"Even small contests can mean a lot!" He placed his hand to his chin and nodded in a very ‘Wallace way.’ "There still exists a pressure and expectation—be it from the crowd, the other contestants, or internally! If you can overcome that at any point, then you’re on your way to getting those dazzling lights cast on you." A small smile seemed plastered on his face. It was rather exciting to talk about contests in a more casual, relaxed, and enjoyable air. Too often was he confined to talk only in competitive tones about something he’d begun solely because he had fun.
Wallace looked to May with a gaze meant to lift the spirits of a child, despite the uncertainties hidden behind the parent’s face. “A synergy between the contestant and her Pokemon is of great importance; but it’s the matter of finding synchronization within that synergy which is evermore important! Your colors don’t need to match, per se, if they in some way exemplify a different part of your act. Hehehmm.” He scoffed to himself as the memories of past opponents and their tacky garbs flooded in at the sound of his own words.
"A-ah! Oh… Troubling…" His smile faded and his hand fell to a level of excitement more appropriate to a man in his puzzled state. "I would love to organize everything on my own accord, but I really haven’t the slightest idea what my scheduling will be like…" He tiled his head up from blatant stupor. "You wouldn’t happen to know how I can get a line with the dean, do you?"
May didn't even know what Wallace was talking about anymore. She lost it at 'synergy' but his passion was so strong and so obvious that she kept nodding and smiling with the same enthusiasm. She wanted those dazzling lights. The only contests she'd been in were lackluster and not that exciting. "How many years have you been doing contests, Wallace?" She just wanted to know how much work it would take to be at his professional level.
The dean? May forgot there was even a dean for colleges. "I've never seen him around ever. Shouldn't you have some special professor hotline where you can ask people questions?" She shrugged. "I'm just a regular student, but I would love to help with anything that I can!! Even if it's just being your errand girl!"
