Just so we’re clear, if I point out that you did something racist, that’s not the same as me thinking you’re irremediably terrible. You did a racist thing.

You think you don’t do racist things, homophobic things, etc? You do. I caught myself in fat phobic and homophobic lines of thinking/speech just this morning. I’m fucking gay married. Nothing disqualifies you from acting in a way that reflects the society you exist in. We are obliged to fight it. Why not fight it in honesty and with camaraderie?

its really fucking weird that whenever i talk about fat liberation and positivity people will weaponize the existence of restrictive eating disorders to argue that hating fat people is ok actually and that they (skinny people with restrictive eating disorders) should "be allowed" to talk about how much they hate fat people and fat bodies and body shame fat people, not even considering that i might also have a restrictive eating disorder and that comments like these might make me want to relapse into self starvation, because im fat and people dont think that fat people can have restrictive eating disorders. or maybe they think that a fat person having a restrictive eating disorder is a good thing because if they starve themselves enough they might become skinny. idk
