Hey! I really love your recipe, but I have a suggestion. Snails know when they need and don’t need calcium, and will naturally go to wherever you supply it whether it be snello or cuttlefish bone. Putting calcium in their food forces them to intake more calcium than they need, and can eventually calcify their blood and organs if done over a period of time. I’d take out the calcium power and eggshells, and make some snello with it instead!

Algae is pretty normal, and happens to grow on snail shells just as well as any other surface in your tank, that’s nothing to worry about! It just sounds like he’s a bit lazy to me. How long have you had your snails, and did you quarantine them before putting them together?
