Lion is Steven’s therapy animal, I don’t make the rules. He holds Steven’s snacks and medication, pesters him into calling home, and purrs on his stomach when Steven’s sad.

Plus, Steven and Connie are totally the kind of people who wrestle with their pets.

Bonus:

Steven and the twins are just chilling in the Mystery Shack, then suddenly they heard a loud noise, so the three go out to see what made that noise.

Then the see the freaking ship of the diamonds outside (where in the world would they land, I have no idea)

And Steven is like “Not this shit again”

While Dipper is just slowly losing his shit, his mind is all “WHATTHEHECKWHATISTHATTHINGWHAT-”

Then the Diamonds (and Spinel) get out and that’s when he officially loses his mind, meanwhile Steven is just talking with the Diamonds.
