Over the Garden Wall x Narnia Open RP
[[So me, @amphibianisms and @mediocrepilgrim had this idea so guys, I figured Iâd make a starter for us! ^-^]]
Beatrice sores through a snowy, grey sky. Not quite sure how far she has flown, but she knew her wings tired. Sheâd heard that a witch queen could have the solution to her curse and a way to reverse itâs effect on her and her family. This she sought out with desperation. âTwo mountain peeks, the castle in betweenâ repeated in her mind of where she had heard to go to seek her prize.
She flew on but not long later did the bluebird get caught up in the winds which blew heavily now on the weakening bird. She guessed sheâd have to trek once again when she was rested.Â
Allowing the wind to carry her down she lands in the deep snow, a nice cushioned landing for the tired bird. She really didnât have any idea on how long she had been in the sky but it was taking itâs toll. Beatrice pulls herself from the snowy cushion which softened her rough but controlled landing and she found her way into a small sheltered branch of a bramble bush.Â
The bluebird weaved her way through out of the cold, feeding on the few remaining berries which were cold from the endless falling snow which froze them. Preserving their juicy content from spoiling and so she enjoyed the somewhat sour refreshment they gave before settling to rest.Â
Beatriceâs resting was peaceful, only it ended abruptly to the sound of ringing sleigh bells which chimed repeatedly close by. She awoke, finding herself entwined by the bushes thick foliage, causing her to struggle as she hears the ringing stop and the heavy breaths of 2 exhausted reindeer. She kept struggling, the bush seeming to move slightly with her but itâs branches did not budge or loosen their grip. Beatrice lets out a few songs in distress as the moving of her wings and body caused thorns to bare deep into her, these noises catching the ear of a wrinkly goblin who strays away from his majesty to investigate the noises.
âWhat are you doing, Ginnabrik?â a voice asks coldly, the voice didnât sound too happy about someone but then Beatrice sees the ugly face as the branches are pulled aside and then comes the grim, wrinkled hand which pulls her free. âNothing, just pulling this ere dumb bird from the tree. I eard mumbling and it seems to be the source, my queen.â The ugly face grins, âBring it here, Ginnabrik!â  The queen demands and so Beatrice is brought closer to a chilling sight of the witch. âGet those filthy hands off me!â Beatrice screeches, âDo you even bathe?!â she questions, the goblin seeming to be taken aback.Â
âLet it free, Ginnabrik!â the cold hearted witch says, her chilling tone sending shivers down the birds spine as sheâs freed. Taking flight and landing on the front of the sleigh. âThanksâŚâ Beatrice sighs as she dusts her feathers down, looking quite displeased for a bird. The witch watches, cocking her brow, âSo how does a bird like you get into my domain?â The witch questions, to which Beatrice quickly replies. âI simply followed directions but gotâŚâ She is cut of. âWho cares birdy, no need to tell your life story.â The goblin grunts, âby whom?â the queen stares. âuhh⌠The barmaid said about a witch in another land whom may answer my wish to lift the curse.â She responds but this only catches the queens attention.Â
âI, Jadis, Queen of Narnia shall give you what you seek if you bring me 2 sons of Adam to my home between those 2 peeks. Do not come aloneâŚâ
 [[Sorry itâs long you guys!]]
((Oooh this will be good. Thank you for writing the starter.
Narnia AU.))
-Wirt and Greg were two young boys, who lived in England when it was plagued by the sorrows of World War Two. The boys were half brothers and their step father had recently been sent off to war. Whilst Wirtâs father had left the country a couple of years before the war had started.
It was this reason that the brunet had convinced himself that he wasnât as close with his step father and half brother. Though of course deep down he actually loved them both. It was just that he found it fairly hard to come to terms with and to show it. It was like he kept the truth hidden in a box of lies for fear of opening himself up to these new member of family. Almost as he expected that they would bring nothing but hurt.
As London was unfortunately often prone to an air raid, the youngsters were forced to leave their home and mother. They were taken to a train station by their dear loved one and were tagged. It turned out that the gentleman that was kindly accepting them into his house was a professor. He must have had a gigantic home...Then again Wirt didnât want to go and Greg was at least for now being too immature to understand the seriousness of what was going on. He was making raspberry noised by puffing up his cheeks and pressing down on them.
It was only when his mother spoke up that the future tea pot child realized what was going on. He was being torn from his mother. Wirt frowned at him and then at his mother. The three of them hugged; even the teen sprinted up to his parent and flung his arms around her. Now both him and Greg had both had both parents taken from them in such a cruel way. The trio cried into each other for what felt like hours, but was only really a few minutes.
It was needless to say that the train soon slowed down at the station. A puff of smoke drifted about the area and the sound of the train coming to a stop echoed. Shhssh.
Now Wirt and his little half brother handed in their tickets and were ushered onto the train. The brunet lead the both of them onto the train He frowned at his sibling and sighed as they took their seats.-âDonât move around to much Greg.â-The teen told him, referring to running up and down the train.
When the train began to move the adolescent waved his mother off, while his older brother just frowned at the sadness of their motherâs face.Gosh he was going to miss her.
Of course the smallest child sang and got up and roamed around all the way through the journey much to the annoyance of his older sibling.- âArgh, Greg. Quit being ridiculous.â-He pinched the bridge of his nose.
Once the boyâs had finally gotten to their new home they were greeted by the professor. Though days passed by and they found themselves bored. They had hardly any of their old toys at home and Wirt was told he wasnât allowed to play his clarinet as it was too loud. So most days the chocolate eyed boy would lay around moping, while Greg sprinted about the area.
He didnât even notice when Greg had first sprinted into the wardrobe.
Of course it wasnât long in their world that the boy had rushed towards him spouting about some sort of imaginary world inside the wardrobe.- âGreg, there is no such thing. Now just leave me to sleep.â-He scolded, rolling onto his side. Though a few more persistent moans, caused the teen to give up and head into the wardrobe with the lad.
It was then that he realized.
The Unknown was real.-
