I guess it’s really that simple sometimes…
- 🩵👻
College exams be like
"NOTHING IS ALLOWED!! YOU ARE OUT IF YOU BREATHE TOO HARD! 30 MINUTES!!" (Easiest exam in your entire life)
"Books, notes, calculators, phones and computers are all allowed to use. You can even call your loved ones. 4 hours. Good luck" (Abondon all hope.)
would a plural doctor be called an operating system
I liked this post, scrolled for like another minute before I went “SHIT FUCK SHIT” and scrolled back to reblog it
I always reblog this one when I see it on my dash. When someone posts their own art, writing, or music here they are really hoping you will share it.

Pro tip: blocking a black person for saying “hey your merch is getting whitewashed and I wish you weren’t vague regarding this because other people in the notes are genuinely getting confused and making light of the situation because of said wording” is not helping your case. Hello? How is that holding yourself accountable. In what way.
This is what I said regarding Adrienne’s response to her merch getting whitewashed:
This is because of different people in the notes making jokes, and assuming it to not be as serious or not specifically about whitewashing. I wanted to help clarify and was not meant to be hateful. Adrienne’s response was to block me and only me so that my post wouldn’t show up at all in the notes for other people. I wonder why that is:
This is not a cool response to have to someone politely asking you to not whitewash your black cast.
[IDs: The first image is a screenshot of OP (@/the-bitter-ocean)’s reblog of the mentioned post from insertdisc5 about whitewashed merch, reading: “Thank you for talking to your merch partners regarding this issue, because it’s been happening for a while. For anyone in the notes confused on context click here.”
The reblog has a follow up with a screenshot of OP’s added tags: “#I noticed there was at least a few people confused by the context of this post because it’s. arguably very vague. so I’m being transparent #it’s about characters having paler skin in the final product when they’re meant to be darker skinned #its not a simple mistake as ‘oh no the character shade of hair is slightly lighter gray instead of dark gray’ #or ‘oh no my shirt came in gray instead of black’ #it’s about whitewashing. please people in the notes take that seriously please!! #I appreciate that an effort is being made to correct it period but I didn’t want it to be interpreted as something that’s not a big deal etc”
The second image is discord dms reading “your rb doesn’t show up on the original post hello / this is all there is”, then a screenshot of the insertdisc5 post’s notes without OP’s reblog, followed by “is it because adrienne has you blocked?”
The third image is the replies on the insertdisc5 post showing @/phyllali commenting “oh sorry AND a little red” followed by a blocked/unavailable reply (from OP) followed by phyllali replying “@/the-bitter-ocean i figured that from looking at the notes, but is much appreciated 😊”]

thank you for being my friend again and again and again and again
You need to post a comment on this website right now.
The FDA is considering a petition to make all trans women on estrogen enroll in a registry as a condition of our prescriptions.
If you are in the United States, you have the power to comment on this proposed regulation. The instructions for doing so, and more about the petition, are here. I just left a comment, and it took two minutes. You can do so anonymously.
The petition is bad for other reasons too. It blatantly singles out transgender women and asks for mandatory psychiatric gatekeeping of lifesaving gender affirming care.
right now there are 61 comments on the petition and all are in support of it. Being one of the voices that pushes back is the easiest thing in the world.
If you don't like those posts about how everyone on this website doesn't care about trans women, and wouldn't lift a finger to save us from genocide, here's your chance to prove them wrong.
If you are an expert, a medical professional, or a researcher, we especially need your voice. Please do not hesitate to leave a comment. Again the link is here.
to be clear: a private citizen has submitted a petition to the FDA, and by law they have to consider it. this did not come FROM the FDA. this has been sitting unnoticed SINCE DECEMBER, so while it's important to have a record of pushing back and making sure that when the FDA considers it, it gets thrown out--this is not immediately life or death.
the information at the trans resilience link explains how/why to comment, etc.
the petition has absolutely zero scientific backing, but yes, so far the 61 comments published are all hate-filled, transmisogynistic fearmongering with zero evidence.
iirc it takes some time for submitted comments to be published publicly, so that 61 may linger for a while.
ETA: actually it says over 5k comments have been submitted, only 61 are visible.
crucially if you or someone you know is a professional in any capacity related to hormones/HRT, it's very important that THEY comment on this. there are no expert opinions on this yet, just a bunch of fucking bigots. (there's more information towards the bottom of the trans resilience link explaining what kind of professionals would help and how/why--like legal experts, since the REMS restriction the petition is asking for has no precedent and would clearly constitute prejudice/targeting)
This, yeah. I'm not sure exactly what the process is by which a petition submitted by a member of the public ends up being something they're collecting public comments on--but this isn't the FDA trying to create a national registry of trans women.
This is a bunch of randos trying to get the FDA to create a national registry of trans women. It certainly can't hurt to comment saying it's bullshit, but it's not an immediate danger.

