“Robin hoof is a Cinematic Masterpiece.” Derek chuckled. “I’m a big fan of Hercules and Big Hero Six.” he said. Disney was almost his favorite thing to tal about. He could feel himself relaxing every second. He wasn’t too much of a people person but the conversation was nice. 

“Hercules is definitely a good one. And so underrated. We should start with that one, it’s decided.” She grinned. “I honestly don’t think I’ve seen Big Hero Six. If I did, I don’t remember it. Same thing happened with Wall-E. Like, I know I’ve seen that one, but I couldn’t tell you a thing other than the robot’s cute and the people were, like, really fat.”

“Me too,” she replied. “I haven’t seen Wes yet, and knowing him, he’s doing something stupid trying to find me or something stupid to help someone else.”

Jackie chewed her lip, she hadn’t seen the older Skeeter since earlier that evening either. “I’m sure he’s fine, Laurel...” She assured the other girl. “Have you tried calling him or something? You can use my phone, if you need to.”

"Oh my gosh, you could be, like, my spirit animal or something, " Jackie giggled. "Did you hear they postponed classes? Too bad you don't get to actually use the hospital as an excuse to ditch now, huh?"

“You know what, I think that sounds like a great plan. It should be how you round off every night.”

She had been being sarcastic; nothing felt like a win after the events of New Year’s. But she couldn’t help but smile at her housemate. “With hot chocolate and a movie. That sounds like perfection.”

"Well, I for one am glad that you weren't," she said, her arms wrapped around him. "I don't know what I would do without my Jimmy Jim Jim. Probably cry and eat so many gallons of ice cream any modeling career would be ruined."

“From the little amount I have read on it, They need to step up their game.” Derek laughed. “I feel that we could watch Moana last.” he suggested. “After seeing it so many times, I think I’d like to wait a bit longer.” he confesed, a chuckle leving his lips. “What is your favorite Disney movie? 

Jackie just shrugged, like any other conversation that she couldn’t follow she just agreed with whatever was being said. “It sounds like it.” Her lips pursed at his question, probably one of the hardest she had ever had to answer. “I wanna say Sleeping Beauty, but then there’s also Aladdin. And Robin Hood.”

“Ever boy has a man crush , don’t let them fool you.” Derek said seriously taking a sip of his drink. “Moana!” he laughed, “My little sister loves it so i’ve seen it maybe a thousand times.” he confessed. “Thats exactly what Iw as thinking. Im almost Done studying Wizarding politics; I wonder how the muggle do politics?” Derek questioned. “I don’t want to admit it, but I also love a good Disney movie. Even if I have seen Moana a thousand times.”

“My mom’s muggle. According to her, it’s a mess.” Jackie laughed. She was still inexperienced when it came to politics all around, so she suspected that explanation was only because she wouldn’t understand what politics was really about. “Well, good news is there’s like hundreds of Disney movies, so we could watch any of them, really. Although I wouldn’t say no to watching Moana at least once.””

Laurel hugged Jackie back. “Yeah, yeah, I’m fine, I’m just waiting to get out of here to get to my brother,” Laurel replied. “I’m fine, just got shoved around and stuff. Are you okay? I heard a few people got hurt, I don’t know how major.”

She nodded. “Yeah, I’m fine. Somehow I managed to avoid, like, everything.” Jackie scoffed like it was no big deal, but she had been scared in the midst of it all. Thoughts of whether or not she’d make it through the night or see her friends and family again ran through her head the whole time. “I heard that too... I didn’t hear any names though. It really worries me.”

“For some reason I doubt that’s it,” Owen remarked. He groaned, looking around again, this time his eyes searching for Olivia. “Why does weird shit always happen?” The question was rhetorical, though an actual answer would be nice. He wasn’t expecting one. 

Jackie had no idea what was happening, but she knew better than to get separated from her friend. Keeping as close as possible, she nudged Owen’s shoulder. “We should probably get out of here. You know when weird things happen it gets worse.”

"I must be the only person that hasn't then if even you've seen it," Jackie replied teasingly, unable to help the giggle as he went on about the actor. "Down boy, your man crush is showing. But he really is. Full disclosure, I totally saw that Disney movie he was in just because he was in it, even if his face wasn't." A smirk pulled at the corners of her lips. "But how cool would it be if he was? Like, I don't know. A lot of wizards now are okay with muggles for the most part. I wouldn't put it past one or two of them to work in the muggle world. I've even thought about it. It really doesn't have to be Matthew, you know. I mean who knows? We might not be in a Matthew mood whenever movie night happens."

"Okay, that's like the one McConaughey movie I haven't seen," Jackie admitted, her nose crinkling at the memory of seeing the preview. "It just seemed like.... Really intense. So I just keep skipping over it. At least you upped me with someone like Dwayne Johnson. I swear, I could watch an hour and a half of him just standing there. Not even doing anything, just standing there shirtless. That's definitely an important factor." The invite, although she had been the one to suggest asking someone, came as a surprise. A nice surprise. "Yeah, sure. That sounds like fun. And the perfect opportunity to sway you over to the McConaughey side."

Jackie pouted at him, although she was still playful in her demeanor. "Are you really judging me right now? I'm offended." With a soft laugh she took a small drink and shrugged a shoulder. "Not always him, just this month he's kinda been the thing. I don't know." Nodding, she added, "You know, I'm sure if you asked someone to join you for a movie night they'd say okay. Everyone loves movie nights."

An air of relief left her when she spotted a familiar face, immediately Jackie walked over to her housemate and pulled her into a hug. “Oh my gosh, Laurel, I’m so glad you’re okay.” She gushed, holding onto the blonde girl’s hands. “You are okay, right? You’re not hurt or anything?”
