Love Lagoon

IT'S REAL AND IT'S PLAYABLE!! Love Lagoon now has a playable demo available for download on Mac, Windows, and playable in browser! Off the coast of the Florida Keys lies a thriving bay full of mangroves and marine life. As a newly minted marine biology intern, there's no better place to be sent to conduct research! Discover and document a new species of fish, and... uh, guys... I'm pretty sure I just saw some kind of giant shadow in the water... and don't call me crazy, but I think it was kinda hot?!

Hello hello my lovely research interns and welcome to my 2nd ever devlog!!

Man was this month absolutely insane -- here's what we got done!

-> found a programmer! everyone say hello to the absolutely wonderful @rintittit! -> completed all the backgrounds, sprites, and writing necessary for a demo release -> hired a music artist! (Ghost of Jupiter) (the title/main theme is their work! it's awesome!) -> created + customized the itch.io profile for the demo, then went live! -> concepted, drafted, edited, and eventually released a demo!!! this was the main big thing for this month lol -> submitted that beautiful demo into otomejam over on itch.io -> started writing day 1 + coming up with the new assets i'll need

SO MUCH got done this month... obviously the biggest thing was releasing the demo!! I'm so so happy we were able to get that done on time, and now I can continue working on the rest of the game!

July is a crazy month, mainly because of artfight and potential traveling + dogsitting for me. My main goal for this next month is to get as much writing for the full game as I can done (ideally everything, but I do have four individual routes and eight individual endings to plan and write out, so we'll see how much I get done by the end). Once that's done, I'll tally what other assets (sprites, backgrounds, etc) I'll need based on the script!

Dr. Mack is bisexual, Cero is pansexual and agender (his amphibious species doesn’t really do gender as a concept), August is pan, and Sean is demiromantic and bisexual.
