Corpse Bride
((AU Where Wirt is supposed to marry Sara, but has accidentally practiced his vowels in a forest and married a member of the dead. Just like Victor in Corpse Bride.
Corpse Bride belongs to Tim Burton.

-Wirt cursed himself as he sprinted across the bridge that hung over a small river. Why was he so useless? They were just little words, they couldn’t hurt him. He knew Sara could say them. She performed her marriage vowels so perfectly, but Wirt, oh Wirt, he always fluffed them up. At different part mind you, but not once had he been able to say them all the way through.
Sara didn’t seem to be all that bothered, but her parents didn’t want a spoil wedding. They wanted everything to be perfect and the brunet just wanted to impress them and to please his future wife.
The timid male sighed and clamped his eyes shut. He wished he could fly away. But that was impossible. He wasn’t a bird. Perhaps if he kept walking forever he could disappear completely. He wasn’t important to anyone; well apart from his brother. It wasn’t like he wanted to grow up to be like him though. Greg actually didn’t want to be like Wirt at all.
The youth had found himself out here in the dead cold of night because of his self. He had sprinted away from the wedding rehearsal in a panic. Everyone was mad at him (well everyone but Greg and Sara), even he was irritated with himself for not being able to say some simple words. The pressure just got too much from him.
Wirt lifted his head, and finally opened his chocolate brown orbs. He scanned his surroundings. Great now where was he? The groom to be frowned. He was surrounded by autumn colours, even though they were dim from the fact that the sky was covered in black sheets.-
“Alright, alright, you can do it Wirt.”-He told himself. After all; no one was around, it was just him.-
“With this hand I will...”-Stuck already, he threw his hands to his face and breathed a heavy sigh.-
“With this hand I will clim”-No that wasn’t it.
A few more steps.- “With this candle I will set fire to-”-Wrong again.
Come on Wirt. COME ON!
He took in a deep breath.-
“With this hand I will lift your sorrows.”-Wait. He was doing it. He was really doing it.- “Your cup will never empty for I will be your wine.”-That was it. Never before had he felt so prideful; the boy even began to dance and parade through the trees.-” With this candle I will light your way in darkness.”-He produced the ring from his pocket.-
“With this ring, I ask you to be mine.”-He smirked, placing the gorgeous little piece of jewellery on what looked like a branch. However, the branch was oddly shaped and thin, much like the delicate finger of a lovely lady.
It was then things began to change. The sky darkened even more if that was even possible. Even the wind picked up like a hurricane was on its way. Something didn’t seem right. His lips pulled downwards into a frown.
Suddenly, what turned out to be a hand grasped his hand and tried to hold him in place.-”Gaaah!”-The once gnomish male screamed, trying to pull away, but the hand wouldn’t let go.
Unable to make a quick get away, Wirt watched in horror as a red headed girl in a bridal dress ascended from the ground. Dirt smeared her once pretty dress and her freckled face. She was as pale as death and had a whole in her cheek where decay had claimed her.
Now standing at her full height the undead bride stared right into the other’s soul.-’I do.’-She whispered.-
“What?! Ah!”-He cried, turning around on his heel and trying to make a break for it. Unfortunately, in the process he had accidentally ripped the girl’s hand off as it clung to his hand. Of course he did try to shake it off.-
