Week 10
Here are the 4 courses I have participated in! My favourite one was the one regarding the Taylor Swift lyrics because it was creative and something that I had never used before! I'll probably continue to dig on this platform since there are really interesting elements! :)
Week 8
Hey! Here is my work from Week 8's tutorial about Apple Inc. and how they are an innovative tech company.

Thank you :)
Week 7 - Cybersecurity
In this week's tutorial, I had to play a game called Nova Labs! Playing this game was directly linked to our concepts for this week because it was divided into three main parts.
The first part was about cyber leaks. In the game, I had to protect my social media from various attacks, which directly connected to this week's material. To protect my platform, I had to play a game that emphasized the importance and value of having a strong password. I played against a robot, and I am proud to say that my passwords were so strong that it could only find the password I had created once.
Finally, there was another game focused on demystifying errors in text and the importance of having the correct usage rights when communicating online. For example, if you don't have the right logo of a well-known company, it can easily make you look untrustworthy.
I personally truly appreciated playing this game so much that I ended up finishing the whole game! Here are my progress! Thank you :)
CEID 100 - WEEK 6
Here is the video my colleague Teaghen and I have created for this week's tutorial! A little PSA around mental health and social media use!
Thank you! :)

Dis-Information VS Mis-Information VS Mal-Information
Dis-Information:
In this TikTok post, we can easily detect disinformation for different reasons. First, when looking at the name of the account that published the video, we can see that this doesnât seem to come from a reliable source. Looking at their account, you can see they are well known for publishing disinformation content. To continue, when we look at the comments, most validate that this is false and that AI even made up the event. With modern tools, people who want to create imaginative content have the possibility to do so, and this is a good example. Finally, when you look to verify the news, all the sources that come up are also confirming that this post is indeed not true.Â
Mis-Information:
This post is representing misinformation for many reasons. When looking at the video for the first time, the lady speaking seems to be really convincing regarding her story. She will talk as if it is something that she has truly lived and that affected her and her daughter. She is very convincing in her talking and really can fool you if you donât ask yourself more questions. Users can see this is misinformation when they visit her profile and see the follow-up video here. In this follow-up video, Jenny confirms that her first post was misleading and that she was referencing her cat when she was talking about her daughter. This video represents information that isnât true and that can easily mislead people.Â
Mal-Information:
This TikTok post shows Harrison Butker, a Kansas City Chief player, publicly making a hate commencement speech at his Benedictine College graduation. When watching this video, we can see the player talking about different subjects such as abortion, COVID-19 and womenâs objectives/reality. Most of his speech shares information based on his opinion, which is not ethical based on the subjects he is talking about. We can recognize that this is mal-information because there is a lot of hate in his message delivery and, even worse, there is a petition going around to punish him for the speech he has made.Â
CEID 100 - Project Proposal
Here is the project proposal I have built with my teammates Asad and Teaghen!
Thank you :)
CEID 100 - Week 1
Living in a world where everything and everyone becomes a product is something that has become our new reality. Materialism and overconsumption have quickly overtaken physical materials and transformed us, social media users, into a real Facebook Marketplace. With the average person spending 143 min (Statista, n.d.) on social media per day, platforms like Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and many more have been able to understand the proximity they have with the consumer through these platforms. Through time, they have transformed how we shop, get inspired, and mostly how we want to present ourselves to the world. People like you and me have built a social media image that we most likely have control over, or at the least, we think we do have. On the other hand, celebrities like Kim Kardashian or Millie Bobby Brown have such low control over their images that when it comes to social media, a whole crew of people is involved in managing this multibillion-dollar business that we hold in our hands.Â
When it comes to best practices, many different strategies can be used. On one side, we have Kim Kardashian, who was first known for her challenging moments over the internet; this is someone who has chosen to let users decide on her image. Living on the âSpeak of it well, Speak of it ill, but speak of itâ concept, Kim Kardashianâs image isnât, in my opinion, best practice. She has little or no control over her image; to some extent, you forget her audience/niche and what she is trying to do within this world. Her personal branding is mixed in various directions; she lets the internet decide her faith after each post, story, or interview. Some of the content online is inappropriate and provocative and doesnât always show her her best day. She has decided to let the user-generated platform build her image.Â
Finally, on the other side, we have Millie Bobby Brown, mostly known for the role of Eleven in Netflix's successful series Stranger Things, who, in my opinion, delivers social mediaâs best practice. Her image is well controlled; we can easily tell her content is polished and know her center of interest. When looking at her profile, there is a line of conduct throughout the posts, and her personality shines through. In this post, she is representing her company and even though this is entirely in the purpose of selling, she is still keeping her image clean and authentic to her online persona.Â
