Melon Bread

It was a normal day, you talk your usual walk from the Agency provided apartments and tread through the early waking streets with the goal of hopefully getting to work before Kunikida and avoiding your 3rd scolding that week. Although knowing your luck, it would still happen. It was a habit, part of the routine you tried so hard to not fall into. But it was standard and knowing you would at least make it into the building provided comfort. (And Kunikida never seemed as harsh with his words on you than he did on, say, Dazai.). It was nothing new, nothing out of the ordinary. But, alad, you were well known in the Agency for your horrible luck and inconvenient timing of events.

It was too quick for you to catch it, to see it in time. The sudden thud as your body flopped onto something hard and metal. First you heard was the sound of tire screeching to a stop and Kunikida's panicked yell. Next all you felt was the hard metal and exploding pain all over. Nothing insane, but damn did it hurt. You checked yourself over while Kunikida had....a word with the driver. It wasn't too bad an injury. By then Atsushi and Dazai had arrived, witnessed the event, and promptly ushered you into the cafe to sit down while Atsushi ran up the stairs to get Yosano. Now you're surrounded by the entire Agency (When did Fukuzawa get here?) and one Lucy standing off to the side

How are they all feeling about it?

Atsushi:

Honestly? Probably freaking out a lottle bit. Probably only just got to the front of the Agency with Dazai when it happened and is running over once Kunikida was making sure you were alive and then yelling at the driving. He's suffering the worst out of the group (besides you), thinking it was almost going to end up like his Director. ANd while, thnakfully, you aren't bleeding or splattered across the road, you aren't like him and his tiger. You can't just heal these injuries and walk them off. He knows some injuries are internal and can't handle losing someone he cares about.

Also hovers over Yosano with Ranpo, but stands a little further away. He can feel the tension leaving him once you're bassically cleared. He keeps an eye and ear out for cars after but things return to relative normality for him.

Dazai

He might be acting a little melodramatic and asking why it was you who got hit by the car and not him. He would have totally died instaed but no! You got hit head on and survived! After complaining, he does that stupid little thinking face and comments that it probably wouldn't have been a perferred method due to the pain and high likelihood of surviving. He laments about it for a bit before "buying" you something to drink. He's trying to show he cares somehow. He's glad you're alright though.

However, while this is GN, if you're a woman he will sob about how it was the perfect chance for a double suicide dispite the fact you survived with little injuries and also it would have been very painful. He's just whinging honestly.

If you're a man he's whining about it.

Kunikida

At first he's freaking the fuck out. You jsut got hit by a car and you just brushed it off! Like that! Without a worry in the world!? Are you stupid!!! You aren't Dazai! (Unless you are in which case he's just yelling at you). He knows you didn't do it on purpose, the driver was ovbioulsy at fault for not following road law and ramming into a citizen without watching, but he still scolds you for not watching where you're going.

He's forcing you to match his sceudele after this. You are both arriving to the Agency at the same time so he can make sure no other accidents happen. He almost held your hand like a mother and her child when crossing the street at some point but Dazai bullied him so he stopped.

Ranpo

lol. lmao. u got hit by a car. skill issue.

Okay but for real, Kinda laughs at you a bit. You got hit by a car and walked off completely fine, kind of ironic. If it was him he would have known the car was coming and gotten out of the way in time! (he would have also been hit.). Although he acts like it was your skill issue for getting hit, he's the one hovering behind Yosano while she looks you over. He might. might.might might. share oen singular piece of chocolate as a condolence for the inconvence of being hit by a car

He doesn't do anything special after, but the signs are there. Usually him having you "assist" his journeys to the cases more often (have fun being his new babysitter) or pestering you to solve cases he's already solved.

Tanizakis (im doing them both at the same time to save energy) (i also dont really know how to write them atm, sorry)

Naomi and Tanizaki are the last ones to the scene (and cafe) since Naomi was doing her clerk job and Jun'ichiro was finishing filing away the day before's cases. Although upon seeing Yosano scurry out with Fukuzawa quickly following her, the two got up to follow as well. They're both kind of shocked you got hit and survived, wondering if it was some half-assed assinastion attempt by the PM or some other enemy (Kunikida later explained it was just someone being a complete moron and you were just the unlucky individiual caught up in it).

They're still a little suspcious and might get snippy next PM conflict, but are more glad you're okay than the idea fo reveneg (although Jun'ichiro might find the dude and give him a (verbal, hopefully) piece of his mind). Naomi will probably post about it online.

Kenji

Besides the fact he's a little worried you got ran over, he's more excited that you got right back up! Seeing that as a sign of strength similar to his, Kenji believes that it would be great to spar with you eventualyl then! After you're done healing of course. Seeing as no normal person or ability user (cough ango) survives getting hit by cars very often, he wonders if you're holding back!

It's only after Yosano says it was a lucky break that he probably would hold back a little fight. But he offers to train you by having you go to his village with him to herd cows. Do not accept. Please. (this has been a PSA by someone who has interacted with cows).

Kyouka

First reaction? Poke you with the (UNSEATHED.) sword. Just to make sure your alive, much to Kunikida's fustration and Atsushi's concern. After she's giving you some chocolate and making sure you're okay. Part of the Tanizaki's "this was done by the PM" conspiracy and will be a little harder on Akutagawa (rip him).

Holds your hand when crossing the street from now on. It's a little cute honestly so you don't tell her to stop. She seems happier when doing so too, the smallest bit of a skip in her step after.

Yosano

Checking you over Once. And then Twice. And then a Third time. How are you not bleeding out or have several broken bones? While she wasn't there to see you get run into, she did hear the recount from Kunikida and expected you to maybe have a concussion, maybe a broken bone or two. But no, just a bruise and some swollen areas. Nothing that needed her....expertise. She was mostly thankful about and lightly teases you about her using her ability "just in case" much to everyone else's horror.

She is glad you're okay. A hand on your shoulder is enough for her to convey that much where words might fail. Although you are going to be the butt of her jokes for a good few months. And don't act surprised if she's still constantly checking on you.

Fukuzawa

He's a little late to the party really, his office is in the back and no one really bothers him unless it's something to be bothered about. When Yosano rapped on his door and didn't even bother to wait for a "come in" or even opn the door at all, going with a "We're down in the cafe. One of us got injured", and then walk away, Fukuzawa knew it was important. Although last thing he expcted was that you of all people got hit by a car (and managed to walk it off). He's slightly worried that there might be something internal, but when Yosano clears you he can feel the tension just fall away.

He makes you take a week off to recover and makes sure any cases you (and Ranpo) take afterwards aren't far of a walk. He will come by int he mornings with a cup of tea or some snacks before returning to his office without much words. He's just glad you're alright.
