I fucking hate this. I've been feeling like shit all week. All I've seen on social media this week is just acephobic comments everywhere I go.

What the actual fuck is this.

I hate people sometimes. We're out here living our peaceful lives, and you get people like this who look down on us just because we're ace?

This is why we need more representation, to show idiots like this who we actually are, because as we all know, every ace person isn't the same.

Urghhh just hate people like this. Why can't they leave us alone?

Sometimes I wake up feeling I could do with a relationship but I never picture a relationship where I'm living in the same city as them. It's always pictured as a long distance relationship. Maybe because this is due to my only two relationship being long distance, but then I don't think I would like them close by? Idk I'm odd.

But other days I'm just like yup I'm fine without anyone can deal with myself I'll be the cool Uncle that just will be single forever and just spend time with the family.

I've read Loveless and cried at it so many times just relating to it so much.

It should be a positive thing, right? But many when discovering I was ace, there were many negatives I thought about, like, who would love a person like me?

But throughout the years, I finally am 100% accepting of my asexuality. Yes, I may get annoyed sometimes, but who doesn't.

So I would like to offer a post to share your negative moments so that other asexuals can read through experience and know that everyone has worries with themself.

So here's mine,

My first ever partner faked him being asexual just to make me interested in them. So my friend showed me them, and we started talking and I mentioned I was ace as I felt comfortable and I think they already knew as my friend told them before I mentioned it. In their response, they told me they were also ace. After a few months of chatting to them, they soon said that they liked me, so we started dating for about 6 months before they told me that they weren't ace and just told me they was just to get closer to me so we had something in common. They wanted to just restart as brand new, but knowing they faked being asexual just to get closer to me that annoyed me, I said I needed a break, we were still talking and then a month after I found out they had another partner whilst dating me. I couldn't help but blame my asexuality, I blamed myself. I honestly hated myself for so long before realising that it wasn't my fault. It was so hard to get through this, but somehow, I managed to get through it and accept myself. There's many other times where I blamed my asexuality, as humans we blame things that aren't our fault, it's natural. But just remember it's okay to be upset or annoyed or even angry at the littlest or the biggest things.

Always remember you're accepted here, and I'll always be proud of you even if I don't know you personally.

First I know, I come back after months and post two posts on Acephoba. I feel like we need to talk about this more, because there is so much hate going towards the ace community.

This was just one post I picked at random on Twitter or X with thousands of comments and I've picked out a few. We can just see the lack of understanding of what asexuality actually means and just the general acephobic comments of that we make it up.

People don't realise how much hate we as asexuals get, I admit since coming out I definitely seen way more acephobic comments, I thought people wouldn't care about asexuls and would just let them get on with their lives, but clearly not. People feel the need to say their hate towards us.

I mean they probably don't even realise that in the UK Asexuals aren't protected by the Equality Act meaning we could just be sent to therapy.

It just frustrated me how people actually bring hate towards asexuals, like why do they want to comment on our sexuality?

Anyways, I shall leave you all in peace until I feel the need to rant again, might post a positive asexuality comment thread because I feel like we need one ✨️

I was scrolling on tik tok yesterday and there was a post about someone's favourite celebrity's that are in the LGBTQ+ I scroll through them watching and saw an ace person which I thought was cool, so I went on the comments..

First thing I saw was "Asexuals aren't apart of the LGBT" then there was more going to "being asexual is a myth" etc etc just more acephobic comments across this tik tok.

I've always felt Tik tok is hateful towards aces, every post mentioning ace is just hateful. As you can see from my previous posts where I showcased a bunch of comments from Tik Toks being acephobic.

When I was first finding out asexual, I was searching the whole meaning of the LGBTQ+ like what the letters stand for. It came to A and it went "a is for allies" this was some years ago about 8-10 years ago but at the time I remember just saying something like no silly it's asexual and aromatic.

But I don't know just the lack of understanding we get from people is frustrating. Sorry just needed to rant this out my head.
