i often see people bring up “why does popstar have a reputation as a peaceful backwater planet where nothing happens despite it getting attacked by evil wizards and dark matter and white people aliens and sapient art supplies every other week” and that’s a very good point. and the answer is because kirby of the stars does his JOB!!!!

early on in their friendship kirby’s like “i protect popstar from threats!” and magolor’s like “popstar has threats? oh man, that’s hilarious. what, did an elderly nruff get loose and start eating some waddle dee’s blue ribbon pop flowers?” and the entire dream team just turns around to give him a Look so deadly that he goes airplane ears.

the most annoying people are people who don't understand storytelling. they be like "oooo how convenient that this thing happened to the main character in the very beginning". yeah no shit. that's why the story begins here

"If this one things hadn't happened the main character wouldn't be so important" You mean the catalyst? If the catalyst of the plot didn't happen the plot wouldn't happen? Dude, that's fucking crazy. No, seriously, it's so crazy that in the book "What Happens After The Catalyst" the catalyst is the only reason the story takes place.
