Jax wasn't lovely. Jax was awful, cruel and pushed everyone away, and never took a single chance given.

He wasn't lovely.

But she could have been.

Oh Jax. If you just accepted yourself and the people around you sooner, she could've have been lovely. You would've been happier with yourself and the world around you. If you loved yourself for who you were, you probably would've hurt less people.

But you let her exist far too late. It took someone personally traveling through your torment to the point you couldn't hide anything anymore, to let her breathe.

The moment you admitted "I don't want to go" when the entire rest of the series you were begging to fade away, you admitted you wanted to keep living as her. That's why the song started at that moment. She was born far too late.

I'm not saying she wasn't genuinely remorseful for what she did or that she doesn't deserve to heal from her trauma.

But it doesn't automatically absolve her of all of the cruelty and malice she inflicted upon her, and the horrific toll it took upon her mental and emotional well-being.
