I’m still learning to love the parts of me that no one claps for.

I’ve broken ankles, I’ve sprained fingers, I’ve hit my head so hard I saw stars for 2 hours. I’ve had bruises bigger than my hand, I’ve smacked face first into water from 20 feet up, I’ve bitten through my lip and I’ve punched a wall so hard my knuckles bled. And none of that compares to the aching pain of crying when you’re screaming, when you’re angry and frustrated and lost as to how the world could be so cruel. No pain is as great as the pull in your stomach when you cry too hard for just tears. The worst hurt is the crying where your mental and physical pain gang up on you, and all you can do is crumple and sob and hope for life to stop. I’ve been hurt. But nothing hurts as bad as life.
