Rebuilding the Garden + FAQ
Post last updated January 10, 2025
Hello caretakers! It’s uhhh… it’s been a while hasn’t it. Last post I made on here was… well…
yeah.
I’ve posted more on other platforms, but very infrequently. I’ve been hoping to use my social media platforms more, but not solely for art and gaming. I have plans for how I’m going to use these platforms, but you’ll just have to wait and see. I’m currently moving things around and testing out a few things, so you may just see some changes happening with my accounts. But for now, I’m going to use this post to answer some questions you may have.
“Wait, so who are you?”
If this is your first time here, hi, I’m MeadowLeafy (or Meadow is fine). I’ve been making media content since 2017, ranging from gameplay, digital art, and podcasts. I’m currently an undergraduate at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, majoring in Psychology. My hobbies include video games, consuming social commentary media, learning Japanese, and reading Yuri manga. I also enjoy traveling and consuming other cultures, having been to many places around North America, Europe, and Asia.
Going into depth about my interests, I usually play a lot of Nintendo and gacha games. Recent games I’m currently playing are Cyberpunk 2077, Grand Theft Auto 5, Umamusume: Pretty Derby, Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage, Pokémon TCG Pocket, and Splatoon 3. I listen to a variety of music genres, but Indie Rock and J-Rock are what I regularly listen to. Favorite music artists include Glass Animals, Hippo Campus, Vistas, ヨルシカ (Yorushika), Ado, Mega Mango, and The Sukis.
I’m also a trans woman. I’ve been out since 2023 and have been medically transitioning for more than a year as of this post. I use she/her pronouns, yet I don’t mind being referred to with any pronouns as I tend to present androgynous (femme leaning) most of the time and find it fun to be a man as a woman (which really shows what type of person I am). And if the Yuri manga didn’t give it away yet, yes I am for the ladies🤭
“What will this blog be used for?”
I plan to use this blog to share more IRL experiences that I’ll have moving forward. I don’t have a concrete idea on what I will post on here or how frequently I’ll be posting, but it will be in general a place where I will just be documenting my life.
“What type of content will you be posting now?”
I’m planning on posting more social commentary on my YT channel rather than gameplay. I’ve started to grow out of creating gameplay videos due to time restraints as well as wanting to enjoy video games more for the experience of playing rather than creating content from them. I’ve always been really interested in how people interact and view the world and wanted to start discussions on social issues that pop up on social media through a humanistic lens.
I plan to continue art through Instagram, but it will mainly just be art telling stories from my personal experiences. I also will be using it to post more IRL content like I will with this blog, but in a shorter format.
As for live-streaming and DeviantArt, I am going to be abandoning those platforms for the foreseeable future. I’m not sure if I will be using them again and for what reason, but it will help me to manage the platforms I will be often using now.
And about ProjectXavius, I do not have any plans for continuing it right now. As much as I do want to continue it as well as the comic, Against All Odds, I just do not have the time nor motivation to continue making art for it. Maybe in the future I will return to it at some point, but for now it will be abandoned for the foreseeable future.
“How often will you be posting now?”
Due to life in general, I may just be posting infrequently or irregularly across multiple platforms. I’ll do my best to create content and post on my platforms whenever I can, but my life does tend to change quickly so who knows.
“Why is everything nature/garden themed?”
I wanted to create a safe space that felt comforting for everyone, and what better way to do that than through nature.
“Do you own a Blåhaj?”
Weird question, but yes. Both the big and small one. Here’s one of them next to my hormones.
What a cutie.
“Hey, I know you IRL/You’re in my ___ class!”
Not a question, but hi! I’m down to talk and become friends if you’re interested, although you may want to initiate first as I tend to be shy even if it doesn’t seem like it.
“Is there a way for me to ask you questions?”
My Tumblr inbox will always be open as well as my Instagram DMs.
“Is there a place where I can see all your socials?”
meadowleafy.carrd.co
And that should be it for now. If any more questions come up or if I have any more information about anything, I will update this post when needed. For now, I am excited to be back and posting again, as well as being able to create content on my own time and terms. My next update as of posting this will be on YT once I get the channel set up. But for now, I hope to see you all again soon. Stay safe, caretakers.
