Furry in denial

I consider myself an artist but I don't post much. I mostly draw dragons, furries and other made up creatures.

Some stuff to know before you interact:

•I'm bi(still somewhat questioning tho)

•I don't vibe with proshipping, sorry. So if you are proship please leave me alone thanks.

•main fandoms currently are Hollowknight, Wings of Fire, Undertale(AUs) Pokemon, furry and some others I don't feel like mentioning

•I probably won't be that active, since tumblrs layout and culture confuses me

•I'm more active on shitter and discord

•Socially awkward, sorry if I'm hard to talk to.

•I'm bad at drawing, but I like drawing mostly furries, dragons and other creatures when I do.

So I think I'm starting to dislike CrossxDream more and more every time I see that fuckass comic reposted.

I already had a sort of love/hate relationship with the ship to begin with.

On one hand, there's so much potential for their dynamic with eachother. But I always see it as Cross being portrayed as some big,alpha protector of the poor,innocent little Dream. And this portrayal usually leads into the same place that comic had, where Cross is a pervet taking advantage of Dream.

I don't think the ship is *inherently* problematic because of this, but I still get a bad feeling anytime I see it.

And the kicker is,I WANT to like it. As I said,there's potential there for something really interesting. But knowing about the ships past it's hard for me to appreciate it.

I'm really irked by people bringing up that damn Cream(Cross x Dream) comic in relation to all the recent shit with joku.

Firstly, that comic is nearly a decade old at this point. It should be forgotten. And secondly, Jakei has stated several times she wants nothing to do with it and regrets ever making it. She wants to distance herself from it,and I think her wishes should be respected.

But most of all,Joku has hurt people. Kids. And people are bringing up the weird ships he liked or problematic content he made. Like it's on the level of exploitation, abuse and harassment.

I'm not even a proshipper,I think those people are weird too,but do people not see the more pressing issues at hand?? People shouldn't be bringing up jokus or jakeis icky content to distract from these serious allegations.
