Hello Beatle People!!

Starting today, we are accepting submissions for our upcoming Pride Month event!

Throughout the month of June, we want to showcase stories for "Your Story Your Pride". We are looking for submissions that detail people's personal experiences relating to The Beatles and queer identity. These can be personal essays, anecdotes, anything that represents how The Beatles have shaped your experiences being LGBTQ+.

dear loyal subject! (♡˙︶˙♡) rewatched the skit to see if i could come up with something insightful, but just spent the whole time smiling, so here's something smiley! (❁´▽`❁)

The world spins around him, heavy and thick, sweet like candy floss. “You naughty boy,” he teases, lips splitting into a grin as he turns his head to catch a glimpse of the side of Paul’s face, backlit by the late afternoon sun. Like a halo, because of course he’s that bloody cliche. “You get off on this, don’t you? Doin’ this in public?” He can almost picture Paul’s blush, that sweet pink rising high on his China doll cheeks. The image has him squirming a bit as Paul rocks against him, setting a slow rhythm that has John biting down on his lip. “Like you weren’t the one to start it,” Paul retorts. - During the filming of I Am The Walrus.

oookay so i enjoyed the heck out this mini doc about here there & everywhere, its influences and inspirations, and it includes my two absolute favourite interpretations of the song - the cover by emmylou harris, and frank ocean's interpolation of the melody on white ferrari.

it also goes a long way to showing why, for me, it's a real john and paul song for the ages. imagine writing the words "i need my love to be here" while outside your friend's house, waiting for him to wake up. imagine, years later, in your thinly-veiled grief-film about that friend's death, telling yourself you need to let him go by changing the lyrics of his favourite song of yours to, "i need a love of my own."
