          okay, so that wasn’t exactly the best.. he had gotten nervous again, and he messed up his words again.. his voice had betrayed him and in response to that, his face had reddened incredibly so. a blush lingers on his cheeks, and he nods at ernest. calm down, you got this ! he takes a deep breath, and attempts to say another chat up line. 

                    “ a — are you a, um, camera ? because every time i — i look at, uh, you, i smile. “

          closer, definitely closer--- and h.g. might even be able to make it work for him.there’s a sort of charm in the way he stutters and the flush of red that doesn’t quite leave.

                   ❝ you’ve still got to work on your confidence--- you’ve got the lines down, you just need to work on that delivery. don’t be afraid to initiate contact. like this--- ❞

          in a single smooth motion he takes h.g.’s hand in his own with a charming smile, a slight bow of the head that lasts for only a moment before he launches into the line and punctuates it with a wink.

                  ❝ about six more shots— ❞

          cue ernest taking a shot and casting a glance to the blonde currently serving drinks to another patron.

                  ❝ —and maybe the bartender. ❞
