My Roman Empire with forever be the song “Wasted Time” by Skid Row.

On top of the amazing instrumentals and vocals, the meaning is so special. The fact that Sebastian Bach wrote such a meaningful song for Steven Adler, because he saw Adlers decline after being kicked out of Guns n Roses. It’s so bittersweet. Also I just love the lyrics so much, the song hits every time.

Just like that, I’ve been on tumblr for one year!!

I’d like to start a new series to discover new music and to get myself back into the habit of posting.

What I was thinking was you guys could send me music to review, whether that be a singular song or an artist as a whole.

I’ve previously posted a master list of genres I like so you could use that as inspiration but I’m very much open to anything!

Thought I’d come on here and make a short post about recent events in the music world.

First of all, rest in peace to Ace (Spaceman) Frehley. He was such a strong member of KISS and also I enjoy his solo work. His death was pretty sudden and I wish his family all the best.

Secondly, rest in peace to Sam Rivers, one of my favourite bassists. Limp Bizkit is a band I really enjoy and Sam is definitely a key component to their sound. Another great musician gone too soon.

I’ll try to keep posting but I’ve also started a new blog, and handling two blogs plus life in general gets tough.

Once of my biggest music heartbreaks will forever be Mia Zapata. I came across the mention of the Gits while researching for a project. After doing a deep dive, watching a documentary, and getting into their music, I’m so heartbroken over Mia’s story. Her voice is so unique and the Gits songs are so catchy.

One thing I think about often is the lyrics in sign of the crab, it gives me chills to think about them.

Moral of the story is; The Gits are an amazing band and Mia Zapata has an incredible voice.

How am I supposed to tell them that I like grunge, glam rock, alternative rock, funk rock, 70’s classics, death metal, nu metal, 60’s love songs, riot grrrl, classic rock, goth/darkwave, hard rock, punk, industrial, indie pop, and musical soundtracks?
