"i'm always willing to lend a creative mind to the jacket making process. i think the y2k vibe would probably work out for the best. that's really been popping these days. and i think it'd be something everyone would vibe with. like yeah, leather is cool and all, but it's so overdone." they took another drag from their cigarette, slowly breathing out the smoke. "or, we could always have two jackets. members get to choose one or have both if they want. how's that sound?" they tapped their pointer finger against the cigarette, knocking off some of the ash that had built up. "if i'm being honest - i wouldn't have come if it weren't for my management team. they roped me into this."

"is that my gorgeous and incredibly talented sis?" she inquired, tone playful as she approached kaia. gemma had been so busy with work lately that it felt like the two hadn't seen each other in a little while. "i can't believe my eyes that you're somewhere other than the studio or on a set." she chuckled as she greeted her sister with a warm embrace. "for real though... i didn't know you were coming but i'm so happy to see you."

it had been quite sometime since kaia had last seen her older sister. even though the two of them kept in contact through phone calls, facetimes and text messages, they were both very busy women. with gemma working on her music and kaia focusing on her acting career, it was no surprise that the two of them couldn't find time to hang out. which was why she was so happy to see gemma at the event, a huge smile spreading across her face as soon as she spotted her. "i don't know - is that my beautiful, outstanding, songstress sister i see?" she teased, her arms opening to embrace her sister. she squeezed her tightly, her eyes closing as she relished in the embrace. hugging her sister would always be her biggest source of comfort. "you know i'm not one for parties and shit. but i had to pop out at this one. and i knew that i would see you here. did you really think i would miss out on seeing you?"

         they  hide  their  smirk  by  sipping  on  some  tea  .  eyes  roll  as  they  feel  the  disapproval  oozing  out  from  the  small  group  of  older  society  women  .  and  while  a  garden  party  is  probably  the  last  place  anyone  would  expect  them  to  be  ,  it  was  all  the  more  reason  for  harlowe  to  show  up  .  “  i’m  getting  the  feeling  that  they  don’t  like  that  i’m  here  ,  ”  harlowe  comments  to  [  your  muse  ]  .  head  nods  to  point  to  the  group  of  women  .  “  i  overheard  one  of  them  say  that  my  outfit  is  not  spring  enough   . . .  whatever  that  means  .  ”  looks  over  to  the  group  and  waves  .  “  judgy  older  women  aside  ,  are  you  having  fun  or  being  judged  too  ?  ”

krishna was used to getting stares from people - especially older people. they tended to not care for the way that they dressed and the way that they presented themself. heavy eye makeup, painted nails and multiple bracelets and rings weren't the norm for people who presented masculinely; krishna knew that. however they still couldn't help but be annoyed by the looks they received. at least in the beginning. now, they didn't really pay them any attention unless they were brought to krish's attention. "hm?" krish cocked their head to the side in question, before glancing over in the direction of the group of women. "ah.. people like them always have something negative to say. i'm not surprised.. besides, what does that even mean? 'spring enough', pfft," they scoffed. "i'm having as much fun as i can have surrounded by so many judgy older women." they shot the other a smile. "how about you? having fun besides the obvious?"

“hm, i got it right.. what can i say? i’m a smart cookie. i read between the lines and whatnot.” krishna couldn’t help but chuckle at their own little joke, reaching out a hand to gently take the offered cigarette from her. usually they tended to stick with their vape, but their manager had somehow sneakily confiscated all of the vapes that they had on hand while they were out and about - the cigarette was the second best thing. “do i get a jacket for becoming a member?” they questioned, fishing a lighter out of their pocket so they could light their cigarette. “hmph,” they made a noise with the cigarette between their teeth, flicking the lighter a few times before it finally caught aflame and lit the butt of the stick. krishna inhaled deeply before breathing out a cloud of smoke. “i’ve been ready to go ever since i got here. how about you?” 

kaia couldn't really deny that; most of their peers did tend to be pretty wild and crazy. it didn't take much for her to think back on all of the headlines she had seen over the years, highlighting questionable and illogical to downright immoral and despicable choices the people that ran in their circles made. that alone was more than enough to steer her in the right direction and away from causing any problems with the public. the last thing she needed was bad press. "you know what? i'll give you that one," she finally conceded with a nod of her head. "maybe they're waiting for the grand finale of the party to do something wild and interesting? gotta keep everyone on their toes, you know?"

         been   playing   catch   up   for   a   while   now   ,   switching   from   the   aromatic   notes   of   provided   tea   to   something   stronger   from   the   bar   (   champagne   ,   it'll   just   have   to   do   )   .   not   nearly   enough   to   catch   herself   a   mess   ,   but   enough   to   take   the   dragging   quartet   –   which   admittedly   could   send   her   to   sleep   if   she   focused   too   hard   –   away   from   her   frontal   ,   more   so   focusing   on   the   company   kept   .      “   hey   ,   ”      tone   is   hushed   ,   ushering   the   first   person   she   sees   to   her   side   with   a   smile   .   it's   like   she's   keeping   a   secret   from   the   entire   rest   of   the   attendees   …   but   perhaps   that's   the   interesting   part   of   it   all   .      “   what   do   you   think   my   odds   are   on   …   one   ,   somehow   making   an   excuse   to   vape   in   here   ?   and   two   ,   not   being   painfully   obvious   when   i   want   to   leave   early   ?   without   these   little   pastries   …   i   think   it'd   be   an   entirely   different   story   .   ”

the sound of a hushed voice quickly grabs kaia's attention, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion as she fixed her gaze on the beautiful blonde in front of her. "hm?" she inquired, the slight inflection in her voice leaving her question unspoken but heard loud and clear. it didn't take longer than a second for the question to register with her, and she let out an amused sound - the noise a cross between a snort and a chuckle. "i think it'd take a miracle for you to get away with vaping in here. but if you want to try, then by all means - i'd love to see that." kaia couldn't help but sympathize with the other girl; there were about a million other places she would have rather been in that moment too. "you know what i usually do when i don't want to be somewhere that i'm forced to be? smile. tap into those acting skills, y'know? ..pastries? why is this the first time i'm hearing about pastries? where?"

       any event thrown with people her parents age was suffocating and after only an hour of attendance madison was feeling it. making it even worse her parents were actual attendees this time though shankfully she had managed to avoid them. god she needed a cigarette and at this point she couldn’t care less about what people here thought of her. finding a secluded part of the garden away from the crowd she sat on the groun not caring about dirtying her dress and pulled out her bedazzled cigarette case before pulling one out. as she lit the roll she heard footsteps approaching, “snitches get stitches…” she spoke lightly blowing the smoke out, “but then again i really don’t care. your welcome to join me if you’d like, other option is leave though.”

it wasn't surprising that krishna was eager for an out from the brunch. they weren't an antisocial person, but they had to admit that they didn't really feel like they fit in with the crowd. sure, they were dressed the part - fancy clothing and whatnot, but they knew that they must have looked as out of place as they felt. years of being in the spotlight hadn't made being amongst the upper class any more comfortable for them. krish wandered through the garden, a soft sigh of relief escaping their lips when they were finally alone. or almost alone. they stopped short when they spotted a familiar blonde, their eyebrows raising. "who said anything about snitching?" they stepped closer to madison, settling themself down onto the ground next to her. "got another cigarette?"
