i’m not trying to hate whatsoever, but as a queer woman i am wondering if you could possibly stop tagging your posts as “lesbian” as these women you are posting are most likely heterosexual irl and this leads to posts made by non-lesbians/non-wlw ending up on feeds that we’ve curated to be wlw centric. it is upsetting that if you like any post with a lesbian tag made by actual lesbians, you inevitably get porn on your feed despite interacting with SFW posts in my experience :/ which isn’t necessarily your fault how tumblr’s dogshit “algorithm” works but i would just like to ask if you could find another tag besides wlw/queer tags for exposure
i’m not a cop so you can keep tagging your posts however you please and i don’t mean to be hateful at all, however i have seen these types of posts on my feed when i am not seeking out this type of content at all and this is a recurring problem for lots of us in the queer community (the same issue happens with trans tags that are filled with pornography basically) and it’s upsetting to see your sexuality limited to a tag on a pornographic post. thanks
That's a good point, but I don't understand how it applies to this blog. It was flagged by Tumblr mods as explicit and hidden from search, hence the ugly profile picture. So none of our posts show up in any general tags or search, it's just a way to track posts internally. If I tag something with lesbian, and check the lesbian tag, our post is nowhere to be seen.
If you are seeing our posts publicly somewhere, then I would love to know where. Some alternative Tumblr search? Did it show up as recommended? That would be interesting considering Tumblr is supposed to hide the blog.
Tags are not precious to us so if you have any other reasons then I'm all ears. I'll change it to "#girls kissing" or something like that.
