Should gay characters always be played by gay actors?
Yes always
Ideally, but it’s not essential

I’ve seen a lot of (mostly straight) actors lately talking about how they don’t think they should play gay roles. As a queer person, my first response is ‘that’s stupid’, but then I think about queer actors being passed over for straight actors, that’s not okay, about does that mean gay actors can’t play straight? That’s stupid. Also what if I just really want to watch my favourite ladies kiss other ladies, and I have no goddam idea. What do the masses think? Reblog for reach?
