designer, right? I can understand that.” She smiled and looked down at Ella, who beamed at the other woman. The little girl thanked Jordan and Mercury was ecstatic with pride at her remembering her manners. “Thank you,” she said, too.

“I should probably do it, it may be refreshing to take a step back.”

“I think the only thing you’ll miss is the latest trend about Holden or Cheez-Its or whatever.”

a chuckle escaped florencia’s lips as she nodded. “ oh, shit, really ?? i’ve always wanted to learn asl, but i only know the alphabet. which is a start, i guess. but with spoken language it kind of depends who i’m with, you know ?? like, if i’m living in the united states and constantly speaking with american people the standard in my brain is english, but then i talk to my parents who speak all the languages i do and i just kind of switch in the middle of a sentence without noticing. ”

“Maybe I should take a break, but then again where’s the fun in that ? ”

“Sometimes it’s good to get away from social media a bit, in my opinion.”
