I want to talk about this headcanon and the fact that Shinobu in the manga panel does not have cherry blossoms surrounding her, let alone her in a field of them. I want to talk about this headcanon because I have posted it about earlier and I realised these were not wisteria flowers...And canonically wisteria does remind Tanjiro of Shinobu and the ufo could have shown her in the field of wisteria but they showed her surrounded by cherry blossoms...I do want to talk about this headcanon because I have a headcanon of mine and it is that this choice of showing her in a field of cherry blossoms was deliberate but for that, as I said earlier, we will have to wait for 2029 movie because, in the end, only one other character walks through a field of them......
Also, the fact that Giyu's flashback of Sabito in anime had a scene where Sabito was surrounded by wisteria flowers and Shinobu is a character most often associated with wisteria is another detail I love .. Because what do you mean the two characters who share the most interesting subtexts with Tomioka —poetic, grieving and angsty— are associated with wisteria in their essence.
