My pure, mostly baseless speculation is that the actual thing(s) on Laugh Tale are just memories. Artifacts and memorabilia and memorials to Joy Boy and all of his friends, perhaps with a big picture/painting/sculpture of them all together, happy and free.

The more direct and supported answer to what the One Piece is is “freedom”. Joy Boy as Nika was the embodiment of freedom, and he was the first fighter of the tyrannical World Government.

When they put the One Piece on Laugh Tale they were doing so as a way to ensure that that tyranny would never find it, but they also MADE THE PONEGLYPH MAP. They WANTED it to be found, but they wanted it to be found by people who were free enough to look for it. They wanted people who could travel the world, interact with so many dozens of people and cultures.

That’s where the friendship comes in. It’s too much to do alone, and trying to take them all by force will be met with too much resistance (which is why the WG hasn’t gotten/can’t get them). You NEED to connect with the world genuinely. You have to make friends. You have to have a crew.

To even reach the island you have to be free, and you have to have people who support you. That’s why I don’t think there’s a real physical “treasure” to be found. The act of making it there is the proof that you already have the One Piece.

I think the decision that Roger’s crew came to was that even if they wanted to share the joy and freedom, it was too late for them. Roger was already getting old and he was already terminally diagnosed. The rest of them knew that they didn’t have that special quality that Roger had, so they had to leave it to the next generation.

Maybe some of them thought it’d be Whitebeard. I bet a lot of them hoped it would be Shanks. Roger probably thought it’d be Ace. But he didn’t and couldn’t know for sure, so he had to make a scene. He had to turn himself in and use his notoriety to inspire people, to create the Great Age of Pirates. He planted the seeds of the next generation to ensure that somewhere, somehow, his will would carry on.

What a fucking shitty thing to think.

They spent that night sharing memories and stories, hopes and dreams. Ace wasn’t some sexy piece of ass, he was Yamato’s first and only friend, and the first feeling of hope he had ever had since learning about Oden in the first place many, many years ago.

To Yamato, Ace was the new face of freedom, and his big chance at taking that freedom for himself, his greatest and most meaningful dream. He was the promise of a better future.

The bond they created that night by talking, by laughing, and by sharing their ideals is FAR more important and meaningful than whatever version of a stupid one night stand you can up with.

You bring your mic far too close to your mouth. It does not have a filter on it so listeners are forced to hear every noise your mouth is capable of making.

“Uh… wow,” you whisper (you can’t speak normally because of the aforementioned proximity to your mic).

You pause, looking off into the distance and blinking your eyes 38 times to emphasize that you’re uncomfortable with having spoken aloud the quoted statement. If you were with your gossiping friends, this is where they’d put their two cents in, but without them you have no idea how long to hold on this lack of thought, so you make a note to cut here in editing.

I’m demisexual so I only begin to experience sexual attraction after I’ve become emotionally attached to someone but otherwise I’m actually usually sex repulsed when it comes to situations with people I don’t know on a personal level

This being the case I have gotten attached enough to a few fictional characters to the point where I would be attracted to them if they were real

He himself isn't terrible but he's the most 6/10 Youtuber ever and his fans are ravenous beasts that will click on any video that has anything to do with him. So if you spend any amount of time on Pokemon Youtube, Mario Youtube, Zelda Youtube, or even Magic the fucking Gathering Youtube you WILL see him over and over again and his cartoon face will be in all the thumbnails and his name will be in the titles and he will contribute almost nothing of interest in any of them

I've seen good youtube channels that make their content less good so that they can force smallant into the thumbnails of more videos and I guess success is more important but I think that just fuckin sucks
