They either would've gotten along better or worse. Knowing Dan Heng I'd be tempted to say it might be the former rather than the latter but who knows? Certainly not me.

In general I don't mind longer requests but it does depend on what you mean by "longer." Do you mean more words per message? More messages? Something else? You need to be a bit more specific, I'm afraid.
