Hi everyone, and Iâm so sorry to have to do this.
This week our cat Cain came down with a really nasty bug. This happened last summer and I was hoping that with supportive care, weâd be able to get him through it as easily and peacefully as we could. That hasnât been the case, though, and weâve had to resort to force feeding him and⌠honest to god just hoping heâd turn around. Iâm at a point now that Iâm incredibly concerned heâs not going to make it without medical intervention. Hereâs the problem, the company I was working for decided to dissolve my position last month and still has not paid me for the seventeen days of work that I did for them in July.
My roommate, and Cainâs mom, also works for that company and they have also not paid her. My account is overdrawn, none of us have money, and we have no idea when weâre going to get paid. Cain needs to go to an emergency vet, which can run up to $1,000+ and obviously neither of us have that, and vets here donât bill you later.
Cain is only a year old, almost two, and heâs one of the sweetest cats Iâve ever had. He plays fetch, he has full conversations with us, and even though he plays too rough with his brother sometimes, I donât think any of us can imagine a day to day life without him. I donât want to lose him just because I canât afford to get him the help he needs right now.
Iâm out of options so Iâm coming here, as humbly as I can, to ask for help. I know finances are tight for everyone right now, and thereâs absolutely no pressure to give anything.
