POST IT FOR INSPIRATION!
Hi, I’m Patrick and I’m here to tell you that you can find Inspiration in all things.
I’m 23, Artist, painter, sculpture, and professional Photographer. In April of 2013 I was diagnosed with stage 2 Metastatic Melanoma. The first surgery was successful and I was considered cancer free. Then 7 months later it came back. Stage 3 metastatic melanoma, I was scared and I was lost. I then started treatments Including 20 days of radiation and a year of immunotherapy.
I still remember my first day of treatments... My boyfriend and I were sitting in the waiting room until my treatment. When a woman screaming and running down the hall with a wheel chair broke the silence. In it sat a pale and lifeless woman. She was there to see the same doctor I was.
She died in the adjacent waiting room; they wheeled her into a room right in front of our waiting area leaving the woman that brought her out in the hall whaling uncontrollably.
At that moment I was scared; holding back tears I lifted my head and prayed.
I knew this would not be an easy journey
but it was one I must take.
From that day on I decided to make the best of a bad situation.
Now almost two years after my first diagnosis my treatments are finished and I’ve been cancer free for an entire year. I look back and remember all the hard days and all the times I wanted to give up. But then I look at what all I created and all the memories I shared with friends and family during that time. WOW, melanoma only kept me from holding a steady job, but It never kept me from being who I am.
During this time I learned to turn MELANOMA into an INSPIRATION.
Every time I received a new IV for my injections, I kept the medical rap. Then while I sat in the treatment room I’d mold them into roses. I kept most of them but gave some away when I felt like it. They are now sitting in my dinning room as a constant reminder that I survived and flourished as a person and artist.
I even participated In “Courage Unmasked” an event that raises money for head and neck cancer patents/survivors. Artists like myself take the common radiation mask and transform them into works or art. The idea of turning something that most people see as morbid into beautiful works of art was just wonderful. The thought of getting to take my mask home for my own artwork really got me trough the first month of treatments.
So lesson learned: Don’t let something like cancer bring you down, turn it into inspiration.
I even documented my Artistic journey with cancer on INSTAGRAM!

Yosemite National Park! Made with nothing but torn pages out of old magazines! Took me two days!
My name is Patrick Mcintosh and I'm 23. I have been diagnosed with cancer twice, the first time was stage 2 melanoma and the second was stage 3 metastatic melanoma. On may 6th of this year I was given the all clear after 3 months of treatments. On day one they made my mask for radiation, it was creepy but relaxing knowing that this item was going to help cure my cancer. On the last day of treatments mask in hand all I could think about was what was I going to do to it. My creativity and spirit were running wild!
Courage Unmasked is what kept me going when I felt like giving up. I was even given another survivors mask to transform! 4 months later I finished my downer mask. Called "My happy place". It will be auctioned off along with 60+ other masks this weekend in Nashville TN.
You can see my mask @8:50 on the video.
For more Information go to http://www.courageunmaskedtn.org/
The video is finally finished! Please share and enjoy!
My memorial day chalking, just after I took these photos the rain washed it away.
Finally got to start work on my first of two radiation masks for Courage Unmasked TN. The title of the artwork/sculpture is "My happy place". It's just one of 100's of radiation masks that will be transformed into works of art and sold to help raise money for people undergoing treatments for head and neck cancers. My second project will be my very own mask! Cancer free day 8!

My grandmothers Garden.
Just an old abandoned building!
depth!
CANCER is not a SICKNESS, it's a DISEASE.
it's MELANOMA.
It can also be a PASSION.
a INSPIRATION.
a MOTIVATION.
a BUMP.
or LUMP.
and most of all it is part of MY STORY.
I knew at some point this year I’d wind up donating to someone I knew because of a personal medical crisis. I just had hoped it wouldn’t be in the first week.
I guess I first encountered Billy Block when he was still in Los Angeles, playing drums for a country group called the Bum Steers....
Hi, my name is Patrick Mcintosh I'm 22 and a survivor and fighter of Melanoma cancer. In 2011 a mole that had been on my neck since I can remember started changing and growing. How ever I didn't take notice until February of 2012 when a little old lady started bugging me to get the mole checked! Thanks to her efforts I finally went in and found out it was a stage 2 melanoma 7mm in diameter. In the first week of march it was removed and all margins were cleared...or so they thought. In july I lost my job of almost 3 years at my local Dollar general. Just weeks after moving out and finding a new job, my partner noticed to lumps forming right next to my scar. On November 26 of 2012 they removed a stage 3 metastatic melanoma. It's now the new year and I am currently receiving local radiation on my neck. Through out all of this I have learned a lot of things from my doctors and other patients I meet in the countless waiting rooms. Melanoma is a very serious and unpredictable form of skin cancer. One that often goes un noticed by so many, so here I am to help spread the word! After searching countless sites I noticed that when it comes to cancer ALL YOU SEE IT PINK. Especially when it comes to Awareness products!
So why not design and create my own! I've always been extremely artistic and have a degree in photography that and it helps me stay occupied while I receive treatments.
Treatments are going well, but the fight is just getting started!
The melanoma awareness shirts they are each hand painted by myself even the stencils were made by me!
$20 - t-shirt
$25- long sleeve
$45 - hoodie
$10 down or full payment must be received before I start a custom order.

We've been moved in to our new apartment for a few weeks now. All of our decorations are up and the Christmas spirit is around us. Unfortunately it's been a ruff year, in February they found a melanoma on my neck. I was clean until November when two bumps formed on my neck. On the 26th they removed the lumps and I found out that the cancer had returned. To top things off Jeremiah my roommate and significant other found out that bear his dog has a terminal cancer. Money is tight and bills are coming in. So it was jeres idea to have a little fundraiser. Saturday 21st - Sunday 22nd I will be setting up a background and shooting family, couple and individual portraits with a holiday theme. $25 for 25min and a CD of 3 edited images. If you would like to schedule a shoot just give me a call or message me. Time's available from 9am to 2pm on Saturday and from 9am to 5pm on Sunday.
