OpenSO is a revival of FreeSO, a fan-hosted recreation of The Sims Online, upgraded with a modern foundation:

Runs on .NET 10 LTS with the latest MonoGame. GitHub Actions automatically builds client, server, and updated shaders for all platforms.

A C# launcher replacing the old Electron one, with an integrated patcher and self-updater.

Replaced the Mina.NET dependency with a rewritten networking and buffer stack supporting TLS end-to-end encryption.

Updated rendering pipeline: dynamic frame rates >60FPS, resolution scaling, new AA options, and optional post-processing effects for 3D mode.

New features: rebuilt Create-A-Sim with zoom & rotation plus larger icons; edit your Sim's gender, appearance, and skintone at any time from the Select-A-Sim menu; a Social Bunny NPC who shows up to help your Social need when your Sim is alone. 🐰

Fixed long-standing nitpicks, like the window scaling/mouse glitch.

Always free and open source, with no pay-to-win or donation perks.

OpenSO is early in development, so things may break or be rough around the edges. Expect frequent updates.

Player feedback will be crucial in shaping the game's direction. Once the foundation is tested under a real player load, the beta release can shift focus to new content & gameplay changes while staying faithful to the original game — as well as events, documentation, tools, and quality-of-life features.

The alpha provides starting funds of $100k to begin building. The testing world, Genesis, will be wiped for the public beta.

Signups are open now and public for anyone who wants to help playtest, report bugs, or contribute ideas and changes.

That would be a recolour of the Maxis Artig painting by rascalcurious which are textures from 4t2 lina-cherie's simlish flower market prints. You can find that right here.

In Open for Business, an Employee must have 5 ‘Badge Points’ in order to be eligible for a promotion to manager. I think this promotion requirement is too steep. A Bronze Badge is worth 1 Badge Point, a Silver Badge is worth 2 Badge Points, and a Gold Badge is worth 3 Badge Points.

This mod simply reduces the requirement from 5 badge points to 3 so now the minimum requirement would be either 3 Bronze Badges, 1 Silver Badge and 1 Bronze Badge or 1 Gold Badge.

HAUS : Miscellaneous - a sims 4 custom content collection.

introducing the fourth part of my HAUS collection. this part focuses on the random items that i personally find necessary in my sims homes. i understand that this might not interest everyone & i promise i'll be back working on the rooms soon. this set includes various outlets & light switches alongside household electronics such as a burglar alarm, thermostat & doorbell.

i've stuck to a pretty basic colour palette here with what i believe to be the perfect neutrals to suit any home whether you love the basic whites or if you like the warm toned beiges to match your wallpaper. i've tried to match a semi modern theme with the electronics without them appearing too expensive looking & tech-y, in hopes that it'll suit a low budget home also.

this set of course, is designed to be paired alongside my other HAUS sets - which can be found here, here & here.

She's back!

It's finally here! It took me a while, but here's 2.0 of the Timelines mod! I gave it a bit of an overhaul.

This version of the mod includes:

🌟 NEW: Available ages up to 100! 🌟 NEW: Auto Aging with 4 different time intervals! 🌟 NEW: Buffs for more milestone ages 🌟NEW: Assign Grade Levels & Years to your Sims 🌟NEW: Assign Birth Order & Positions 🌟NEW: Assign a Generation to Your Sim (Gen 1, Gen 2, etc)

PLEASE. READ. CAREFULLY....SERIOUSLY.

New Ages?!

Yes! While many of you were satisfied with 75, I had more than a few of you ask for Elders ages to be increased. So that's what I did. Now Elders ages range from 60 all the way to 100! Did it take me a long time? Yes! But I think it's worth it for your gameplay. Your Elder Sim will also get a buff when they finally reach triple digits!

Other Age Changes in 2.0:

✳️ Toddler ages include 5 years. ✳️ Child ages now include 13 and 14 years. ✳️ Young Adults will ALWAYS have access to the Early Adult Ages (26, 27, etc..)

New Milestone Buffs:

This version of the mod introduces new milestone ages! Sims will now receive milestone buffs for the following ages:

🌟 13 years 🌟 16 years 🌟 18 years 🌟 21 years 🌟25 years 🌟 50 years 🌟 100 years

Auto Aging + Aging Intervals

This was another feature a lot of persons were asking for! After many many trial and error attempts, I finally got a working auto aging system! I recommend you turn the game's auto aging off so you can experience my auto aging feature fully. But also feel free to leave it on if that's what you're comfortable with!

🔴 HOW DOES THE AUTO AGING FEATURE WORKMy auto aging feature ONLY changes the NUMERICAL AGE of your Sim (i.e. 13 years → 14 years). It does NOT change their LIFE STAGES (i.e. Child → Teen, Adult → Elder.) You are still responsible for changing their life stages.

