✨💜✨💙✨💚✨ I just want to remind everyone, being called ‘plus size’ is not a put down, neither is being called fat. They are descriptive words used to find the clothes that will fit me or the body type I have. When people says we need to “drop the plus” it’s almost always coming from mouths of people that have not lived much of a plus size life. The struggles of finding clothing, brands and designers that make clothes for us, to fit us. Including the term “plus size” let’s me know this store or that shop will have something to offer ME. Instead of me going through rack after rack hoping to find something buried in the back or worse, nothing at all.. The term “plus size” has found me a job that I love and a community full of kindred spirits and sisters across the globe. When they say “drop the plus” what they really mean is they don’t like the negativity surrounding the words, let’s show them there is no negativity, there is no shame. We’re all doing our thing and we’re doing it well.