it must feel good as fuck to have a body that actually works
I was never intending on making a post here, as I wanted this to be a place someone could reach me if something were to go awry on my Pluralpedia terms or maybe upload my terms here or on a similar blog.
But with Simply Plural shutting down, I want to give my honest opinion and speculation. Forgive me if I seem a bit unhinged, but I need to get this out, as I'm incredibly upset that something that has been helping with my disability is basically being stripped away.
While I can use Ampersand (as it has an Android app, but sadly not iOS), this does not have the feature I used Simply Plural for. I used Simply Plural to alert my partner systems and my friends of who was front and for mood tracking. With Ampersand, I can't do that. And no alternatives have this feature, aside from potentially Octocon.
While I am a traumagenic system, I happen to "system-hop", between my side system and main system. That was banned on Octocon as even topics of discussion. There were people who were banned for simply existing as endogenic systems on this app. This proves that the dev team and/or owner were seeking out profiles with things they personally disagreed with and banned them for no reason, which is something you have to agree to in order to use the app.
I do not trust a dev team and owner that treats their userbase in such a way, and since I am a programmed DID system, meaning my system is almost entirely traumagenic in origin, it is not a safe space for me due to how my system operates, as well as the fact that I am pro-endogenic and do not discriminate other system origins in any way. I do not want to be on an app where simply expressing my support for those who are of different origins can get me banned.
On another point, I'm very skeptical of how Amaryllis has decided to handle this situation. I took the time to archive (link) the blog post. I will be using They/Them for Amaryllis, as I'm not sure of their pronouns, and the second someone tells me their preferred, I will edit this post to reflect their proper pronouns.
Anyways, my points.
Simply Plural brought about Simply Plus (link) in November of 2025. This was four months ago. I also had this archived (link).
Now, as someone who uses Simply Plural rather consistently, I didn't even know of this. If it were the finances, well, I'm sure they could have pushed Simply Plus a bit better? Why set up a premium subscription and then sunset the app less than half a year later? This... Really doesn't sit well with me.
I also want to point out that The Plural Association (link) was helping support them, as were other people donating to them, as referenced in their Simply Plus (link) post, which I archived (link).
I also want to point out that... On their patreon (link), they have 136 paid members and you can see their tiers here (link), as well as my archive (link). Since Archives don't let you move around, I also want to point out that their highest price is $31.
I want to point out that, if my math is correct, on the lowest tier, if 136 people are paying $3.50 a month to support Simply Plural, that's about $476 a month. That's the lowest possible income from their patreon alone.
And that's not pointing out their Simply Plus (link) and archive (link), which has a similar pay system.
Then, the claims of being a single person running the app in the "Simply Plural is being Discontinued" post.
But this is... Blatantly untrue? In their release of 1.8 (link), they said you could reach out to their team on Discord. I also archived (link) this.
Why would you make such a claim? When you completely contradict yourself.
And of course, I can't speak for this, but apparently, the Simply Plural Discord has basically shut down any discussion or cries for help. When Octocon has drawn criticism for being disingenuous about their "change of heart" to be "neutral" to non-trauma systems, messages were deleted and users were told "don't bring that here." when it is a very reasonable concern.
The sudden push to move to Octocon from the Discontinued post feels very off, considering the above factors.
I also want to point out... They say its not fees that are the problem, but rather their won personal time... But they have a dev team with them, do they not?
Why not just hand it over to another person in your team?
Not only that, but the "We'll keep it up longer if you give us money, but it'll come down eventually" is extremely fishy.
I'm not buying this "I'm a single person (who has a dev team) and I'm getting burnt out". Especially with the seeming hesitation to make the code open source for people to make their own Simply Plural apps.
This is incredibly frustrating because for many people, Simply Plural is not just an app. It is an Aid. A disability aid. An accessibility aid. Taking away Simply Plural with absolutely no alternatives that meet the same needs is akin to taking away my cane and not giving me a viable replacement in case my knee decides to partially dislocate in public again.
Every user SHOULD be angry and upset about this, especially with the seeming refusal to allow others to make a new app and instead ushering them to an app that has a turbulent history within the system community itself, that has made itself known to be unsafe for users that disagree with it's creator.
Amaryllis, I suggest two things. To hand the app over to someone else and let development continue, or to make the code and app entirely open source so people can retain their disability aid.
