R&D: Tissue simulation with Ziva Dynamics for Maya.

Viewport playblasts of:

End result: Animation mesh wrapped to simulation with tummy jiggle.

Simplified simulation meshes converted to Ziva tissues. Body mesh is attached to original animation mesh and the tummy “bone” is attached to body tissue. Simulated dynamics, mainly for tummy jiggle.

For comparison: Walk cycle animation created using traditional skinning methods, no dynamics

Looped walk cycle, no dynamics.

Also posted the method I used to project the simulation tummy to better fit the shape of the animation mesh. The tummy mesh was created with a subdivided polygon icosahedron stretched to roughly fit the tummy cavity. Used Wrap 3 to project outwards to fill the interior of the animation mesh tummy.
