The Maxx (1995) is one of the most original adult animated series of the Nineties and is now regarded as a cult classic.
Created by Sam Kieth and adapted from his own Image Comics series, it premiered on MTV April 8, 1995, as part of the Oddities programming block. The series consists of 13 episodes, each running approximately 12 minutes.
At first glance, The Maxx appears to be the story of a bizarre superhero named Maxx, a towering man in a purple suit who lives as a homeless drifter in the real world. However, the series soon reveals itself to be a deeply psychological exploration of trauma, identity, and the ways the human mind creates mechanisms to survive.

After a really, really shitty day, the absolute urge should just open up a lava lamp and chug It is palpable... but I guess I'll just open up a beer instead.
On the topic of Ganondorf designs I think whoever made this concept art should be executed
I'm starting a collection I call it "concept art that sucks a lot and is pretty bad but it's somehow worse that they thought it would be okay to share it"

Google quietly added generative AI capabilities to Google Earth, allowing anyone to generate false images on top of real satellite imagery. It seems pretty rudimentary, but the potential for disinformation is sky-high.
Anyway, did y'all hear that they nuked the White House?
Within the first few hours of its discovery, people on Twitter used this tool to generate an Epstein Island attraction at Disneyland, a mega-prison within Google’s headquarters, and a sequel to 9/11.
Google has already announced that they will be “rolling back” this feature because of screenshots like these:
The fact that they want to bring it back with “guardrails” is ridiculous. Screenshots like these are not the work of some malign actors, they’re instant proof that your idea is terrible on its face
What did they think was going to happen
gentrification is when trash goes in trash cans
context: these are not trash cans for pedestrians to throw their food wrappers and whatnot in, nyc already has plenty of those. these are trash transfer bins for buildings. up till now, the official procedure for the enormous volume of trash generated inside all of nyc's tall buildings was to package it in big black plastic trash bags and pile it on the sidewalk for the trash collection trucks to collect. people have been talking about installing collection dumpsters for decades and i guess mamdani's finally getting it done.
in case you're wondering why the hell anyone would object to not having stinky plastic trash bags piled high on the street at least twice a week every week, or to making the trash collectors' work go faster and be less dangerous, it's because the plastic trash bags get piled on the sidewalk and the bins, as you can see from the picture, will permanently occupy spaces formerly used as street parking.
yes, even in the most pedestrian-friendly city in the USA, where a substantial minority of residents have never learned to drive, car brain is still a hell of a drug.
reasons to switch from the automobile to the helicopter as society's main mode of transportation
it is dramatically more complicated and will make transit harder
many more fatalities will occur
offering the required training will cost us unfathomably
everywhere would be insanely loud 24/7
500% increase in fossil fuel emissions
you can rappel out of them
I know we talk a lot about the literacy crisis and the horrible anti-intellectualism happening rn but I think we need to talk more about how much of an entitlement complex the stupidest among us have developed
come on man
he's struggling with that ink pen

as a kid i constantly watched roadrunner and coyote cartoons and i’d play roadrunner and coyote with my dad which involved me running loops in my house bc the rooms made a circle while he tied a couch cushion over a beam to fall on me like an ACME anvil
happy fathers day
