when malcolm and lois get along, their relationship is actually so adorable. like in that one episode where malcolm wants the car so he vents to lois for sympathy but it eventually leads to them bonding for real. or when they both got mono so they quarantined together, bedazzled everything, and played truth or dare. these moments don’t happen that often in the show but when they do it makes me so happy <3

if you think lois is a bad parent then what does that make hal? lois runs that household like the goddamn marines and what does hal do. people only blame lois for sending francis to military school like hal had no say in that decision or any other decision. hell hal was the one who encouraged her to step up and stop being so gentle with their kids in the first place. he basically gives her all the dirty work of disciplining their kids and keeping them in line so he can be the “good parent” but really it’s just borderline neglect and he could never handle those boys on his own. i don’t even hate hal but the way people demonize lois and put him on a pedestal drives me crazy.
