The most important thing we need to acknowledge about LoS is the animation.

THE ANIMATION.

The film was out in 2014. Now look at the recent series (Knights of the Zodiac or something like that on Netflix), it has been released on 2020. Compare the panels and you'll see the difference. (Not saying KotZ had a bad animation, it was factualy good even if I personally didn't like it, but come one, LoS is the superior one. And tbh, for me it was the pinnacle of animation in the Saint Seiya universe.)

And the aesthetic.

I swear I can cry over this movie just by seeing some panels. It is magnificent of beauty. The golden clothes are just so incredible, I swear the first time I saw the movie it let an indelible trace in my brain.

All that golden and kinda futuristic-yet-ancient aesthetic was so pleasant. LoS was my first introduction to Saint Seiya (which also explains my love for the movie) and tbh I was kinda disappointed when I realized that in the og, the Sanctuary was, in fact, not floating on the top of a big ass magnificent golden city and when I realized the normal knights are just silly guys with three pieces of armour (that's honestly what I thought when I discovered the hard truth 😞) (when I first saw the movie, I was traumatized by the first knight who attacks Saori on the bridge, the skinny one with a mask and the weird iron dreadlocks and at the same time I found him so class I wanted his armour). LoS was the prime time of the golden saints. Just their armors were so cool with the glowing parts and retractable masks, and once again, I was disappointed when I saw the 2d armors.

And I'm gonna be honest, I still find the og armors designs quite lame. I have been blessed by pure heaven too early and now I can only be deceived (I still love the series, spin-off, etc, I just think nothing will top the beauty of LoS.)

And yes. All the characters were so beautiful. I had a crush on every single one of them (Milo was my bi awakening before I knew what a bi awakening is) (a single watching of this movie taught me all the 12 signs of the Zodiac, their order and the name of every gold saint) (and yes I'm gonna make a list of the 12 of them and my thoughts abt them.)

Like, Mû with his long hair and his little glasses ? Smash.

Aldebaran ? Smash. (His long table of food make me so hungry I'm always upset when he throws away everything.)

Saga ? Smash. I want more of the Gemini armor bc I find it so cool. Like yes give me a gold and black armor ? That's exactly the thing we want ?

Deathmask ? Smash. His entrance is so iconic I don't understand how can somebody seriously hate him ? (He's a asshole ik. I'm being delulu bc I love his goofy vibe)

Aiolia ? SMASSSSSSSHHHH. I LOVE HIM I WANT HIM I-

Hot guy and cool thunder ig.

Shaka ? Smash. Man was one of my favorite just bc he's so strong. Goated entrance.

We didn't see Dohko but i would have folded so fast for young him in LoS style.

Milo ? SMASH. BOOM SHAKALAKA. HELL YES. Making her a very hot woman was the best decision they could ever take for the movie. Young me knew what's up fr 😭

Aiolos ? Smash. I like miserable dying men.

Shura ? SMASH. CAPRICORN BELIEVER ASSEMBLE. The Capricorn armor is my favorite bc I'm a Capricorn bc of this movie. I'm always so happy when he kills Aiolos with Excalibur bc I'm like "Yeahhh show 'em who's the boss" and ofc he survived he's a Capricorn (yes he got manipulated by Saga but who's perfect ? Let him make errors he's just a man 😌)

Camus ? Smash. Didn't see him a lot, bro saved his apprentice and told him to go fuck himself and then tried to kill him but he's hot ig.

Aphrodite ? Smash. Smash. Smash. Smash. Smash- Giving him only 30 sec of screentime was absolutely scandalous show us more his pretty face 😭 Give me my twink back ("bla bla bla proper name place name backstory stuff" kind of shit)

And ofc the main 5 are in my smash list too. Every. Single. One. Of. Them. Especially Ikki. I love him he's hot and a bitch he reminded me of Riven from Winx (the duality of a kid : magical fairy girls and twinks in armors)