The auto age feature comes in FOUR intervals. Your Sims can age:

✳️ Every 2 Days → Sims change ages every 2 days. ✳️ Every 7 Days → Sims change ages every 7 days. ✳️ Every 14 Days → Sims change ages every 14 days. ✳️ Every 21 Days → Sims change ages every 21 days.

🔴 CAN I MIX AND MATCH INTERVALS?YES! You can mix and match the intervals with different life stages. If you want your infant Sims to age every 2 days, and your teen Sims to age every 7 days, you can do that! (READ MORE ON INSTALLATION AT THE END)

Depending on the interval(s) you select, your Sim will get a notification ONE day before their age changes. Afterward, you should keep an eye on your Sim's Simology Panelwhere their age will change the next day!

⚠️ IMPORTANT⚠️

IF YOU HAD THE MOD INSTALLED BEFORE, IN ORDER FOR AUTO AGING TO BEGIN, REMOVE YOUR SIMS' CURRENT AGES, THEN RE-ADD THEM!!!

AGING AT THE BIRDAY CAKE:

Your Sim will now be able to change their age number at a birthday cake! For this to work your Sim will have to select the CELEBRATE BIRTHDAY interaction (This overrides the 'Make a Wish' interaction).

🔴 NOTE: IF YOU SELECT ANY OTHTER INTERACTION, SUCH AS THE 'TASTE FROSTING'or 'BLOW OUT CANDLES' the Sim's LIFE STAGE will change as normal, and not their AGE. Be careful!

⚠️ LIMITATIONS⚠️

🔴 When your Sim comes to the end of their age cycle, YOU will have to change their life stage, then assign them the next age, for the auto aging cycle to continue.

For example:

A Teen Sim who is 19 years old, will not get another 'age' until YOU change them into a Young Adult. Then you will then have to assign them age 20, for the auto age to pick back up.

🔴 With my birthday cake add on, infants and toddlers will no longer change life stages. So you will have to change their life stage, another way. (i.e. clicking on them and selecting 'age up')

Grade Levels & Years

Credit to @minkoos for recommending this! This version of the mod also introduces Grade Levels and School Years. Levels include:

✳️ Freshman ✳️ Sophomore ✳️ Junior ✳️ Senior

You will also be able to assign them a grade year! Find the School Year & Level pie menu under the Timelines menu (once you SHIFT + CLICK)

The following grade years are available:

✳️ Kindergaten (for Toddlers) ✳️ 1st grade- 12th grade (for Child and Teen Sims)

For Young Adult to Elder Sims, they will be able to also select:

✳️ University of Britechester Graduate ✳️ Foxbury Institute Graduate

P.S. Your Sim doesn't have to be a graduate lol. Feel free to assign it as you please!

Birth Order & Positions:

I know a lot of you like to have a visual of your Sims birth orders. So this version of the mod introduces Birth Order and Positions! Positions include:

✳️ Oldest Child, Middle Child, Youngest Child, Only Child ✳️ Twins and Triplets ✳️ 1st Born-10th Born

Generations:

I didn't realize so many of you were generational players! So I incorporated 10 generation levels in this update so you can keep track with what generations your Sims are apart of. I also included traits that allow you to label your Founders and Heirs. Find the Generations pie menu under the Timelines pie menu.

a 5-generation legacy challenge inspired by the children's books we grew up on!

once upon a time, i wanted a legacy challenge that felt like a children's book; one continuous, simple story where every generation is its own chapter. so, i made one! as a follower milestone gift for you lovely people! 🙂‍↕️

each of the five gens is inspired by a beloved children's book character. it starts in a tiny, flour-dusted kitchen with a sweet, literal-minded founder, and - five generations later - ends in a funky, fancy, frilly, over-the-top mansion. and so much more along the way!

the five chapters:

🥧 gen one (amelia bedelia): the clumsy, well-intentioned homemaker who bakes their love into everything around them.

📣 gen two (junie b. jones): the loud, funny, opinionated one who decides the world needs to hear what they have to say.

🎻 gen three (chrysanthemum): the shy, late-bloomer who finds their voice in music.

🔮 gen four (matilda): the quiet bookworm whose sharp mind leads them to discover something magical about themselves.

💎 gen five (fancy nancy): the fabulous, fancy one who gives the whole legacy its glittering final bow.

each generation comes with traits, aspirations, careers, hobbies, child counts, little gameplay prompts, etc. - plus a "how to play" note reminding you to slow down, take pictures, and let the game surprise you!
