I don’t want this to seem like I’m bragging or throwing in anyones face and I’m sorry if it’s too soon or comes across that way but my sister secured tickets to my first ever Taylor concert during presales. I’m in the nosebleeds behind the stage at night two in Philly but due to the chaos we would take any seat to be there. It’s so difficult because I want to be excited for my first time seeing her but when I post about it I feel terrible. It’s such a catch 22.

I’ve been a fan of Taylor for as long as I can remember. My twin sister was always so not into it and finally when folklore came out she was obsessed and listens to all of her records. It’s so special to me to get to experience my first Taylor show with my twin sister who is my best friend. It’s like a dream I never knew I needed to happen. Like everyone, I’m sure, Taylor has been there for me record after record and helping me get through life. Her words reach. They’re so powerful and hit where you need it to hit.

My ex and I had two Taylor songs that we deemed ours. Cornelia Street and Cowboy Like Me. He sadly passed away and now I have tattoos of those songs and it’s so special to have that memory of him and how special I feel for our time together. Hearing those songs brings me such happiness now. Taylor brought him and I closer together and even now that he’s gone she helped keep a piece of him with me.
