general description of hauntme247:

Hauntme247 follows the quiet, eerie lives of an introverted vampire couple trying to survive the monotony and mystery of modern life in a desolate small town. Deeply influenced by modern vampire media and other gothic works, Hauntme247 is meant to serve as a personal passion project reflected on my love for the dark and paranormal, as well as independent webcomics.

HM247 takes place during 2009, in the rural town of Wicklow, WA.

main characters:

Adam Nocturne (355)

born in britain

turned as a child, so his wings never fully developed

close with his mother (marthe), but somewhat distant with his father (arthur), the town’s priest

his house was attacked by a mysterious vampiric entity that took the form of his father

the entity killed his mom, but spared him, granting him the 'dark gift'

despite this, he'd never see his father again, unsure of whether he survived the attack, or died somewhere he couldn't see

immortality wasn't kind to him, he had witnessed plenty of death and destruction as he slowly aged

around 1850, he picked up medicine in order to provide both hope and hospitality to the sick and suffering, as he was back then

ran a well-received clinic in london until 1928, where he absentmindedly mauled a patient who came in for a simple stitching, his animalistic tendencies taking over in the moment

ever since then, he's been a recluse, retreating back to the states with his now eternal partner, and only takes doses of blood from the blood bank, which he frequently bargains with for money, as well as medical service for the worker's families

Evelyn Morrissey (154)

her mother is an ex-jazz singer (zelda) and her father a sleazy producer (charles)

was put on a high pedestal by her mother, so she barely had any choices in her life

on a retreat in london, she fell ill, and visited a clinic ran by a strange 'dr nocturne', and her life changed forever

she became a frequent visitor, even when she wasnt sick, she just wanted to spend more time with adam before she had to head back to NYC with her mother

once she learned she was promised to another man, evelyn ran back to london to be with adam for good

after only a year of living together, she fell gravely ill, tuberculosis had taken over her lungs, and she was set to die in mere days

however, it was there when adam revealed his vampiric nature, offering to relieve her of her pain so they could be together

and of course, she agreed

now, she lives the nightlife in bustling cities, often luring (despite her husbands adversary) unsuspecting victims to quench her thirsts as she travels night by night, yet always comes home to her reclusive eternal partner

Eddie Helsing (Eternally 28)

cw suicide !!

born in SoCal 1961 to an aspiring photographer (juniper) and a mysterious man who claims he's 'trying to find himself' (arthur)

this makes him adam's half brother

surrounded himself with the electric rock scene of the 80s, even forming his own band in his teens (DEDKIDZ CLUB), where he met and got together with lamby, his high school's prom queen

however by the time he was 26, he eventually realized his identity as a gay man, and broke up with her (not telling her the exact reason why, of course)

his now-ex grew resentful, stalking him after each gig, until she eventually caught him making out with a male fan, which she used as blackmail to out him with

over the next 2 years, he lost everything, his bandmates, respect from his peers...he flunked out of college, and eventually grew tired of it all, and climbed up to the rooftop of his apartment, and launched himself from the edge

he was pronounced dead at the scene, and was eventually buried by his last remaining 'friends' (the coworkers of the convenience store he worked at)

despite all this, his eyes opened once more, as if awaking from a nap, and he dug himself out of his grave, his wounds seemingly stitched back together on it's own, with absolutely no pain whatsoever

slightly grateful for his second life, and now with his new healing factor, eddie now lives as recklessly as ever, running off to a new town as a solo artist under the name DEADKIDZ RISE

Aubrey Strangelove (17)

the only mortal in the lineup

ostracized by her peers for her 'weird' interests and behavior

dabbles in black magic every now and then

STRONGLY suspects her neighbors are vampires

huge fan of eddie's music, though prefers the indie music she finds on myspace and youtube pages

highly superstitious, self proclaimed 'town skeptic'

Arthur Nocturne (377)

born in 1632 to a highly prestigious catholic family

arthur himself was agnostic, vibrantly aware of the corruption of both his family and the church, as well as his position as an eventual successor to his father, the priest of the ministry

despite himself, as well as his unwillingness to obey the church, a younger arthur found himself in a 'spiritual group' which promised prosperity and enlightenment, ran by a promiscuous woman named carmilla

he was heavily involved in the group, attending seances and rituals

it was at one of these events where he realized the dark truth about carmilla, she was a vessel from the underworld, and the group was meant to lure in unsuspecting mortals to harvest their blood, and to reap their souls en masse

arthur pleaded carmilla not to kill him, offering her both money and treasure. but carmilla didn't want that, as she had a soft spot for the poor man, she obliged to not kill him, in fact, he could go on with his life, under the condition of handing her his first born son

in the moment, arthur agreed, and had returned to his home, taking his position as the town pastor, no questions asked, finding a newfound faith in his trauma. he found a wife, marthe, and eventually had his son, adam, in 1657

by then, he foolishly thought carmilla had forgotten about their deal, as over 5 years had passed with no essence of the harbinger.

however, one unsuspecting night when he was finishing up in his rectory, he felt an unsettling sensation in his gut, and felt his body begin to twist and convulse on it's own, quickly losing control of his own autonomy before he quickly blanked out

he blinked once, and once he opened his eyes, his home was in ruins. the corpse of his wife laid out before him, with a young adam curled up nearby, alive, yet terrified and roughed up for sure

it was there he realized it was carmilla. carmilla took over his body, and tried to take his son. marthe took the fall, giving her life to defend their child.

he felt sick, and twisted. he quickly fled the scene, flying off to god-knows-where, his veins bursting with nausea and uncertainty. he was never seen in britain again.

sometime in the 1960s, arthur grew sick of immortality. he felt as if it was a punishment given by what was left of carmilla's essence on his soul.

he met juniper at a night bar, quickly latching onto her exuberant personality and keenness for creativity, which strongly mirrored his late wife, marthe

the two had their first child in 1961 (eddie), but never married

his life was nice for a while, but it all felt so sickingly nostalgic to arthur, to the point where he couldnt take it anymore, and left one night, never to be seen again by any of his direct family

despite his whereabouts being unknown, he haunts the minds of both of his children, despite being centuries apart
