My least favorite art advice is the whole “stop playing video games and watching tv and movies, just focus completely on art” it sounds stupid because it is I cannot understand why it’s still parroted. Some of my best drawings where I made leaps in improvement were because I played a video game or watched a movie that inspired me to go all out and push my limits
