Well, weeks after I emailed Hi Rez customer support about getting mysteriously permanently banned from Smite, I got this little message.

“Your account was permanently banned due to in game griefing. Griefing can include Harassment, AFK, Feeding,etc. These types of suspensions will not be lifted. Thanks for understanding and have a nice day. Cheers, HiRezRemy Hi-Rez Studios Customer Support”

So, after asking them what I’ve done to deserve a permanent ban, I got a canned copy-paste response from a robot claiming to be a human. This answers none of the questions I asked and is basically just a big “Fuck You” to me. In my message, I expressed the belief that I’ve done nothing wrong, politely asked to formally appeal the ban, and inquired as to exactly what their reasons were for banning me, as this is not the first time it’s happened and I have never been given a reason. I do not harass people, I do not quit games or go afk, and I do not intentionally feed. And yet I’ve been repeatedly banned without even being told why. How am I supposed to change my behavior if I don’t even know what I did wrong? Not only did they refuse to lift the ban, but they also flatly refused to even look up what rule I broke. I like how he ends the message with “Thanks for understanding and have a nice day”. Well, “Remy”, if that is your real name, fuck you too. Do not thank me for my “understanding” if you’re not going to answer my questions or explain anything for me to understand. And no, I’m not going to have a nice day. I’m sure you’re having a nice day though, since you can just sit behind a computer and ban people without reason and blow off people who ask you to explain your actions.

Never in my life have I ever been banned from any online game before until I started playing Smite, where I’ve been banned without warning or explanation at least a dozen times now. I can honestly say this game has the worst online community of any game I’ve ever seen, and it’s run by one of the most disorganized and unprofessional companies in all of online gaming. People bullying other players with false reports to get them banned is an epidemic in this game, and one that Hi Rez refuses to address. Groups of players partying up and mass-reporting teammates for petty reasons is something that is ruining this game. I’ve seen many innocent players mass reported and suspended because they told the wrong person to buy wards, or told the wrong person that their build wasn’t working, or just had a bad game. I’ve even heard of Hi Rez employees banning players who defeat them in a match. If that’s true, that’s an absolutely disgusting abuse of power that I’m sure goes unaddressed by the incompetent Hi Rez management. So with that said…

Fuck you “HiRezRemy”, fuck you Hi Rez, and fuck all the toxic people in the Smite community who have ever bullied another player, or reported someone for a petty reason. I’m uninstalling Smite from my computer, and I have no desire to immerse myself in this toxic shithole of a community any longer. I’ll be playing League of Legends from now on. For all the issues that game has, at least Riot Games actually cares about their customers. At least that’s the impression I get from their support team, which is more than I can say for the unreliable and irresponsible morons at Hi Rez Studios.

Edit: Also, stay away from tumblr users “blondberserker” and “serpentmythos”. They are toxic and malicious people who inserted themselves into our Smite community on tumblr to spread their hate. Both attempted to harass me about this topic. Both have been blocked and reported to the tumblr authorities. If you see these two harassing anyone, please do the same. These are the exact kind of toxic people I’m talking about in the Smite community. Bullies like them are not welcome in this community or anywhere else, and I’ll personally make sure their accounts are suspended if I hear of them doing it again.

Edit: Tumblr user “mellowminty” also decided it would be a good idea to harass me about this. Blocked and reported.

So for Smite Selfie day I’m uploading some of the pictures from my travels in France! The first ones are just playing around with Neon lights in the Disney Village and I got to be the subject 💁🏻 and the rest is your usual tourist crap, the candid is me in Angelina’s; possibly my favourite cafe in the whole world now! And of course I had to do a Wonder Woman in front of the Louvre!

I won’t be uploading the ones from Greece because of what happened when I uploaded them to Instagram but yeah!
