as for the manga, I recommend to read it till the fullbring arc. after that kubo starts to not give a flying fck anymore and it shows.

My ultimate favourite ship is Ichigo x Rukia, but I also LOVE Chihaya x Arata and Sasuke x Sakura.

Severus Snape: - Thought muggle-borns were inferior - Called his only friend “mudblood” - Became a Death Eater - Told Voldemort about the prophecy, bc he was 100% okay with killing an infant - When he got to know that it was Lily’s son, he asked Voldemort to spare HER, not caring how she would feel to have her son and husband killed - Bullied Harry simply because he was James’ son - Bullied Neville until he became the poor boy’s WORST FEAR (that same poor boy who witnessed his parents get tortured to insanity by Bellatrix, yet SNAPE was his worst fear.) - Shamed Hermione for her teeth until she cried. And then she permanently changed them. - Threatened to kill Trevor when Neville failed to do a potion - Used his position of power as a teacher to make students’ lives miserable - Told everyone Lupin was a werewolf, and intended to get him fired - Knew that Sirius didn’t tell Voldemort the Potters’ location (I could explain how but I can’t bother now) but still wanted him to get a dementor’s kiss bc of what happened when they were 16 - Helped Harry in the end

- Was a rich, attractive pure-blood who came from a loving family - Relentlessly bullied a poor, unattractive half-blood who was neglected and possibly physically and emotionally abused by his family “because he existed” - Sexually assaulted said half-blood - Cursed other innocent students for the fun of it - Compared his crush to a Snitch for him to catch - Threatened to curse his crush because she didn’t want to go out with him - Said that he would stop bullying his crush’s friend if she went out with him - Acted entitled to his crush even though she made it clear that she wasn’t interested in him - Possibly removed Snape’s underwear to take out his frustration at Lily rejecting him - Continued to bully Snape behind Lily’s back when he finally started dating her - Died at 21 to save his family, something that anyone who truly loves their family would do

Severus Snape:

- Was a poor, unattractive half-blood who was neglected and possibly physically and emotionally abused by his family - Was Sorted into a House full of people prejudiced against Muggle-borns - Called Lily a Mudblood when she grinned at him being sexually assaulted - Joined the Death Eaters because they promised him power and validation, something he had never had - Told Voldemort about the prophecy without being aware that it referred to the Potters and changed sides instantly when he found out that it did - Asked Dumbledore to hide Lily, James, and Harry because he was unable to ask Voldemort to spare all of them - Was forced to take a job at the same place where he was traumatized in his youth - Was cruel to his students but did not abuse them like Umbridge and the Carrows did - Told everyone Lupin was a werewolf because he failed to take his potion and made himself a danger to his students - Was still under the impression that Sirius sold Lily and James out to Voldemort when trying to put him back in Azkaban - Dedicated his life to Harry’s defeat of Voldemort which would have been impossible without him

Kurosaki Ichigo and Kuchiki Rukia, Bleach.

“I swore it on my soul!” He MIMICS Ichigo’s words, Ichigo’s resolve. He has nothing on Ichigo’s place in Rukia’s heart. He doesn’t deserve Rukia. There I said it.

Rukia deserves better

It’s not even about the ships anymore because honestly if Ichihime and RenRuki were better executed I would have excepted it. I am someone who will accept canon as long as it makes sense.

But this? This is bullshit. Kubo spat in our faces. He threw these ships in our face with no proper explaination. No proper execution. He is insulting everything Bleach ever stood for all for money.

Don’t compare this to Naruto. Because in the end Naruto was about Naruto becoming Hokage and he did. I ship NaruHina and although I am not entirely pleased with the execution it was a hundred times better than Ichihime which showed no reciprocation from Ichigo’s side whatsoever.

Bleach, however was about two people who met one night, shared destiny and changed each other’s worlds forever. Two people who saved each other
