I never ever ever understand how people got the idea that Percy looks like your average normal harmless guy cause even in the very beginning of the series he had some intimidating elements despite being so young that only got worse and worse as he grew.

It’s completely canon of Percy’s appearance and mannerisms that:

His neutral resting facial expression is literally a dark brooding look that he got from Poseidon. Like it’s completely canon that he has an awful case of resting bitch face syndrome I will fight you on this.

That on the off chance he does smile he looks like a trouble maker and that he’s up to no good.

That he’s very very sarcastic and snarky.

That when he’s fighting his expression is so dark that it’s hard to tell whether he is the good guy or not.

That just the simple look of anger on his face was considered on par to Jason controlling lightning.

That when he’s fighting, his was literally compared to demon.

I wonder how many times Nico ended up on inconveniently high places when he was still learning how to shadow travel

Here`s a PJO tumblr theme for Halloween, guys!

Nico was just so appropriate for this month. I’m actually doing two versions with Nico, one regular theme (which I will do in the following days) and this one.

Hi guys, I got a really interesting question in my ask box last week; my opinion on what certain demigods smelled like to monsters and satyrs. We all know that Percy and his friends have weird smells that let monsters know where they are, but what do they actually smell like?

Here’s my theory: All demigods have sort of an ancient, powerful aura that classifies them as demigods, but they smell different depending on their godly heritage. Here’s what I think different half-bloods would smell like to monsters:

Zeus kids: They would smell of that suspicious ozone smell before a storm that made you nervous, the smell that made you afraid that you would be scorched by a lightning bolt any second if you didn’t run inside. Also, the fresh smell after it rains.

Poseidon kids: Fresh breeze straight off the ocean. Churning salt water from the deepest depths of the sea.

Athena kids: You know that smell when you open a fresh new book and just flip through the pages smiling? That’s what Athena kids smell like. Also, lemons, most likely by choice. (cause lemons repel spiders you know)

Aphrodite kids: Monsters don’t need to memorize Aphrodite kids’ scents. They can usually smell their perfumes from miles away.

Ares kids: The smell of polished, gleaming armor, the faint coppery scent of blood.

Hephaestus kids: polished, new metal, sort of like Ares, but warmer and less harsh. Some smell faintly of bonfires and burning wood.

Dionysus kids: Grapes, obviously. And wine. (when they reach drinking age of course)

Apollo kids: Apollo kids are hard to place, but monsters/satyrs can almost always recognize them because of a faint, warm glow they feel inside when they are near one. The music coming from said demigod is also a good indicator.

Demeter kids: Freshly picked flowers in the spring, a breeze off of a farm smelling of corn, wheat, and wild cotton.

Hermes kids: Like Apollo kids, hard to place, but monsters know they are present when they get a sudden urge to check their pockets
