The entire album is about questioning your beliefs and ideals, it's about the shattering of a whole worldview and the fear that comes with it. It doesn't get more Gillion Tidestrider than that!

Constellations is the first song from this album that I added to the playlist, and it's also placed as the second song for Gillion.

This song is about the beliefs you have carried all your life, the ones that you've clung to, crumbling down before you slowly.

These lyrics make me think about Gill repeating "it's my destiny!!" over and over, talking about the prophecy and his oath as undeniable truths even when he couldn't even understand them. Even when he was so uncertain. Even when he didn't fully believe in them or himself. He still tried to make sense of it all.

Then, the more he looked for answers and some glimpses of certainty, he got quite the opposite. It was all fake, and it was all twisted and damn it I wished it meant I can just have a normal life

I think this song drags from the start of his story up until the last episodes (at least 128)

Notos is, from my perspective, about the feelings of regret and guilt that come from living a life that now you know was wrong in some way.

For Gill it would've been that feeling of drowning every time he thought he failed, every time he didn't feel worthy

Something something "I thought if I got stronger I would still be able to keep pushing it" something something "the one that I truly hated the most was myself"...

Before episode 128 my thoughts for these lyrics were about his monologue inside the Luxbris Pearl "the truth is I.Hate.You..." you probably know the rest. Nerd.

I think both interpretations work for this song!

Special mention: This specific line from Torches

Gill often mentioned how ruthless the undersea was when justifying his violent behavior, especially at the beginning. Later it becomes clear that he himself was a victim of this, and he actually resents it. (My immediate thought was how the elders don't remember why he was banished, yet they refuse to give him a second chance).
