This is what the tea that was dumped into the Boston Harbor would have looked like. In the 1700s, tea was compressed into planks; a plank this size could last a person roughly a year. They would be bought in sections, and small slivers would be shaved off into the kettle every time somebody wanted to make a cup of tea.

If you’re mentally ill and you feel a connection to a character who is mentally ill then that is okay, even if other people might say that it was wrong for them to be mentally ill or wasn’t portrayed well enough. Those could be totally reasonable criticisms, but the burden doesn’t fall on you to stop liking something that you connect to, especially when’s it hard enough already to find things like that. 

A character has an illness even though the actor playing them doesn’t and no one with that illness was consulted while making the show/movie? They showed them doing things that add to an already existing stigma? That’s bad, but it’s their fault for making it, not your fault for still relating to the character. A singer or band has a song that portrays an illness they don’t have and could be seen as exaggerating it? They shouldn’t have done that, but if the song makes you feel valid then go ahead and listen!! 

but then they did an episode where they established that even just fucking laying there for a half hour, not even sleeping just laying there and not even for an hour, makes a significant difference and you’ll feel way better
