Ā She took the water clumsily; her eyes slightly dis-orientated as she felt the need for sleep want to take over her. āYeah. A real knockout, literally a piece of rock knocked me out from the earthquake.ā A snort erupted from her nose as she found this unusually funny.
Ā āYeah. No more parties for me then. huh?ā She was pretty sure sheād never go out ever again. Not until sheād calmed considerably. Anyhow, but at the moment it was floating upon a cloud. She could feel hardly nothing.
Henry swore under his breath, looking closer at her injury. "You actually fell unconscious?" he clarified, his hand ghosting over her hair, then to her shoulder, where he let it rest. That was bad. Wasn't it? Blacking out entirely was different than just hitting your head.Ā
Cursing himself for not knowing more First Aid, Henry sat in front of her and made eye contact. "No more parties for awhile," he agreed. "But when you do go, I'll go with you to make sure no more cinderblocks take you out. I'll catch them, or something."
He was hoping to make her laugh again, because though that first one was strained and pretty hysterical, it was still a laugh. Even being as useless as he was, Henry could do that.
