LET IT BE

Her eyes are like diamonds. Her flesh soft and warm like a hug. Freckles running across her nose like a cute field of daisies. Her hair soft and blonde, smelling with lilac scent. Her scent, oh god, it still turns up sometimes in random places taking me back to when I used to be in deep conversation. Sometimes just brief passing by. Why does my mind hold on to you so vividly. For such a short time we’ve wed ourselves to this union that we hoped wouldn’t end but I had to make choices. I still think of you every day. I still want to talk to you every day. I see inside jokes that we’ve made and I want to share them with you…but I can’t. It kills me inside. The more I think about it the more I wonder if this was the right way to go. I wonder if this was the right move. I’m hoping after a while my heart will stop this ache it has and just move on but I don’t know if it will.
